The Qur＇an embraces cultural pluralism, emphasising that “People, We created you all from a single man and a single woman, and made you into races and tribes so that you should recognize one another. ”（Q. 49： 13）. Moreover, peace is the most fundamental value in the Qur＇an and Islam. The majority of the classical Muslim jurists, especially Hanafi school, emphasised that the reason for Muslims＇ fight against non-Muslims is Muslims＇ defense themselves against attacks, not non-Muslims＇ faith. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi （d. 1960） states that the only kind of jihad that is appropriate for the present age is spiritual or moraljihad. Furthermore, regarding Qur＇anic approach to relations between Muslims and the People of the Book, Muslim scholars, in general, advocate sincere relations and trust between Muslims and the People of the Book. In addition, Said Nursi is one of the great Muslim scholars in interfaith dialogue in the 20th century. Finally, there is the need for establishing culture of coexistence, which practised before within a religious tradition such as Islamic tradition for many centuries in the history. Through achieving a culture of coexistence and peace, most conflicts can be resolved.

Many contemporary Islamic terrorist groups have been identified as forms of religious ***,the narratives and representations constructed by many of these groups contain traces of religious *** this article,ETIM/TIP’s narratives and representations are examined as a case *** group’s power discourses as they relate to religious fundamentalism are analyzed through examining the group’s rhetoric of its own origin,its current situation,and its reactions toward this *** power discourse of an unconventional“Orientalism”and the use of behaviorist logic are especially ***,the presence of behaviorism in religious fundamentalist narratives suggests the need for China to revise its official national counterterrorist *** of continuing the current behaviorist rhetoric in the legal framework,this article suggests a deconstruction-ultimately,a discouragement-of religious behaviorism to prevent the radicalization of Muslims in the country.

Books in 2010 by Stephen Kinzer,Andrew ***,and Robert ***,major writers on the Middle East and Islam,have clearly articulated the crisis facing both critical areas of the Middle East and Islam,especially as they affect the international relations of such countries as the United *** traces the development of Turkey toward a modernizing secular democracy and Iran toward a traditional Islamic *** proposes a series of initiatives for the United States to utilize to make them allies,as well as to help solve the crisis between Israel and ***“the Iran threat”to America and other Western countries,the very conservative McCarthy claims that Islam’s“Grand jihad”is directed not only toward other Western countries but particularly against the United *** equates Islam as aligned with“the Left”and calls the Obama administration a major part of a socialistic“Left”which enables Islam to defeat American Christian values and heritage from *** claims that Islam chose irrationality over rationality in its domestic and foreign affairs over a millennium ago,leading to a very illusive peace in the Middle East,an area where scientific exploration is nearly dead,translating fewer books in the last thousand years than Spain in a single year,and why Muslims see natural disasters as Allah’s direct retribution for non-Islamic,and thus impure behavior toward Allah.

A large-scale research project on wasat:īya(the political positioning of parties and factions in the centre,which is translated as moderation in Saudi Arabia)was initiated in King Saud University in 2009,and resulted in the publishing of the Encyclopedia of Wasat:īya in 2015 as a six-volume *** national challenge in Saudi Arabia adopted methodology enabling Muslims to form a reliable understanding of the Qur|an verses and the Sunna of the Prophet Muh:ammad,resulting in research conclusions that limit jihad for defensive motivations,advocate judgements of excommunication with deliberation,and separate the Sunna from terrorist *** emerging concept of wasat:īya is the historical outcome of the de-politicised Salafism nurtured in Saudi Arabian political history。

The focus of this paper is the process of radicalization of the San Bernardino attackers and their source of inspiration and *** literature on the pathway to terrorism and jihad appears to agree that pathways and triggers are varied and many with no clear set of traits that one can identify to predict individual paths to jihadism,in short,it is an idiosyncratic ***,while the psychological profiling of high risk jihadist individuals has yet to be fruitful,the psycho/sociological behaviors associated with jihadism appear to offer greater *** paper will divide into four actions:their pathway to radicalization,affiliations/relations,source of inspiration,and the conclusion.

After unsettling some of the leading regional countries,the‘Arab Spring’reached in Syria in *** violent forces it unleashed had widespread and dangerous implications for the region and the *** opposed to the Syrian regime launched a struggle in March 2011,which soon turned to a civil *** nature of the conflict was further transformed when Muslim extremist groups joined it with the objective to implement Sharia laws after the change of *** most lethal among them is the‘Islamic State’or Da’esh,which has influence over large areas in Syria and *** this war,the militants succeeded in amplifying the extremist message and expand the support ***,they not only recruited fighters from the Arab and Muslim countries,but also attracted men and women from the far-off *** fact,the Syrian conflict provided a rallying point to the Muslim extremists in various countries,after they had been weakened due to gradual decline of *** article traces how the involvement of Da’esh in the Syrian conflict energized their global jihadist *** using both primary and secondary sources,the study shows that the emergence of the Islamic State not only increased regional strife(Sunni-Shiite rivalry),but it also increased extremist outreach to strike at far off places in Europe,America and ***,the militants of Da’esh used the Syrian war to take their extremists idea to places relatively unknown to militancy。
