The seabed instability induced by the transient liquefaction when exposed to wave-current may threaten the safety of offshore structures.In this study,the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)equations with the k-e turbulence model were used to imitate the fluid dynamics,and Biot's poro-elastic theory was used to simulate the transient seabed response.An in-house solver(porous-fluid-seabed-structure interactions-field operation and manipulation)integrating the flow model and seabed model with the finite volume method was developed.The present model was confirmed with published experimental results and then used to analyze the dynamic process of the fluid-seabed-structure interactions as well as seafloor liquefaction around the Jacket foundation under wave-current loading.The simulated results showed that the depth and range for the liquefaction area around the Jacket foundation tended to increase at first and then declined as the wave propagated forward in the absence of current.In addition,the results demonstrated that the liquefaction depth under current and wave in the same orientation was greater than that without current.It is worth mentioning that the downstream piles were more prone to liquefaction than the upstream piles when the forward current existed.

The seismic demands of bridges subjected to strong earthquakes are mostly concentrated on piers. The main objective of this study is to assess the seismic vulnerability of retrofitted bridges with steel Jackets. It analyzes the influence of the steel Jacket thickness on the seismic capacity and demand of bridges. The bridges in study have two simple supported spans with superstructure composed by AASHTO type girders and a substructure formed with one circular pier over a stiff foundation. They are located on the Pacific coast of Mexico that is a zone of high seismicity. The bridges seismic capacity are evaluated through nonlinear static analyses and the shear force and displacement demands were determined using capacity spectra with a group of 10 real accelerograms from a subduction source. The response spectra were scaled to several peak ground accelerations(PGA) with the aim to estimate four damage scenarios linked each one to a probability of exceedance in a specific period, for return periods in the range of 72-3500 years that represent service level and maximum considered earthquake. Results show that the confining effect provided by the steel Jackets substantially improves the seismic performance of the bridges piers. The increase of Jacket thickness guides to important increments on columns base shear capacity, and the influence of the steel Jacket thickness depends on the limit state and bridge slenderness ratio.

The Jacket structure has become more popular as the offshore wind-turbine support structure. K-type and inverted-K-type Jacket support structures have superior potential due to their fewer joints and lower cost of manufacture and installation. A numerical study was presented on the dynamic responses of K-type and inverted-K-type Jacket support structures subjected to different kinds of dynamic load. The results show that the inverted-K-type Jacket structure has higher natural frequencies than the K-type. The wave force spectrum response shows that the maximum displacement of the K-type Jacket structure is larger than that of the inverted-K-type. The time-history responses under wind and wave-current load indicate that the inverted-K-type Jacket structure shows smaller displacement and stress compared with the K-type, and presents different stress concentration phenomena. The dynamic responses reveal that the inverted-K-type of Jacket support structure has greater stiffness and superior mechanical properties, and thus is more applicable in the offshore area with relatively deep water.

论文以THE DRESS CODE（国际着装规则）为依据,对相关文献进行采集和综合分析。通过对不同国家THE DRESS CODE权威文献的系统梳理和归纳,对其中Suit、Blazer、Jacket三种重要文献进行了研究和整理。THE DRESS CODE的绅士文化发端于英国、发迹于美国,系统化于日本,所以本论文参考的权威文献均来自于以英国为首的欧洲、美国和日本这些发达国家。在THE DRESS CODE体系中,分为礼服、常服和户外服三大类型,其中常服是日常生活当中穿着机会最多的部分,也是最稳定、最广泛的国际服,被称作是公务、商务成功人士的经典。整个常服系统细化为Suit、Blazer、Jacket三个类别,论文针对每一个类别的称谓、历史背景、风格划分、造型要素、标准搭配、社交规则等方面进行了详尽翻译、阅读、分析和整理,并进行了广泛的案例研究。脱胎于英国绅士文化的现代社交文明和职场着装规则,集中体现在Suit、Blazer和Jacket身上,它们所表现出来的典雅、永恒、朴素和品位特质,无论是外观、结构还是穿着的规则都是在历史长河中沉淀下来的经典,是不受时间影响的永恒时尚。在它们身上不仅仅是一件衣服,更是一段历史、一种文化的象征。这种永恒蕴含着一种永远的朴素与淡定,散发着低调的优雅品质,而这一切在THE DRESS CODE的文献描述中并不是虚无抽象的,而是真实、具象、可操作的。例如,“Suit”是专指相同颜色、相同材质的西服套装,两个条件缺一不可,它有标准的款式、颜色、面料、搭配,它有明确的社交与职场取向等等。这样的文献表述在THE DRESS CODE界定的服装类型中具有普遍性,并形成系统的理论架构和案例体系。

This paper presents an innovative eccentric Jacket substructure for offshore wind turbines to better withstand intense environmental forces and to replace conventional X-braced Jackets in seismically active areas. The proposed eccentric Jacket comprises of completely overlapped joint at every joint connection. The joint consists of a chord and two braces in a single plane. The two braces are fully overlapped with a short segment of the diagonal brace welded directly onto the chord. The characteristic feature of this joint configuration is that the short segment member can be designed to absorb and dissipate energy under cyclic load excitation. The experimental and numerical study revealed that the completely overlapped joint performed better in terms of strength resistance, stiffness, ductility, and energy absorption capacity than the conventional gap joints commonly found in typical X-braced Jacket framings. The eccentric Jacket could also be designed to becoming less stiff, with an inelastic yielding and local buckling of short segment member, so as to better resist the cyclic load generated from intense environmental forces and earthquake. From the design economics, the eccentric Jacket provided a more straightforward fabrication with reduced number of welded joints and shorter thicker wall cans than the conventional X-braced Jacket. It can therefore be concluded based on the results presented in the study that by designing the short segment member in accordance with strength and ductility requirement,the eccentric Jacket substructure supporting the wind turbine could be made to remain stable under gravity loads and to sustain a significantly large amount of motion in the event of rare and intense earthquake or environmental forces, without collapsing.

Finite Element Numerical Method for Nonlinear Interaction Response Analysis of Offshore Jacket Affected by Environment Marine Forces

In this paper a nonlinear response of a fixed offshore platform under the combined forces of waves, wind and sea currents is presented. Wave force acting on the elements is calculated using Morison equation. Hydrodynamic loads on horizontal and vertical tubular members and the dynamic response of offshore fixed platform coupled with distribution of displacement, axial force, and bending moment along the base of the platform for regular and severe cases have been investigated. The structure must be able maintain production in a one-year wave return period condition and also to be able to continue with one hundred-year storm return period. The results of this study show that bending moment values with a one-year wave return period condition for the base platform and junction of platform to deck are 70 percent and 59 percent, respectively more than bending moment with a one-year wave return period. The direction of wave and wind hit has significant effects on the shift platform response, also nonlinear response is important for the safe design and operation of offshore structures.

A Lattice triangular expansion matrix is presented based on the classical Hadamard matrices, which is defined over the fields of finite characteristic. Also, the modular Lattice and Pentagon expansion matrices are structured from triangular 7x7 matrix, each of the expansion matrices are modular the sides of the shape p. The issue for the existence (necessary conditions) of odd and even order matrices of that kind is addressed. The modular Lattice code is highly efficient since it requires only additions, multiplications by constant modulo p. The modular 6 Lattice triangular expanded constellation is even possible efficiency to gain advantage from the channel selection and maximum likelihood (ML) decoding in the interference Lattice alignment (IA) system.

A Study on Crack Detection with Modal Parameters of A Jacket Platform

Crack detection procedures by different modal parameters are analyzed for identifying a crack and its location and magnitude in a Jacket platform. The first ten natural frequencies and modal shapes of the Jacket models are obtained by numerical experiments based on NASTRAN Code. A crack at different locations and of different magnitudes is imposed in the model at the underwater beams. Then, the modal evaluation parameters are calculated numerically, to illustrate the evaluation of modal parameter criteria used in Jacket crack detection. The sensitivities of different modal parameters to different cracks are analyzed. A new technique is presented for predicting the approximate location of a breakage in the absence of the data of an intact model. This method can be used to detect a crack in underwater members by use of incomplete mode shapes of the top members of the Jacket.
