Distributed Order-Up-To inventory control in Networked Supply Systems With Delay

In this work, the dynamics of networked goods distribution systems subject to the control of a continuous-review order-up-to inventory policy are investigated. In the analytical study, as opposed to the earlier models constrained to the serial and arborescent interconnection structures, an arbitrary multiechelon topology is considered. This external, uncertain demand,following any distribution, may be imposed on all network nodes,not just conveniently selected contact points. As in the physical systems, stock relocation to refill the reserves is subject to nonnegligible delay, which poses a severe stability threat and may lead to cost-inefficient decisions. A state-space model is created and used as the framework for analyzing system properties. In particular, it is formally demonstrated that despite unpredictable demand fluctuations, a feasible(nonnegative and bounded)reserves replenishment signal is generated at all times, and the stock gathered at the nodes does not surpass a finite, precisely determined level. The theoretical content is illustrated with a case study of the Chinese oil supply system.

＜正＞Uncertainties inherent in customer demands make it difficult for supply chains to achieve just-in-time inventory replenishment,resulting in loosing sales opportunities or keeping excessive chain-wide *** this paper, two adaptive inventory-control models,a centralized model and a decentralized one,are proposed for a supply chain consisting of one supplier and one *** objective of the two models is to satisfy a target service level predefined for each retailer and to minimize the whole inventory *** inventory-control parameters of the supplier and retailers are safety lead time and safety stocks,*** most extant inventory-control approaches,modelling the uncertainty of customer demand as a statistical distribution is not a prerequisite in the two ***,using a reinforcement learning technique called action-reward method,the control parameters are designed to adaptively change as customer demand patterns changes.A simulation-based experiment was performed to compare the performance of the two inventory control models.

In order to control the reverse logistics effectively, dispose the reverse logistics in batch. On the assumption that the producer permits of callback, the Franchisers would like to assist the control of the inventory of reverse logistics, the callback accords with the Possion distributing and could be used as new after being repaired, with the consideration of the producer’s production plan and the transportation of the reverse logistics, the paper studies the optimized model of the reverse logistics control when dispose the reverse logistics in set volume.

Periodic replenishment inventory models are widely used in practice, especially for inventory systems in which many different goods are purchased from the same supplier. However, most of periodic replenishment inventory models have assumed a fixed length of the replenishment periods. In practice, it is possible that the replenishment periods are of a stochastic length. This paper presents an inventory control model for deteriorating items in the case of random replenishment intervals and stock-dependent selling rate. The replenishment interval is assumed to obey from two different distributions, namely, exponential and uniform distributions. Also, shortages are allowed in the term of partial backordering. For this model, we provide the necessary and sufficient conditions of the existence and uniqueness of the optimal solutions and a procedure is also developed to determine the optimal solution for the proposed models. At last, numerical example is shown to illuminate the presented model.

＜正＞This paper seeks incentive plans to salesforce by considering their impacts on a firm’s inventory decision. The incentives to salesforce affect how much effort sales people exert, which in turn determines the demand pattern and ultimately the firm’s inventory replenishment policy. In particular, we analyze a standard single item, periodic review system in which incentive plans and inventory decisions are made simultaneously to maximize the long-run average profit. Allowing a general sales incentives-demand relationship and a lump-sum expenditure for executing the incentive plans, the expected one-period gross profit, as a function of inventory level, fails to be unimodal in general. We develop an efficient computational procedure for obtaining an optimal （s,S,z） policy: whenever the inventory level falls to or below s, an order is placed to bring it up to S, and when x ＞ s, no order is issued;the choice of incentives to salesforce depends on the inventory level. Further, we explore the conditions under which （s,S,z） policy is globally optimal.

Aircraft Spare Parts inventory control is an important part of civil aviation aircraft maintenance and enterprise *** the collected tire wear and tear data,erect the process and system *** this basis,design an aircraft spare parts inventory optimization system using minimum variance control *** simulates and researches the system that implements minimum variance control by MATLAB Studies,it has shown that using the minimum variance control can control the variance at a relatively low level,thereby it can reduce the average inventory correspondingly,and achieve the purpose of reducing the cost of maintenance and *** analysis and system design results is useful to air material management of airlines.

COORDINATING PRICING AND inventory DECISIONS IN A BOUNDED PRODUCTION SYSTEM WITH UNCERTAIN YIELD

Most inventory researches assume that production level can fluctuate arbitrarily. However, large fluctuation of the production level in many firms may be much costly. This paper addresses the coordinating pricing and inventory control problem in a bounded production system with uncertain yield, in which the production level is constrained between a maximum and minimum level in each period and the price can be adjusted dynamically. We show that the optimal policy is the interval base-stock-list-price policy. Also, we study the impact of the production bounds and uncertainty of the yield on the production system. Numerical experiments are also performed to study the impact of parameters on the system.

This paper considers a two-level supply chain consisting of one warehouse and one retailer. In this model we determine the optimal ordering policy according to inventory and transportation costs. We assume that the demand rate by the retailer is known. Shortages are allowed neither at the retailer nor at the warehouse. We study this model in two cases; decentralized and centralized. In the decentralized case the retailer and the warehouse independently minimize their own costs; while in the centralized case the warehouse and the retailer are considered as a whole firm. We propose an algorithm to find economic order quantifies for both the retailer and the warehouse which minimize the total system cost in the centralized case. The total system cost contains the holding and ordering costs at the retailer and the warehouse as well as the transportation cost from the warehouse to the retailer. The application of this model into the pharmaceutical downstream supply chain of a public hospital allows obtaining significant savings. By numerical examples, the costs are computed in MATLAB to compare the costs in the centralized case with decentralized one and to propose a saving-sharing mechanism through quantity discount.
