Attributes reduct and decision rules optimization based on maximal tolerance classification in incomplete information systems with fuzzy decisions

A new approach to knowledge acquisition in incomplete information system with fuzzy decisions is proposed. In such incomplete information system, the universe of discourse is classified by the maximal tolerance classes, and fuzzy approximations are defined based on them. Three types of relative reducts of maximal tolerance classes are then proposed, and three types of fuzzy decision rules based on the proposed attribute description are defined. The judgment theorems and approximation discernibility functions with respect to them are presented to compute the relative reduct by using Boolean reasoning techniques, from which we can derive optimal fuzzy decision rules from the systems. At last, three types of relative reducts of the system and their computing methods are given.

information granulation and entropy theory are two main approaches to research uncertainty of an information system, which have been widely applied in many practical issues. In this paper, the characterizations and representations of information granules under various binary relations are investigated in information systems, an axiom definition of information granulation is presented, and some existing definitions of information granulation become its special forms. Entropy theory in information systems is further developed and the granulation monotonicity of each of them is proved. Moreover, the complement relationship between information granulation and entropy is established. This investigation unifies the results of measures for uncertainties in complete information systems and incomplete information systems.

This paper identifies a need to complement the current rich technical and mathematical research agenda on big data with a more information systems and information science strand, which focuses on the business value of big data. An agenda of research for information systems would explore motives for using big data in real organizational contexts, and consider proposed benefits, such as increased effectiveness and efficiency, production of high-quality products/services, creation of added business value, and stimulation of innovation and design. Impacts of such research on the academic community, the industrial and business world, and policy-makers are discussed.

It is now possible to organize globally while worki ng locally: information technologies like e-mail, the Internet, and video confere ncing to the desktop permit tight coordination of geographically dispersed worke rs across time zones and cultures. Companies are not limited to physical locatio ns for providing products and services. Networked information systems are allowi ng companies to coordinate their geographically distributed capabilities as virt ual organizations. In order for organizations to succeed, they must be able to r espond with agility in a geographically dispersed environment. The core for a vi rtual organization to increase the utilization rate of resources to the maxi mum and to make full use of the transient market opportunities lies in how to br ing the potential of information technology into play. Based on the philosophy o f agile manufacturing, this paper analyses the basic concepts and connotation of Virtual Organization information systems(VOIS). VOIS is an information system composed of some independent information subsystems that are autonomous, collab orative and belong to umpty organizations respectively. VOIS support the operati on of virtual organization, and automate the information flow across organizatio nal boundaries. Such systems have capabilities as rapid construction, quick oper ation, and agile reengineering and swift adaptability. Differences between VOIS and traditional enterprise information systems are analyzed. On the basis of ana lyzing the structure of VOIS, an abstract hierarchical structure of VOIS is prop osed using object-oriented method. Reengineering ideology and methods of VOIS a re also explored in light of the three layers structure.

All modern computer users need to be concerned about information system security (individuals and organisations). Many businesses established various security structures to protect information system security from harmful occurrences by implementing security procedures, processes, policies, and information system security organisational structures to ensure data security. Despite all the precautions, information security remains a disaster in Tanzania’s learning institutions. The fundamental issue appears to be a lack of awareness of crucial information security factors. Various companies have different security issues due to differences in ICT infrastructure, implementations, and usage. The study focuses on identifying information system security threats and vulnerabilities in public higher learning institutions in Tanzania, particularly the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA). The study involved all employees of IAA, academics, and other supporting staff, which totalled 302, and the sample size was 170. The study utilised a descriptive research design, where the quantitative methodology was used through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, and found that key factors that affect the security of information systems at IAA include human factors, policy-related issues, work environment and demographic factors. The study proposed regular awareness and training programs;an increase in women’s awareness of information system security;proper policy creation and reviews every 4 years;promote actions that lessen information system security threats and vulnerabilities, and the creation of information system security policy documents independently from ICT policy.

information systems architecture (ISA) has become a new research area recently, and many enterprises pay much attention to it. It is now still in its early stage, and opinions vary. Although some large enterprises have some practice in building ISA, theoretical research is still rare to see. Based on the meaning of the term architecture, its application in computer science, its components, and the relationships among the components, as well as the concept and general principle of ISA are proposed, and the framework of ISA is put forward in this paper.

Cybersecurity is therefore one of the most important elements of security in developed countries. Especially since there is an overall trend towards cybersecurity in all aspects of life, I have found that the idea of cybersecurity is based on protecting critical facilities: The nation’s information infrastructure. information systems, including e-government management systems, are managed by key state agencies. As with economic, scientific, commercial, and other systems, threats are threats to a nation’s national security. We have therefore found that many countries are preparing institutions capable of integrating cybersecurity into protection, development, and information security. This concept has become the most important concern of developed countries, which have secured all scientific possibilities and systems to achieve it. The electronic information network has become an integral part of today’s daily lives in all places. In addition to personal uses, digital information is used, processed, stored, and shared. As this information increases and spreads, we have found that its protection has become more vital and has an effective impact on national security and technical progress.

Evaluating complex information systems necessitates deep contextual knowledge of technology, user needs, and quality. The quality evaluation challenges increase with the system’s complexity, especially when multiple services supported by varied technological modules, are offered. Existing standards for software quality, such as the ISO25000 series, provide a broad framework for evaluation. Broadness offers initial implementation ease albeit, it often lacks specificity to cater to individual system modules. This paper maps 48 data metrics and 175 software metrics on specific system modules while aligning them with ISO standard quality traits. Using the ISO25000 series as a foundation, especially ISO25010 and 25012, this research seeks to augment the applicability of these standards to multi-faceted systems, exemplified by five distinct software modules prevalent in modern information ecosystems.
