The patient with irregular menstruation went to our Department(Gynecological Department,the Third Affiliated Hospital,Sun Yat-sen University,Guangzhou,China) with the complaint of no pregnancy at the age of 26 in 2007,and oral contraceptive pills were given when simple type of endometrial hyperplasia was pathologically diagnosed,and then ovulation induction was *** after nearly two years from the beginning of infertility treatment,endometrial stromal sarcoma was diagnosed and radical treatment was performed for the young *** the relative relationship between endometrial stromal sarcoma and infertility is worth discussing.

This paper entitled, Theological Moral Appraisal of the Challenges of infertility treatments on Christian Families in Africa seeks to explore the effects of infertility treatments on Christian families in Africa. It also attempts to give appraisal of the activities of birth science and issues surrounding it and proffer some ways forward for its better use to enhance the dignity of humans and safeguard our families. This is because many Christian families in Africa have deviated from the commands of the creator in an attempt to find solution to the problem of infertility that has engulfed many families, with the assistant of the modem reproductive technology. Many Christian families in Africa have broken down, the sacramental nature and the dignity of Christian marriage and family have been relegated to the background; and many legal, moral and social problems from these techniques abound. In this situation, some people are calling on the Church to condemn outfight the use of the modem reproductive technology. But this will not solve the problem of infertility which is staring us calling for solution. Some scholars have pointed out that the advent of reproductive technology has come to stay, and that it has already given smiles to many faces and families. This paper employs descriptive, analytical and social methods. The paper argues that Science should not be devoid of Religion. There must be a link between Science and Religion as the creator intended. This will enable the activities in birth science to be in line with the mind of the creator. When this is done as it should, our families and society are spared and the dignity human person respected. Science and Religion are not at war, instead they are meant to serve humans. They are complementary and should always be in partnership to serve humanity.

The Science Policy Briefing on male reproductive health pubfished by the authoritative European Science Foundation （ESF） in 2010 echoes the views expressed in the famous paper by *** et al, suggesting that mean sperm counts decreased by 50%. The authors are convinced that the male reproductive system in industrialized countries is under attack from envi- ronmental chemicals. This may have farreaching consequences for the reproductive capacity of future generations. Their arguments, however, contain some misconceptions about declining sperm quality and fertifity. Although there is reason for concern about the effect of environmental pollution, the authors＇ pessimism is not justified.

Both fatty acids (FAs) and calcium ions play important roles in contraceptive cyclesvia several systems. Polyunsaturated FAs (PUFAs) act as precursors for prostaglandin production and can alter the expression of numerous crucial catalysts that are involved in prostaglandin and steroid digestion. Lipids are essential components of cell membranes. A diet rich in PUFAs enhances sperm motility and viability. It also improves testis development and spermatogenesis in several domesticated animal species. Increased PUFA content in spermatozoa increases plasma membrane fluidity, which is important for fertilization. However, the major drawback of high dietary PUFA intake is that it increases the levels of reactive oxygen species in the body. An increase in reactive oxygen species levels markedly affects fertility. Calcium is an important component that acts as an intra-cellular secondary messenger and plays an important role in some of the physiological processes that occur in male gametes. Some of these processes include spermatogenesis, sperm motility, capacitation, acrosome response, and fusion of gametes. These processes are associated with calcium influx through ion protein channels. Dietary fat intake is associated with increased intestinal calcium absorption. In this review, we discuss the impact of lipids, particularly PUFAs and monounsaturated FAs, and calcium ions on male reproduction, along with their effects on each other.
