Political Correctness in American English and Its implication in TEFL

Political correctness （PC） is both a cultural existence and a language phenomenon. It is used to describe language policies intending to avoid offense or disadvmatages to specific groups in society reflecting the language norms of the Americans as well as withdrawing from language discrimination. This paper traces briefly the history of political correctness in American English, make analysis of the connotations of politically correct terms in American English, and illustrates the influence PC has on American English. Finally, some implications in political correctness in TEFL （Teaching English as a Foreign Language） were drawn with the intention to enhance learners＇ competency in language as well as intercultural communication.

Multiple Intelligence and its implication in Adult Education

Group company industry platform strategy is a new tool that utilizes platform thinking to realize parenting advantage so as to create an internal integration ecological circle for the group company, improve overall competitiveness and broaden horizon. In the first place, this paper discusses theoretical origin of group company industry platform strategy which originates in research on commercial field platform and then experiences three stages, namely, product platform, industry platform and platform strategy. Secondly, this paper defines the implications of group company industry platform and group company industry platform strategy. Then, oriented by the following questions: how to analyze, how to choose, how to operate and how to evaluate, this paper initiates a Factor-Type-Mechanism-Efficiency Research Framework for group company industry platform strategy. In the end, this paper points out future research direction from three perspectives.

Objective To find out tenascin expression difference between the HaCaT cells and SCLⅠ, SCL Ⅱ cell lines of skin, we detected the tenascin mRNA expression and elucidated its implication. Methods Primary keratinocytes, spontaneously transformed human skin keratinocytes (HaCaT) and tumor cell lines from squamous cell carcinomas (SCL Ⅰ and SCL Ⅱ) were investigated with Northern blot of Tenascin special gene probe. Rusults Northern hybridization revealed two mRNA species of about 7.8 and 6.2 Kb. Primary keratinocyte and HaCaT cells did not express Tn mRNA but both tumor cell lines did, especislly 7.8 Kb band. Conclusions The specific expression of Tn mRNA in malignant keratinocyte were useful in differentiation between benign and malignant tumors of the skin and may become one of the markers of the turmors.

Error analysis is the important theory and approach for exploring the mental process of language learner in SLA. Its major contribution is pointing out that intralingual errors are the main reason of the errors during language learning. Researchers’ exploration and description of the errors will not only promote the bidirectional study of Error Analysis as both theory and approach, but also give the implication to second language learning.
