The microstructural architecture of remodeled bone in the peri-implant region of screw implants plays a vital role in the distribution of strain energy and implant *** present a study in which screw implants made from titanium,polyetheretherketone and biodegradable magnesium-gadolinium alloys were implanted into rat tibia and subjected to a push-out test four,eight and twelve weeks after *** were 4 mm in length and with an M2 *** loading experiment was accompanied by simultaneous three-dimensional imaging using synchrotron-radiation microcomputed tomography at 5μm *** deformation and strains were tracked by applying optical flow-based digital volume correlation to the recorded image *** stabilities measured for screws of biodegradable alloys were comparable to pins whereas non-degradable biomaterials experienced additional mechanical ***-implant bone morphology and strain transfer from the loaded implant site depended heavily on the biomaterial *** implants stimulated rapid callus formation displaying a consistent monomodal strain profile whereas the bone volume fraction in the vicinity of magnesium-gadolinium alloys exhibited a minimum close to the interface of the implant and less ordered strain *** in our data suggest that implant stability benefits from disparate bone morphological properties depending on the biomaterial *** leaves the choice of biomaterial as situational depending on local tissue properties.

Background: Modifying the implant surface by enhancing the wettability(hydrophilicity)improves osseointegration,thus reducing the healing *** this study,the authors aimed to evaluate the stability and survival rates of implants with a hydrophilic surface compared to those with a sandblasted and acid-etched *** of studies reviewed: The included studied(randomized controlled trials RCTs)were identified by searching the PubMed,ScienceDirect,and Cochrane library databases without date of publication *** assessment was performed using the Cochrane Collaboration's *** the primary outcome,confidence intervals were set at 95%;weighted means across the studies were calculated using a fixed-effects model or using risk ratios and their 95% confidence intervals for the secondary ***: The authors included 5 RCTs(246 dental implants)in the systematic review which compared a hydrophilic with conventional sandblast and acid-etched implant *** implant stability(primary outcome)was measured at baseline and 3,6,and 8 weeks,and the implant survival rates were measured as a secondary ***,compared with the control groups,no clinically significant differences in implant stability or survival rates were identified for the hydrophilic surface ***: results didn't show any clinically significant effect of a hydrophilic surface on improving implant stability or survival ***,these findings must be analyzed carefully due to the limitations of this review,such as the small sample size and some differences among the included studies.

The stability Analysis of implants Installed in Osteotomies with Different Types of Controlled Bone Defects

The stability parameters of implants （ITV, ISQ ＆ PTV） according to different sizes of controlled bone defects made in implant osteotomies were analyzed and the correlation among the three kinds of implant stability parameters was tested in this study. 45 tapped screw-type dental implants were inserted in three types of implant osteotomies made in 8 fresh-frozen pig femoral bones： Typel - without coronal bone defect, Type2 - with 3 mm coronal bone defects, and Type3 - with 6 mm coronal bone defects. The insertion torque values, ISQ ＆ PTV of implants were measured and analyzed statistically. It is concluded that the circumferential coronal bone defects statistically influence the primary stability of implants; ITV, ISQ and PTV are suitable and available to detect the peri-implant coronal bone defects in 3 mm increments, and ITV and PTV are more sensitive to coronal cortical bone loss. There was a strong correlation between ITV and ISQ.

Objective: *** the changes of implant stability after insertion by resonance frequency analysis *** the short-term clinical consequence of early loaded dental implant *** how patients’ individual factors influence the marginal bone resorption and tissue around the implants after insertion Materials and methods: Patients,who required partially edentulous or edentulous rehabilitation,were enrolled in the study from Mar,2011 to Sep,*** stability quotient(ISQ)and marginal bone level were assessed on the insertion day,while the patients’ individual factors included gender,age,smoking,inserted location,type of rehabilitation, diameter and length of implant,insertion torque and bone quality(Lekholm&Zarb classify)were also *** frequency analysis(RFA)measurements were performed at 4 weeks and 6weeks *** were loaded at 8 weeks postoperatively,marginal bone level and ISQ were ***-implant marginal bone level,modified plaque index(mPI),modified sulcus bleeding index (mSBI)and probing depth(PD)were recorded at 3- and 6-month follow-up visits at all *** were reported using descriptive *** stepwise regression analysis was used to evaluate the marginal bone resorption and soft tissue condition.
