The application of ionic liquids in perovskite has attracted wide-spread attention for its astounding performance improvement of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,the detailed mechanisms behind the improvement remain ***,a series of imidazolium-based ionic liquids(IILs)with different cations and anions is systematically investigated to elucidate the passivation mechanism of IILs on inorganic *** is found that IILs display the following advantages:(1)They form ionic bonds with Cs^(+)and Pb^(2+)cations on the surface and at the grain boundaries of perovskite films,which could effectively heal/reduce the Cs^(+)/I−vacancies and Pb-related defects;(2)They serve as a bridge between the perovskite and the hole-transport-layer for effective charge extraction and transfer;and(3)They increase the hydrophobicity of the perovskite surface to further improve the stability of the CsPbI_(2)Br *** combination of the above effects results in suppressed non-radiative recombination loss in CsPbI_(2)Br PSCs and an impressive power conversion efficiency of 17.02%.Additionally,the CsPbI_(2)Br PSCs with IILs surface modification exhibited improved ambient and light illumination *** results provide guidance for an indepth understanding of the passivation mechanism of IILs in inorganic perovskites.

A trefoil-like two-dimensional(2D)C_(3v) symmetric organic[12]-imidazolium cation H_(12)-2(PF_(6))_(12) featuring three[4]-imidazolium macrocycles was synthesized in three *** reaction of a dodecakis H_(12)-1(PF_(6))_(12) imidazolium salt with Ag_(2)O resulted in the formation of a hexanuclear AgI dodecacarbene assembly[Ag_(6)(1)](PF_(6))_(6).Upon UV irradiation,the photodimerization of the cinnamic ester pendants of[Ag_(6)(1)](PF_(6))_(6) led to the generation of a trefoil-like complex[Ag_(6)(2)](PF_(6))_(6) containing three closed *** of metal ions allowed for the synthesis of the target *** complexes were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy(^(1)H,^(13)C{^(1)H}and 2D NMR)and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(HR-ESI-MS).

Preparation of Anion Exchange Membrane Based on imidazolium Functionalized Poly（arylene ether ketone）

The authors presented a novel synthetic route for the imidazolium functionalized poly（arylene ether ke- tone）s, derived from an engineering plastics polymer, a poly（arylene ether ketone） with 3,3＇,5,5＇- tetramethyl-4,4＇-dihydroxybiphenyl moiety（PAEK-TM）. The preparation of anion exchange membranes comprised converting benzylic methyl groups to bromomethyl groups by a radical reaction, followed by the functionalization of bromomethylated PAEK with alkyl imidazoles, i.e., methyl, butyl or vinyl imidazole. The structure of imidazolium functionalized PAEK was proved by 1H NMR spectra. A class of flexible and tough membranes was then achieved by subsequent film-forming and anion exchange processes. The water uptake and hydroxide conductivities of mem- branes are comparable or superior to those of quaternary ammonium（QA） anion exchange membranes. This work demonstrated a new route for non-QA anion exchange membrane design, avoiding the chloromethylation reagent and oreciselv controlling the degree and location of imidazolium grouos.

Porous nitrogen/halogen dual-doped nanocarbons derived from imidazolium functionalized cationic metal-organic frameworks for highly efficient oxygen reduction reaction

Heteroatom-doped carbon materials as alternative catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)have drawn increasing attention due to their tunable chemical and electronic structures for achieving high activity and stability. However, there still remains a great challenge to fabricate porous heteroatoms dual-doped carbons with uniformly doping in a facile and controllable way. Herein,imidazole/imidazolium-functionalized metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) are employed as precursors and templates to achieve porous nitrogen and halogen dual-doped nanocarbons. Among these carbon materials, the as-prepared nitrogen/bromine dual-doped catalyst BrNC-800 exhibits the best ORR performance with a positive half-wave potential at 0.80 V(vs. RHE) in 0.1 mol L-1 KOH, which is comparable to the benchmark commercial 20 wt% Pt/C catalyst. BrNC-800 shows excellent long term stability and methanol *** work provides a facile approach to fabricate highly efficient heteroatoms dual-doped carbon catalysts for energy conversion.

The most widely studiedof imidazoliumcyclophanebecause of the positive charge on the imidazolium,which makes the C-H activity on the imidazole ring can generate hydrogen bonds with the guest molecule or be removed in an alkaline environment to form *** on the good recognition performance of imidazole ring compound and the 3D structure of *** introduction of carborane into the imidazolium ring can increase the stereo configuration and cavity size,which will be better for the detection of organic pollutants .Basd on this idea,1,2-diaryl-o-borane was used as the basic framework,and hydroquinone ethoxylate and pyridyl group was used as bridging group to [1+1]quatemized high-efficiency oriented ring *** experiment shows that the receptor Ac an selectively recognize p-aminophenol neutral molecules by forming intermolecular hyadrogen bonding and π-π stacking.

New Host Molecules with imidazoliums as Functional Arms:Syntheses and Anion Recognition

The bridged tri imidazoliums 3·3X --5·3X - (X -=PF - 6, Br -, I -) and bis imidazoliums 6·2PF - 6 were synthesized by N quaternization of imidazole derivative 1 in acetonitrile under reflux. UV spectroscopic titration experiments showed that the halide salts and hexafluorophosphate salts of these imidazoliums exhibited good recognition toward anions in water and in acetonitrile, respectively.
