The interaction of bubbles is the key to understand gas–liquid bubbling flow. Two-dimensional axis-symmetry computational fluid dynamics simulations on the interactive bubbles were performed with VOF method,which was validated by experimental work. It is testified that several different bubble interactive behaviors could be acquired under different conditions. Firstly, for large bubbles(d: 4, 6, 8, 10 mm), the trailing bubble rising velocity and aspect ratio have negative correlations with liquid viscosity and surface tension. The influences of viscosity and surface tension on leading bubble are negligible. Secondly, for smaller bubbles(d: 1, 2 mm), the results are complicated. The two bubbles tend to move together due to the attractive force by the wake and the potential repulsive force. Especially for high viscous or high surface tension liquid, the bubble pairs undergo several times acceleration and deceleration. In addition, bubble deformation plays an important role during bubble interaction which cannot be neglected.

Potassium phosphate buffer solution has been widely used in the biological experiments, which represents an important process of the interaction between ions and biomolecules, yet the influences of potassium phosphate on biomolecules such as the cell membrane are still poorly understood at the molecular level. In this work, we have applied sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy and carried out a detailed study on the interaction between potassium phosphate buffer solution (PBS) and negative 1,2-dimyristoyl-d54-sn-glycero-3-[phospho-rac-(1-glycerol)] (d54-DMPG) lipid bilayer in real time. The PBS-induced dynamic change in the molecular structure of d54-DMPG lipid bilayer was monitored using the spectral features of CD2, CD3, lipid head phosphate, and carbonyl groups for the first time. It is found that K+ can bind to the cell membrane and cause the signal change of CD2, CD3, lipid head phosphate, and carbonyl groups quickly. Potassium PBS interacts with lipid bilayers most likely by formation of toroidal pores inside the bilayer matrix. This result can provide a molecular basis for the interpretation of the effect of PBS on the ion-assisted transport of protein across the membrane.

The interaction between N, N′-bis（dimethyldodecyl）-1,6-hexanediammoniumdibromide （G12-6-12） and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide （CTAB） in D20 aqueous medium has been investigated by NMR at 298 K. The G12-6-12 and CTAB are about 0.773 and measured critical micelle concentration （cmc） of 0.668 mmol/L, respectively. The cmc^＊（cmc of mixture） values are less than CMC^＊（cmc of ideally mixed solution） in the mixed system, and the interaction parameter βM〈0 at different molar fractions α of G12-6-12 in the mixed systems, but just when α≤0.3, cmc^＊ values are much smaller than CMC^＊, and βM satisfies the relation of ｜βM｜〉｜ln（cmc1/cmc2）｜（cmcl： cmc of pure G12-6-12 and cmc2： cmc Of pure CTAB）. The results indicate that there exists synergism between G12-6-12 and CTAB, and they can form mixed micelles, which is further proven by 2D NOESY and self-diffusion coefficient D experiments. There are intermolecular cross peaks between G12-6-12 and CTAB in 2D NOESY, and the radius of micelles in mixed solution is bigger than that in G12-6-12 pure solution in D experiments, indicating there are mixed micelles. However, when α〉0.3, we find that cmc^＊≈CMC^＊, βM≈0, obviously, the two surfactants are almost ideal mixing fitting the pseudo-phase separation model and regular solution theory.

Magnetic interaction between magnetic particles is of great significance in the fields of magnetic separation and functional materials.A good understanding of interaction mechanism of magnetic particles would further boost its promising industrial *** hereby present our work which visualizes the movement behavior of magnetic spheres in magnetic fields employing high-speed imaging and simulates the dynamic behavior of spheres using an Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE)based on finite element *** this paper,we investigated the stress tensor,magnetic force,and dynamic behavior of magnetic spheres in magnetic fields,especially magnetic energy density in different *** show that there are four relatively independent regions of magnetic energy density distribution in external spatial domains of a single sphere *** force will generate when the energy density in the spatial region between two spheres is relatively high,while a repulsive force will generate when the energy density in the spatial region between two spheres is relatively *** magnetic sphere spontaneously moves towards the region with high energy density and stays away from the region with low energy *** total magnetic energy in magnetic spheres’domains(V_(1))and external spatial domains(V_(2))increases,but the magnetic energy in the external spatial domain decreases over time during the aggregation *** magnetic spheres ultimately arrange in chain-like structures oriented along magnetic field *** hereby proposed a novel and efficient approach to predict the movement trends and final state of magnetic particle swarm from the view of energy density.

As multiple{11■2}twin variants are often formed during deformation in hexagonal close-packed(hcp)titanium,the twin-twin interaction structure has a profound influence on mechanical *** this paper,the twin-twin interaction structures of the{11■2}contraction twin in cold-rolled commercial purity titanium were studied by using electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Formation of the{11■2}twin variants was found to deviate the rank of Schmid factor,and the non-Schmid behavior was explained by the high-angle grain boundary nucleation *** the observed twin-twin pairs manifested a quilted-looking structure,which consists of the incoming twins being arrested by the obstacle ***,the quilted-looking{11■2}twin-twin boundary was revealed by TEM and high resolution TEM ***-twinning,lattice rotation and curved twin boundary were observed in the obstacle twin due to the twin-twin reaction with the impinging twin.A twin-twin interaction mechanism for the{11■2}twin variants was proposed in terms of the dislocation dissociation,which will enrich the understanding for the propagation of twins and twinning-induced hardening in hcp metals and alloys.

In view of the complex structure and environment,the dynamic analysis on deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)is a challenge in the biophysics *** the local interaction with ribonucleic acid(RNA)-polymerase as well as the dissipative effect of cellular fluid,a coupling sine-Gordon-type dynamic model is used to describe the rotational motions of the bases in ***,the approximate symmetric form is ***,the wave form and the wave velocity of the kink solution to the proposed dynamic model are investigated by a Runge-Kutta structure-preserving scheme based on the generalized multi-symplectic *** numerical results indicate that,the strengthening of the local interaction between DNA and RNA-polymerase described by the coupling potential makes the form of the kink solution steep,while the appearance of the friction between DNA and cellular fluid makes the form of the kink solution *** addition,the appearance of the friction decreases the velocities of both the symplectic configuration and the anti-symplectic configuration with different *** above findings are beneficial to comprehend the DNA transcription mechanism.
