In an era characterized by digital pervasiveness and rapidly expanding datasets,ensuring the integrity and reliability of information is paramount.As cyber threats evolve in complexity,traditional cryptographic methods face increasingly sophisticated challenges.This article initiates an exploration into these challenges,focusing on key exchanges(encompassing their variety and subtleties),scalability,and the time metrics associated with various cryptographic processes.We propose a novel cryptographic approach underpinned by theoretical frameworks and practical engineering.Central to this approach is a thorough analysis of the interplay between Confidentiality and integrity,foundational pillars of information security.Our method employs a phased strategy,beginning with a detailed examination of traditional cryptographic processes,including Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman(ECDH)key exchanges.We also delve into encrypt/decrypt paradigms,signature generation modes,and the hashes used for Message Authentication Codes(MACs).Each process is rigorously evaluated for performance and reliability.To gain a comprehensive understanding,a meticulously designed simulation was conducted,revealing the strengths and potential improvement areas of various techniques.Notably,our cryptographic protocol achieved a confidentiality metric of 9.13 in comprehensive simulation runs,marking a significant advancement over existing methods.Furthermore,with integrity metrics at 9.35,the protocol’s resilience is further affirmed.These metrics,derived from stringent testing,underscore the protocol’s efficacy in enhancing data security.

A Low Earth Orbit(LEO)constellation augmenting satellite navigation is important in the future development of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS).GNSS augmented by LEO constellations can improve not only the accuracy of Positioning,Navigation,and Timing(PNT),but also the consistency and reliability of secure PNT system.This paper mainly analyzes the diverse demands of different PNT users for LEO augmented GNSS,including the precision demand in real-time,the availability demand in special areas,the navigation signal enhancement demand in complex electromagnetic environments,and the integrity demand with high security.Correspondingly,the possible contributions of LEO constellations to PNT performance are analyzed from multiple aspects.A particular attention is paid to the special PNT user requirements that cannot be fulfilled with existing GNSS,such as the PNT service demand in the polar regions and the onboard GNSS orbit determination demand of some LEO satellites.The key technologies to be considered in the constellation design,function realization,and payload development of the LEO-augmented navigation system are summarized.

Impact of receiver inter-frequency bias residual uncertainty on dual-frequency GBAS integrity

Dual-Frequency Ground-Based Augmentation Systems(GBAS)can be affected by receiver Inter-Frequency Bias(IFB)when Ionosphere-Free(Ifree)smoothing is applied.In the framework of the proposed GBAS Approach Service Type F(GAST-F),the IFB in the Ifree smoothed pseudorange can be corrected.However,IFB residual uncertainty still exists,which may threaten the integrity of the system.This paper presents an improved algorithm for the airborne protection level considering the residual uncertainty of IFBs to protect the integrity of dual-frequency GBAS.The IFB residual uncertainty multiplied by a frequency factor is included in the Ifree protection level together with the uncertainty of other error sources.To verify the proposed protection level algorithm,we calculate the IFB residual uncertainties of ground reference receivers and user receiver based on BDS B1I and B3I dual-frequency observation data and carry out a test at the Dongying Airport GBAS station.The results show that the proposed Ifree protection level with IFB residual uncertainty is 1.48 times the current protection level on average.The probability of Misleading Information(MI)during the test is reduced from 3.2×10^(-4)to the required value.It is proven that the proposed protection level can significantly reduce the integrity risk brought by IFB residual uncertainty and protect the integrity of dual-frequency GBAS.

The fungal cell wall is the front-line in host-pathogen interactions,which is an essential dynamic structure maintaining cellular integrity and protecting the fungal cell from external aggressors,such as environmental stress,or during host infection(Geoghegan et al.,2017;Gow et al.,2017).Its synthesizing and remodeling/reinforcement are controlled by the cell wall integrity(CWl)pathway(Riquelme et al.,2018).The CWI pathway is a conserved signalling transduction cascade and is well characterized in the model yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.In phytopathogenic fungi,it exhibits more speciesspecific functions to suit their distinct invasion strategies.For many appressorium-forming plant pathogens such as the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae and Colletotrichum gloeosporioide,CWl pathway regulates the development and functioning of appressorium,which is required for pathogenicity(Jeon et al.,2008;Yin et al.,2016,2020;Fang et al.,2018).

Generally,the so-called expansion agent is very effective in eliminating all the micro-annuli that exist between the casing and the cement sheath or between the cement sheath and the formation.However,this approach can detrimentally affect the sealing ability of cement sheath if the expansion agent is used in an unreasonable way.For these reasons,in the present work,numerical simulations have been conducted to analyze the effect of elasticity modulus of cement sheath,the elasticity modulus of formation,the expansion rate of cement,the geo-stress on the micro-annulus caused by cement expansion,and the cement sheath expansion on the integrity of cement sheath and formation.The micro-annulus between the casing and the cement sheath has been found to decrease according to the ratio between the elasticity modulus of formation and the elasticity modulus of cement sheath.A positive correlation has been observed between the micro-annulus and the cement expansion ratio.The microannulus decreases as the geo-stress increases,but the effect of the geo-stress on the micro-annulus is much smaller.In conclusion,the expansion agent is suitable for the formation in which the elasticity modulus is higher than the cement sheath.

Scientifc integrity has been regarded as a priority in scientifc development in China[1].The Chinese governmental agencies have paid unprecedented attentions on promoting scientifc integrity in recent years.In May 2018,the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council issued guidelines on promoting scientifc integrity[2].Ever-harsher punishments for researchers who committing scientifc misconduct were introduced by the Chinese government[3].In November,2018,43 penalties for major academic misconduct were endorsed by 41 national government agencies.Meanwhile,the Ministry of Science and Technology of China(MOST)were established a notifcation system for reporting cases involving in scientifc misconduct and the related penalties publicly.
