Flying an aircraft in low visibility is still a challenging task for the *** requires precise and accurate situational awareness(SA)in real-time.A Head-up Display(HUD)is used to project collimated internal and externalﬂight information on a transparent screen in the pilot’s forwardﬁeld of view,which eliminates the change of eye position between Head-Down-Display(HDD)instru-ments and outer view through the *** of HUD increases the SA and reduces the workload for the *** to provide a betterﬂying capability for the pilot,projecting extensive information on HUD causes human factor issues that reduce pilot performance and lead to accidents in low visibility *** literature shows that human error is the leading cause of more than 70%of aviation *** this study,the ability of the pilot able to read background and symbology information of HUD at a different level of back-ground seen complexity,such as symbology brightness,transition time,amount of Symbology,size etc.,in low visibility conditions is *** result shows that increased complexity on the HUD causes more detection errors.

In recent years,marine pilotage accidents occurring on a worldwide basis as a result of human error have not been ceased to transpire,despite advances in technology and a significant set of international conventions,regulations,and recommendations to reduce *** paper aims to investigate the effect of human factors on the safety of maritime pilotage *** human factors that affect the operators who are performing ships’berthing operations have also been examined in *** this study,in order to determine the causes of human-related errors occurred in maritime pilotage accidents,a comprehensive literature review is carried out,and a considerable number of real past case examples and an analysis of the maritime accident investigation reports regarding pilotage operations events that occurred between 1995 and 2015 have been *** validate the identified humanrelated risk factors(HCFs)and explore other contributory factors,survey questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with domain experts have been conducted.A structural hierarchy diagram for the identified risk factors(HCFs)has been developed and validated through experienced experts belonging to the maritime sector.A questionnaire for pair-wise comparison is carried out and analysed using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)approach to evaluate the weight and rank the importance of the identified human causal *** findings of this study will benefit the maritime industry,by identifying a new database on causal factors that are contributing to the occurrence of maritime pilotage *** database can be used as a stand-alone reference or help implement effective risk reduction strategies to reduce the human error,that might occur during pilotage operations.

Introduction： Thermal power plants are very popular in China. However, there has not been proportional research attention paid to production risk in these plants and human impact on production due to their importance in electricity generation. This study investigates production risks caused by human factors in thermal power plants and management methods to address identified human factors. Case description： Eighteen semi-structured interviews with front-line, middle and senior managers from four thermal power plants in China were carried out in this cross-sectional inductive study. Fault tree analysis and causal network analysis are used. Discussion and evaluation： We identify a range of production risks and human factors potentially influencing production in both negative and positive ways. We also recognize the most effective and practical relevant management methods to deal with identified human factors. Conclusion： By investigating production risk caused by human factors through the whole production process, this study emphasizes working attitude, safety consciousness, creativity and awareness of environmental protection as essential human factors potentially influencing production risks in thermal power plants. Through our analysis, by linking human factors to different types of production risk and supplying corresponding management methods to address these human factors, we offer practical human resource management approaches in the production management of thermal power plants.

Recent years production accidents keep appearing in coal-mines of our country. The author analyzes different factors that may cause accident and comes to the conclusion that most of the accidents are related to human factors. Among Coal-mine equipments the safety and rescue devices have been responsible for protecting coal-miners against injuries and reducing economic loss of coal-mine corporation. But designers usually emphasis the technical performances and, in some degree, ignore the human factors in design of those devices. This situation has influenced use-efficiency and level of comfort of the devices when we use them. To improve the design of these devices, the designer should pay particular attention to human factors and interface design besides taking advanced technology.

The ergonomic digital design and evaluation of man-machine system is the main application fields of virtual human technology. Because of the complexity of physical person and uncertainty of fatigue generation mechanism, it is difficult to express a nd evaluate the Virtual human's fatigue state. This paper summarizes the characteristics of virtual human's fatigue evaluation, such as undeterminable, invisible, the constraint conditions can been used. Viewed from the strengths and weaknesses of preexisting models, metabolic energy expenditure model, dynamic muscle fatigue model and a model to assess fatigue at joint-level using the half-joint concept, this paper puts forward the future development trend that the combination of subjective and objective,diversificationoftheanalyzablemotion,real-timeandvisualexpression.

Review of Soil Nutrients of Forest Nature Reserve

Based on a large number of relevant literatures, the effects of environmental factors and human factors on forest soil nutrients in nature reserve were summarized, as well as the soil quality assessment and correlation of soil. nutrients, to provide references for a deep research on forest nature reserve soil and its protection. The distribution of forest soil nutrients has significant spatial heterogeneity, and its final distribution pattern is the result of joint action of environmental factors, including topography, vegetation, soil type, seasonal change as well as soil microorganism, and human factors. In natural ecosystem, environmental factors are the main factors that determine the differences of soil nutrients. Effective human management can promote the accumulation of forest soil nutrients, but improper interference will cause a significant loss of soil nutrients. Accurate soil quality evaluation can objectively clarify the impact of different soil management practices on soil, contributing to the timely adjustment of management measures. The establishment of long-term soil monitoring stations in forest nature reserves is a good way to master the influencing factors and the mechanism of forest soil nutrients, and can ultimately provide theoretical guidance for a sustainable and healthy operation of forest nature reserve.

USA as an ICT （Information and Communication Technology） innovative leader, Europe with its knowledge offensive and Asia as the fastest growing economies share the common fate： ICT projects do under perform. Numerous surveys point at human factor as a source of this malheur. The question emerge to what extent project manager is responsible for improvements there, and which particular skills are demanded to turn the ICT projects course towards more predictable, more efficient and better budget able endeavours. Authors examined and compared the scientific and practitioners views. Twenty-nine journal and conference papers and 46 monographs and standards dedicated to project manager skills have been scrutinized. Further 324 jobs advertisements for the ICT project managers in USA, Switzerland, Poland and Thailand underwent an analysis related to the demanded soft skills of the project manager. The L-Timer~ taxonomy of human factor related processes in project management is applied as comparison vehicle. Methodology extracted main （global） terms and detailed aspects, both weighted appropriately. The practitioners on all continents expect primarily communication skills followed by the team management abilities. human resource is partially treated, while conflict management is underrepresented. The science seems to be focused on leadership followed by the communication skills, neglecting self management skills of project managers. The last are surprisingly well represented in the US advertisement. The USA job advertisements are the most comprehensive and elaborated one--and, what might be explained by high impact of American science on job definition--close to the scientific details of skill description, self management excluded. In Poland, team management appears to be a problem, while Thailand＇s companies seek leaders first. The best balanced approach might be found in Swiss job advertisements. Building and infrastructure construction projects can be viewed as a complex system consisting of many *** the last two decades,considerable researches that use system dynamics(SD)as an analytical and modeling approach exist to address construction project management ***,only few critical reviews have been conducted to provide an in-depth understanding of SD application in construction project ***,many studies have failed to apply SD ***,the present study aims to gain an understanding of the current state of play and future directions in applying SD method in construction project management research,by undertaking a comprehensive review of 105 relevant articles published from 1994 to *** articles are analyzed in terms of annual publication rate,key papers and their contribution,critical issues in SD application,and research topics.A significant increase in the number of publications in the last five years has been *** applying SD method to model construction system,the following aspects must be carefully considered:Model boundary,model development,model test,and model *** addition,SD has been applied in a wide range of research topics,including(1)sustainable construction;(2)design error,rework,and change management;(3)risk management;(4)resource management;(5)decision making;(6)hybrid modeling;(7)safety management;(8)PPP project;and(9)organization *** on the review findings,this study discusses three future research directions,namely,integration of SD with other methods,uncertainty analysis,and human factor *** study can help researchers gain an in-depth understanding of the critical issues in the application of SD in construction management and the state-of-the-art of SD research.
