This article discusses the role of the Church in promoting human rights in Nigeria. This is anchored on the fact that the Church must live according to what it proclaims to the world especially against an avalanche of serious abuse of human rights in Nigeria. Cases abound how innocent citizens die in the hands of terrorist groups or communal clashes. This implies that it must live by the standards of the Gospel of Christ, striving vigorously to make the Christian values of love, honesty, truth, forgiveness, justice, self-sacrifice, solidarity and compassion guide the dealings with members with others in their private and public lives. It must be a Church that upholds the dignity and rights of human person and denounces what is essentially inhuman. Using descriptive and analytical methods, the paper underscores that the Church especially the canonists must courageously fight against forces of evil and iniquity engaging all stakeholders to a continuous dialogue that enhances mutual understanding and cooperation. In this way, all stakeholders will respect and uphold the sanctify of human rights in Nigeria and beyond.

The function of the courts in the Iranian post-Islamic revolution constitutional law may be analyzed by reference to a number of different considerations of procedural reforms:the abolition of pre-revolution courts;the establishment of new courts such as the clerical and the revolutionary one;the matter of radical changes due to procedural criminal law aiming to"Islamicize"the judicial system;and the classes of situations in which court's jurisdiction may be *** the other hand,the introduction of Islamic decisive factors as the basis for judgments resulting in the obvious challenges to the international norms,the nature characteristics and effects of the remedies and sanctions they may award,and many other matters can be listed in the substantive evolutions.A comprehensive analysis would be unbearably wordy and ***,a brief preliminary survey may help to provide a clearer image of the judiciary in *** article along with a constitutional overview of the judicial system in Iran and its preparedness for protection of human rights,attempts to illustrate,albeit briefly,the important aspects of the International human rights under the criminal codes of the post-Islamic revolution in Iran.

To have a clean, safe, and functional environment is not only essential for the purpose of preservation, but also imperative for safeguarding the most fundamental of human rights. Resolution 45/94 of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly also stresses and acknowledges that: “all individuals are entitled to live in an environment adequate for their health and wellbeing” (United Nations Digital Library System, 1991). Environmental and climate justice, which: “emerged in the context of the local environmental struggles of directly oppressed groups”, is a global movement dedicated to ensuring equal protection of people’s human rights (i.e., water, health, life, etc.) in the face of the climate crisis. Moreover, health, environment and human rights are part of the 2030 agenda (in particular, SDG 1, SDG 5, SDG 6, SDG 7, SDG 13, SDG 16, SDG 17). Individually, both environmental and climate justice are rooted in an intersectional outlook, by which they highlight the common threads between communities and the people’s inclusion, irrespective of race, class, or gender, in the pursuit of justice. On the other hand, they recognise and acknowledge the role and consequences of climate change in economic, social, and political dimensions;thus, drawing emphasis on the rights of people under the emerging inequities. In the case of Palestine, the Palestinian community is increasingly becoming vulnerable to these effects and the resulting inequalities of climate change. This vulnerability stems from: 1) The right to life;clean WASH;equitable work opportunities;access to resources;and free movement;are all examples of human rights that the Israeli colonial regime infringes upon;2) Infrastructure is essential for climate adaptation: 61% of the West Bank is ultimately barred from building infrastructure (B’Tselem, 2019) and Gaza Strip has major gaps in infrastructure due to intentional destruction by Israel;3) Palestinian deprivation of the sovereign right to natural resources by Isra

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and associated dementia patient numbers continue to increase globally with associated economic costs to healthcare systems. Of note is the increase in numbers in lower and middle-income countries (LMICs) including Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries, which already face challenges with their health budgets from communicable and non-communicable diseases. Ghana, an SSA country, faces the problem of healthcare budgetary difficulties and the additional impact of AD as a consequence of increasing population strata of old aged persons (OAPs) due to the demographic transition effect. This article uses examples of known patients’ illness courses to give a perspective on the lived experience of patients with dementia (PWD) in Ghana, living amongst a populace with a culture of stigmatization of PWD, and a relatively fragile public mental health system (PMHS) for those with mental illness, including AD. The lived experience of AD patients is characterised by stigmatisation, discrimination, non-inclusiveness, diminished dignity and human rights abuses in the face of their mental disability, and eventually death. This article is an advocacy article giving voice to the voiceless and all persons suffering from AD and other dementias in Ghana, whilst pleading for a call to action from healthcare professionals and responsible state agencies.

Democratic society requires that press freedom is reflected through the preservation of human rights. The aim of this study was to analyse quantitatively the media discourse in the environment of Galicia to see how they deal with different aspects related to the subject. The papers used for the study were for the months from January to September Faro fie Vigo and La Voz de Galicia, in order to establish whether there is a constant in the treatment is done, especially in regard to topics, dedicated spaces, sources and so on.

In recent years,tens of product teams,research institutes,academic conferences,and college courses-the list goes on-have cropped up under the banner of tech ethics to grapple with the social and political impact of *** some,an orientation around ethics indicates a moment of humility in an industry characterized by *** even major tech corporations are seeking expertise outside of the technical *** speaking tech ethics,we speak ethics to *** others,the outlook is less *** observers take tech ethics to just be the latest tool in the same-old corporate toolshed-new rhetoric in service of old *** ethics is a wolf in sheep’s *** is power speaking *** debate about tech ethics concerns more than descriptive analyses of current efforts as *** capacities of ethical tech as a political movement are also up for *** is the political payoff of anyone speaking ethics at all?In this article,the author approaches the question by drawing on a critical history of another moral-turned-political movement.A critical inquiry into the ascendency of human rights,the author suggests,elucidates the multiple functions of moral reasoning and rhetoric in political movements and lends insight into how they may ultimately bear on political *** 20th century history of human rights gives reason to be suspicious of moral language that is evasive of engaging political and ideological ***,it also points to the possibility that long-standing moral ideals may be renewed and refashioned into new *** ethics may yet play such a role:placing explicitly moral demands on those typically taken to be exempt from moral *** demand reaches beyond what the specialized moniker of“tech ethics”suggests.

Relevance of the problem under research is due to the fragmentary character of the regulatory framework for concluding a surrogacy agreement both in Ukraine and foreign countries,which does not solve the full range of problems that arise in law enforcement ***,there is no clear regulation for the notarization of the surrogacy *** study aims to analyze the existing legal regulation of theoretical and practical aspects of the conclusion of a surrogacy agreement and draw certain conclusions and scientific provisions on the notarization of the surrogacy *** leading research methods used for a comprehensive examination of surrogacy and surrogacy agreement were the following:normative semantic method,general logical methods of cognition,comparative and formal legal methods,generalization,historical method,systemic method,and structural and functional *** research results proved the need for the legislative regulation of *** a notarial form of the surrogacy agreement is implemented,it can significantly reduce the criminal component in this service and the risk of adverse consequences for the *** must be a separate law on the regulation of surrogacy adopted in Ukraine,which also concerns all other types of assisted reproductive technologies.
