Neuropsychiatric Symptoms and Cognitive Impairment in Chinese Patients with Parkinson's Disease in Han and hui Ethnicity

Nenropsychiatric symptoms are common in patients with Parkinson's disease(PD)and they are likely to outweigh the motor symptoms and become a major factor affecting the quality of life of PD patients.However,the studies focusing on the non-motor symptoms in Chinese PD patients from different ethnicity are scarce.The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate neuropsychiatric symptoms and cognitive impairment in Chinese PD patients from Han and hui populations from central China.Seventy-two Han Chinese PD patients(Han PD group)and 71 age-and sex-matched hui Chinese PD patients(hui PD group)were enrolled from Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University between Sept.2011 and Aug.2014 in the study.The neuropsychiatric symptoms and cognitive impairment were assessed using Neuropsychiatric Inventory(NPI)and Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE).We found that the proportion of depression,anxiety,apathy,irritability,euphoria and night time behavior disturbances were higher in the Han PD group than in the hui PD group(Phui PD group(P>0.05).The total mean scores of the MMSE from patients in the Han PD group were similar to those in the hui PD group(P>0.05).However,the subscale scores of recall domain and language domain in the Han PD group were significantly different from those in the hui PD group(P0.05).This study first showed the recall domain and language domain were different between the Han PD patients and the hui PD patients.Depression,anxiety,apathy,irritability,euphoria and night time behavior disturbances were less presented in the hui PD patients.All these differences may be related to the different ethnicity,which would be helpful for clinical physicians to recognize the different non-motor symptom

Prognostic analysis and comparison of colon cancer in Han and hui patients

AIM:To investigate the relevant prognostic factors and their differences between colorectal cancer(CRC)patients of Chinese Han and hui ethnicities in the Beijing region.METHODS:A retrospective analysis of 880 patients diagnosed with CRC at Xuanwu Hospital,Capital Medical University between September 2001 and September2011 was performed.Among the 880 patients,398 and482 were hui and Han,respectively.Characteristics including sex,age,diet,tumor size,primary tumor site,Dukes’stage and degree of differentiation were analyzed for their influence on prognosis.Data on dietary structures were recorded through a questionnaire survey conducted during the patient’s first visit,return visit or follow-up checkups.RESULTS:Among patients with colon cancer,the5-year survival rate for patients of hui ethnicity was lower than that for Han patients(P=0.025).Six risk factors(age of onset,dietary structure,tumor size,Dukes’stage,location of cancer and degree of differentiation)in both Han and hui patients were identified as prognostic factors(Phui patients with CRC showed that dietary structure was a statistically significant factor,and diet varied significantly between the two ethnic groups.CONCLUSION:Dietary structure has a significant influence on colon cancer prognosis among Han and hui patients with colon cancer in Beijing,which may cause a difference in their survival rates.

The purpose of this paper is to explore three main rhetorical devices employed by the The Sutra of hui Neng in terms of metaphor,pun,and parody.The Sutra of hui Neng records the zen thoughts rather than the language.In the process of explaining the sutra,hui Neng applied rhetorical devices in a flexible way to make the disciples fully comprehend the zen thoughts,so that Buddhist sutra can be vividly and fully expressed through language.

Poverty Alleviation in Xundian hui and Yi Autonomous County by Promoting Labor Migration

The transfer of rural population to urban areas is the inevitable result of China s economic development,and going out to work is an important poverty alleviation model for poor areas to adapt to this historical trend.Studying its typical practices not only has practical guidance and reference for targeted poverty alleviation and poverty alleviation work,but also has important implications for how to rationally allocate regional population,resources,environment and economy.This paper investigates and explores the labor migration-promoting poverty alleviation model in Xundian hui and Yi Autonomous County in the Wumeng mountainous area,a national concentrated and contiguous poverty-stricken area.On the basis of sorting out the leadership system,training methods,assistance ideas,working mechanism and poverty alleviation achievements,the income of 50 poverty-free households in 2018 was investigated and analyzed specifically.The results show that the poverty alleviation in Xundian County has achieved significant achievements both in macro and individual farmers,and it has played a decisive role in getting rid of poverty for households with migrant workers.In addition,the successful experience of Xundian County to increase income and get rid of poverty is sorted out,and the problems existing in this model are analyzed.It is believed that attention should be paid to the impact of labor migration on rural land use and citizenization of migrant workers.

Tone Features in Xiuning hui Chinese Dialect

This paper describes tonal contrasts in Xiuning hui Chinese dialect in terms of a detailed acoustic phonetic analysis of F0 and duration data from 10 native speakers. There are 2 level tones,2 rising tones,1 falling tone and 1 concave tone in Xiuning. The results show that pitch levels and pitch contours both contribute to the characterization of tones. And a detailed examination of tonal contours reveals that speakers may employ different articulatory strategies in tonal production. Phonological consequences are also discussed on the basis of the phonetic data.

Changes in Utilization of Contracted Land in Xundian County of Yunnan Province in the Background of Poverty Alleviation

The gradual migration of rural population to cities is an inevitable result of the sustainable development of China’s society and economy.Going out to work is not only a personal behavior of farmers in line with this historical trend,and in the present moment,it is also an important measure to win the battle against poverty.Xundian Yi and hui Autonomous County is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province.It is one of the key counties in China’s poverty alleviation and development work.Through the implementation of special measures to increase labor income,a total of 125611 rural laborers were employed from 2014 to 2018,and as a result,a large number of farmers have been lifted out of poverty.However,under this model,the transfer of a large number of rural laborers also has an impact on the utilization of contracted land of migrant households,mainly demonstrated by land abandonment,decline in land use efficiency and decline in land productivity,which are not conducive to the sustainable use and protection of land resources.To this end,based on field research,this article analyzes the changes in the utilization of land of migrant households under the poverty alleviation model of working outside,as well as their impact.In addition,the questionnaire survey of the registered poverty-stricken households show that the area and productivity of land owned by households with migrant workers are on a downward trend compared to those before and those of households without migrant workers.Land transfer is a feasible means to solve this problem and to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and sustainable use of land resources.It is suggested that great attention should be paid to the contract and management issue of land left by migrant households,establishment of efficient guarantee mechanism,improvement of land utilization and promotion of saving and intensive use of land resources to bring the land resources to their proper value.

Changes in the spatial scale of Beijing UHI and urban development

The seasonal and interannual variations of Beijing urban heat island (UHI) are investigated in this paper using the temperature data from 1960 to 2000 at 20 meteorological stations in the Beijing region, and then the relationship between the intensity and spatial scale of UHI and Beijing urbanization indices is analyzed and discussed. Main conclusions are the followings. First, Beijing UHI shows obvious seasonal variations, and it is strongest in winter, next in spring and autumn, and least in summer. The seasonal variation of the UHI mainly occurs in the urban area. The UHI intensity at the center of Beijing is more than 0.8℃ in winter, and only 0.5℃ in summer. Second, the intensity of Beijing hui exhibits a clear interannual warming trend with its mean growth rate (MGR) being 0.3088℃/10 a. The MGR of hui is largest in winter, next in spring and autumn, and least in summer, and the urban temperature increase makes a major contribution to the growth of hui intensity. Third, since the Reform and Opening, the urbanization indices have grown several ten times or even one hundred times, the intensity of hui has increased dramatically, and its spatial scale also expanded distinctively along with the expansion of urban architectural complexes. Fourth, the interannual variation of urbanization indices is very similar with that of hui intensity, and their linear correlation coefficients are significant at a more than 0.001 confidence level.

The Late Cenozoic stratigraphic sequence and its information of tectonic evolution are obtained here through the detailed petrostratigraphic and magnetostratigraphic study and research of stratigraphic contact and sedmentary faces of the Cenozoic strata profile, Hejiakouzi area, Ningxia hui Autonomous Region. The intense Cenozoic tectonic deformation began at 10Ma BP in the Haiyuan-Tongxin Syntaxis, the northeastern margin of Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, and a few deformation events occurred during Late Cenozoic Era.

Poverty Alleviation Model of "Three Stresses and Three Commentaries" to Stimulate Endogenous Motivation in Xundian County

Poverty alleviation has entered a decisive period. If we want to maintain poverty alleviation results,it is unsustainable to rely on solely on external forces but must rely on its endogenous motivation. Xundian County is located in the Wumeng Mountain area in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River which is a concentrated contiguous extreme poverty-stricken area. Although the natural conditions are poor and the foundation is weak,it took the lead in poverty alleviation throughout the province at the end of 2017 with a poverty rate of 0. 35%. Moreover,the poverty alleviation achievements have been stabilized,and the incidence of poverty declined to 0. 25% in 2018. These are inseparable from the unique " three stresses and three commentaries" to stimulate endogenous motivation. This article systematically studies the poverty alleviation model of " three stresses and three commentaries" to stimulate endogenous motivation in the county. Through in-depth analysis of the specific content,operation process,work achievements and typical cases of the model,the internal mechanism of action is obtained,and its experience worthy of reference are summarized. It is believed that stimulating endogenous motivation will make poverty alleviation more targeted and poverty alleviation achievements more stable,and it is a mature practice worth promoting to the whole country.
