In this work, nano-AlN particle(nano-AlN_p) microskeletons were introduced into an Al–Si–Cu–Ni–Mg alloy by Al–8 AlN master alloy in which the nano-AlN_p reinforcements connect with each other to form three-dimensional networks. It is found that these nano-AlN_p microskeletons mainly distribute in the binary Al–Si eutectic zones resulting in flaky eutectic Si phases being modified to particulates. Meanwhile,the microskeletons strengthen the matrix synergistically with semi-continuous Ni-rich intermetallics in three dimensions. The tensile mechanical properties, micro-hardness and thermal expansion properties of the alloy at different temperatures are significantly improved. Especially, the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) at 350℃ increases from 85MPa to 106MPa, rising by 24.7%, which is ascribed to nano-AlN_p microskeletons assisting intermetallics with undertaking mechanical loading, and to the modification of eutectic Si phases to reduce the stress concentration at elevated temperatures.

Particulate matter(PM)pollution has become a serious problem worldwide and various kinds of nanofibrous filters aiming to solve the problem have been *** is urgent to remove PM from high-temperature pollution sources,such as industrial emissions,coal furnaces,and automobile exhaust ***,filtration at pollution sources remains challenging because most existing air filters are not resistant to high ***,heat-resistant polyimide(PI)nanofibrous air filters are fabricated via a simple and scalable solution blow-spinning *** air filters show excellent thermal stability at high temperature up to 420℃.They exhibit a filtration efficiency as high as 99.73%at ambient temperature and over 97%at 300℃.In addition,a field test shows that the filters remove>97%of PM from the car exhaust ***,the blow-spun PI nanofibrous membranes combined with the facile preparation strategy have great potential in high temperature air filtration fields and other similar applications such as water purification and protein separation.

In the present study, creep activation energy for rupture was obtained as 221-348 kJ/mol for 22Cr15Ni3.5 CuNbN due to the precipitation-hardening mechanism. The extrapolation strength of creep rupture time of 10~5 h at 923 K for22 Cr15 Ni3.5 CuNbN is more valid(83.71 MPa) predicted by the Manson-Haferd method, which is superior to other commercial heat-resistant steels. The tensile creep tests ranging from 180 to 240 MPa at 923 K were conducted to investigate creep deformation behavior of welded joint between a novel heat-resistant austenite steel 22Cr15Ni3.5 CuNbN and ERNiCrCoMo-1 weld metal. Apparent stress exponent value of 6.54 was obtained, which indicated that the ratecontrolled creep occurred in weldment during creep. A damage tolerance factor of 6.4 in the weldment illustrates that the microstructural degradation is the dominant creep damaging mechanism in the alloy. Meanwhile, the welded joints perform two types of deformation behavior with the variation in applied stress, which resulted from the different parts that govern the creep processing. Also, the morphology evolution of the fracture surfaces confirms the effects of stress level and stress state.

Boosting the utilization efficiency of sulfur electrodes and suppressing the“shuttle effect”of intermediate polysulfides remain the critical challenge for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs).However,most of reported sulfur electrodes are not competent to realize the fast conversion of polysulfides into insoluble lithium sulfides when applied with high sulfur loading,as well as to mitigate the more serious shuttle effect of polysulfides,especially when worked at an elevated ***,we reported a unique structural engineering strategy of crafting a unique hierarchical multifunctional electrode architecture constructed by rooting MOF-derived CoS2/carbon nanoleaf arrays(CoS2-CNA)into a nitrogen-rich 3D conductive scaffold(CTNF@CoS2-CNA)for *** accelerated electrocatalytic effect and improved polysulfide redox kinetics arising from CoS2-CNA were ***,the strong capillarity effect and chemisorption of CTNF@CoS2-CNA to polysulfides enable high loading and efficient utilization of sulfur,thus leading to high-performance LIBs performed not only at room temperature but also up to an elevated temperature(55°C).Even with the ultrahigh sulfur loading of 7.19 mg cm?2,the CTNF@CoS2-CNA/S cathode still exhibits high rate capacity at 55°C.

The precipitation kinetics of σ phase in commercial HR3C heat-resistant steel during aging at 650–800 °C was studied in the paper. Through morphology, composition and structural analyzing on the second phase in the HR3C steel, it was confi rmed that the precipitations after aging were mainly NbCrN, M23C6 and FeCr type σ phase. The time-dependent mass change of the three precipitated phases showed that the linearly increased σ phase after aging at 750 °C–2000 h was transformed from NbCrN phase or M23C6 phase. According to the calculation on the volume fraction of electrolytically dyed σ phase, the time–temperature transformation(TTT) curve for σ phase at 1 vol% in two kinds of commercial HR3C steel(different in grain size) was obtained and analyzed. The nose of the TTT curve was located at around 750 °C for the two kinds of HR3C steel, and the larger grain size HR3C steel displayed a inhibit effect on the precipitation of σ phase. The impact energy of the HR3C steel after aging at 700 °C decreased obviously with the fracture mechanism changing from ductile fracture to intergranular brittle fracture, which was considered to be related to the density of σ-brittle phase after aging.

Scorpion venom heat-resistant peptide(SVHRP)is a component purified from Buthus martensii Karsch scorpion venom. Our previous studies have shown that SVHRP is neuroprotective in models of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. The present study aimed to explore the potential neuroprotective effects of SVHRP on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R) injury, using a mouse model of middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion(MCAO/R) and a cellular model of oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R). Our results showed that SVHRP treatment decreased the neurological deficit scores, edema formation, infarct volume and neuronal loss in the MCAO/R mice, and protected primary neurons against OGD/R insult. SVHRP pretreatment suppressed the alterations in protein levels of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors(NMDARs) and phosphorylated p38 MAPK as well as some proinflammatory factors in both the animal and cellular models. These results suggest that SVHRP has neuroprotective effects against cerebral I/R injury, which might be associated with inhibition of the NMDA-MAPKmediated excitotoxicity.

A heat-resistant Pyropia yezoensis strain YZ-4 was isolated from the regenerated blades of single somatic cells of the wild-type(WT)blades treated with *** cultured at 23C and 24C,the survival and division rates of the YZ-4 conchospores were significantly higher than those of WT(P<0.01).After 16 days in culture the survival rates of YZ-4 conchospores were 71.2%and 60.8%at 23C and 24C,respectively,and the division rates of the surviving conchospores were 100%in both *** the same culture conditions,the survival rates of WT conchospores were only 16.9%and 11.5%,and the division rate 99.8%and 81.8%*** resistance of 50-day-aged F1 gametophytic blades of YZ-4 to the temperature rebound was also significantly higher than those of WT(P<0.01).After 30 days in culture at 18C,23C and 24C,the mean blade length increased by 8.5,4.3 and 2.3 times in YZ-4 and was only 3,0.6 and 0.4 times in WT,*** mean blade weight increased 191.9,85.4 and 66.2 times in YZ-4,but only 78.2,7.8 and 4.6 times in *** the 15th day WT blades began to decay,but no decay was observed in YZ-4 blades even after 45 days in culture at 23C and 24*** results obtained indicate that YZ-4 has a higher resistance to higher temperature insults than WT and it might be of value for commercial production of ***.

heat-resistant silicone gels were synthesized by replacing the single main chain polymethylhydrosiloxane with reactive ladderlike polyhydrosilsesquioxane copolymers. Because of the interaction between polydimethylsiloxane chains and the ladderlike polysilsesquioxanes chains, the cyclization of the polydimethylsiloxane chains is hindered. The high thermal stability of the ladderlike polymers can improve the thermal stability of the silicone gels without sacrificing their good comprehensive properties.

The fracture behavior of Al-8. 5Fe-1. 3V-1.7Si (mass fraction, %) alloy under different deforming conditions was investigated. The results show that the propagation mode of the main crack was correlated with the orientation of prior powder boundaries (PPB’s) when the specimen ruptured. For the L-direction tensile specimen, the LT-oriented microcrack along PPB’s didn’t affect the main crack’s extensions the LSoriented microcrack might lead to unusual failure; the TS-oriented boundary was ready to become the lowenergy propagating path for the main crack. Hot rolling resulted in a larger increase of the cohesion strength of LS-and TS-oriented boundaries than that of LT-oriented boundary, thus causing the corresponding change of fracture mode at a certain deformation amount (30%). The different variation tendency for fracture strength and elongation arised from this change of fracture mode and subsequent work hardening.
