A hamiltonian system is derived for the plane elasticity problem of two-dimensional dodecagonal quasicrystals by introducing the simple state function. By using symplectic elasticity approach, the analytic solutions of the phonon and phason displacements are obtained further for the quasicrystal plates. In addition, the effectiveness of the approach is verified by comparison with the data of the finite integral transformation method.

In this paper, a new Banach space ZH is defined, and it is proved that there is completeness of eigenfunction system (symplectic orthogonal system) of a class of hamiltonian system in ZH space. We have also proved the following results: ZH space can be continuously imbedded to L-2[0,1] X L-2[0,1], but ZH not equal L-2[0,1] X L-1[0,1].

Studies on first-passage failure are extended to the multi-degree-of-freedom quasi-non-integrable-hamiltonian systems under parametric excitations of Gaussian white noises in this paper. By the stochastic averaging method of energy envelope, the system's energy can be modeled as a one-dimensional approximate diffusion process by which the classical Pontryagin equation with suitable boundary conditions is applicable to analyzing the statistical moments of the first-passage time of an arbitrary order. An example is studied in detail and some numerical results are given to illustrate the above procedure.

The symplectic algorithm and the energy conservation algorithm are two important kinds of algorithms to solve hamiltonian systems. The symplectic Runge- Kutta （RK） method is an important part of the former, and the continuous finite element method （CFEM） belongs to the later. We find and prove the equivalence of one kind of the implicit RK method and the CFEM, give the coefficient table of the CFEM to simplify its computation, propose a new standard to measure algorithms for hamiltonian systems, and define another class of algorithms --the regular method. Finally, numerical experiments are given to verify the theoretical results.

It is not convenient to solve those engineering problems defined in an infinite field by using FEM. An infinite area can be divided into a regular infinite external area and a finite internal area. The finite internal area was dealt with by the FEM and the regular infinite external area was settled in a polar coordinate. All governing equations were transformed into the hamiltonian system. The methods of variable separation and eigenfunction expansion were used to derive the stiffness matrix of a new infinite analytical element.This new element, like a super finite element, can be combined with commonly used finite elements. The proposed method was verified by numerical case studies. The results show that the preparation work is very simple, the infinite analytical element has a high precision, and it can be used conveniently. The method can also be easily extended to a three-dimensional problem.

In this paper, we study the Lie symmetrical non-Noether conserved quantity of a holonomic hamiltonian system under the general infinitesimal transformations of groups. Firstly, we establish the determining equations of Lie symmetry of the system. Secondly, the Lie symmetrical non-Noether conserved quantity of the system is deduced. Finally,an example is given to illustrate the application of the result.
