A hybrid calibration approach based on support vector machines （SVM） is proposed to characterize nonlinear cross coupling of multi-dimensional transducer. It is difficult to identify these unknown nonlinearities and crosstalk just with a single conventional calibration approach. In this paper, a hybrid model comprising calibration matrix and SVM model for calibrating linearity and nonlinearity respectively is built up. The calibration matrix is determined by linear artificial neural network （ANN）, and the SVM is used to compensate for the nonlinear cross coupling among each dimension. A simulation of the calibration of a multi-dimensional sensor is conducted by the SVM hybrid calibration method, which is then utilized to calibrate a six-component force/torque transducer of wind tunnel balance. From the calibrating results, it can be indicated that the SVM hybrid calibration method has improved the calibration accuracy significantly without increasing data samples, compared with calibration matrix. Moreover, with the calibration matrix, the hybrid model can provide a basis for the design of transducers.

The custom of hybridization fibre composite in energy absorption tube application has gained the attention of structural crashworthiness in composite material industry. Thus, the approach of this review is to understand the effect in hybridization within metal/synthetic fibre composite, synthetic/synthetic fibre composite and nature/synthetic fibre composite as energy absorption tube, which reflects on the energy absorption characteristics and crashworthiness behaviors in previous the study. By way of instance, a wide range of methodology and particular parameter in previous study such as the effect in fibre arrangement, matrix polymer, technique of fabrication, fibre treatment(natural fibre), design in geometry/cross-section and others mechanism of hybrid fibre composite tube are highlighted which to comprehend the capability of the mechanical performance and collapsible behavior as sacrificial structure in high-performance structure applications. Moreover, in the recently studies there have been many of the research regarding structural materials as energy absorption tube has been introduced such as metal/matrix composites, new alloy metals and polymer composites which intended to evaluate the performance of these materials into circumstance in loading and impact characteristic. Therefore, this review article is trying to explore the research articles related to the effect of hybridization fibres and thermoset polymer as reinforcement for energy absorption tube research and expected would provide an information and idea which to expend the knowledge in future study of hybridization effect for energy absorption tube, moreover the development for future potential as new hybrid composite fibre materials from the natural/synthetic fibres reinforced composite material in employing of high-performance energy absorption tube application is still less discover and highlighted.

With the rapid improvement of computation capability in high performance supercomputer system, the imbalance of performance between computation subsystem and storage subsystem has become more and more serious, especially when various big data are produced ranging from tens of gigabytes up to terabytes. To reduce this gap, large-scale storage systems need to be designed and implemented with high performance and scalability. MilkyWay-2 （TH-2） supercomputer system with peak performance 54.9 Props, definitely has this kind of requirement for storage system. This paper mainly introduces the storage system in MilkyWay-2 supercomputer, including the hardware architecture and the parallel file system. The storage system in MilkyWay-2 supercomputer exploits a novel hybrid hierarchy storage architecture to enable high scalability of I/O clients, I/O bandwidth and storage capacity. To fit this architecture, a user level virtualized file system, named H^2FS, is designed and implemented which can cooperate local storage and shared storage together into a dynamic single namespace to optimize I/O performance in IO-intensive applications. The evaluation results show that the storage system in MilkyWay-2 supercomputer can satisfy the critical requirements in large scale supercomputer, such as performance and scalability.

Li–O_2 batteries have attracted much attention because of their high specific energy. However, safety problem generated mainly from the flammable organic liquid electrolytes have hindered the commercial use of Li–O_2 batteries. One of the competitive alternatives is polymer electrolytes due to their flexibility and non-flammable property. Moreover, the hybrid polymer electrolyte with enhanced electrochemical properties would be achieved by incorporating inorganic filler, liquid plasticizer and redox mediator into the polymer. While most researches of the hybrid polymer electrolyte focused on Li-ion batteries, few of them took account into its application in Li–O_2 batteries. In this review, we mainly discuss hybrid polymer electrolytes for Li–O_2 batteries with different composition. The critical issues including conductivity and stability of electrolytes are also discussed in detail. Our review provides some insights of hybrid polymer electrolytes for Li–O_2 batteries and offers necessary guidelines for designing the suitable hybrid polymer electrolyte for Li–O_2 batteries as well.

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) is a new technology suitable for classification of various materials. This paper proposes a hybrid classification scheme for coal, municipal sludge and biomass by using LIBS combined with K-means and support vector machine(SVM)algorithm. In the study, 10 samples were classified in 3 groups without supervision by K-means clustering, then a further supervised classification of 6 kinds of biomass samples by SVM was carried out. The results show that the comprehensive accuracy of the hybrid classification model is over 98%. In comparison with the single SVM classification model, the hybrid classification model can save 58.92% of operation time while guaranteeing the accuracy. The results demonstrate that the hybrid classification model is able to make an efficient, fast and accurate classification of coal, municipal sludge and biomass, furthermore, it is precise for the detection of various kinds of biomass fuel.

The development of low-cost,robust and efficient non-noble metal electrocatalysts is still a pursuit for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Herein,a self-standing electrocatalyst,Ni_(2)P/CoP nanosheet,was fabricated directly on three-dimensional Ni foams by two facile steps,which illustrated both high activity and stability for HER in different *** from the porous structures of nanosheets with large specific surface area and the hybrid Ni_(2)P/CoP,the as-prepared electrocatalyst presented remarkable HER with overpotentials of 65.2 and 87.8 mV to reach a current density of-10 mA cm^(-2)in neutral and alkaline media,*** function theory calculations revealed a lower activation energy of water dissociation and efficient HER steps of hybrid Ni_(2)P/CoP nanosheets compared with mono *** self-standing electrocatalyst maintained excellent chemical ***,the HER process in domestic wastewater was realized with more impressive performance by using Ni_(2)P/CoP nanosheets compared with commercial Pt/*** was continuously generated for 20 h in mildly alkaline dishwashing *** work provides a feasible way to fabricate non-noble metal and self-standing hybrid bimetallic phosphides for HER in neutral and alkaline media,showing great potential for efficient hydrogen production by re-utilizing wastewater resources.

In this paper, linear and quadratic finite element models are devised for the three- dimensional Helmholtz problem by using a hybrid variational functional. In each element, contin- uous and discontinuous Helmholtz fields are defined with their equality enforced over the element boundary in a weak sense. The continuous field is based on the C° nodal interpolation and the discontinuous field can be condensed before assemblage. Hence, the element can readily be in- corporated seamlessly into the standard finite element program framework. Discontinuous fields constructed by the plane-wave, Bessel and singular spherical-wave solutions are attempted. Nu- merical tests demonstrate that some of the element models are consistently and considerably more accurate than their conventional counterparts.
