As the most important gold producer in China,the Northwest Jiaodong Peninsula is famous for its large gold *** recent years,the discovery of gold mineralization has reached a depth of 4000 m below the surface in this *** has attracted significant interest from explorers about the prospecting potential at greater ***,the current deep drilling shows that the prospecting effect in the west portion is better than the region to the *** it imply that there is a difference in prospecting potential between the east and the west?This paper seeks to address the issue through fission track thermochronology on apatite and zircon to reveal the temperature-time evolution relationship of rock mass and to inverts their thermal evolution *** addition,this study analyzes the transformation of ore deposits after mineralization,quantitatively calculates the uplift-erosion rate of rock mass,and summarizes the preservation law of ore *** on the thermal history simulation of the apatite fission track,our results show that the Guocheng gold belt has experienced three stages of thermal evolution:108-74,74-27,and 27-0 *** uplift and cooling processes of the threestage tectonic uplift events are the results of multi-stage Pacific plate *** calculated total denudation depth of the gold deposit in the Guocheng gold belt from Cretaceous to the present is about 3.4-5.3 *** metallogenic depth of the ore body in the gold belt is 5.6-8.0 km,which indicates that the ore body in the Guocheng gold belt has suffered a significant degree of *** is speculated that the location with less denudation in the southwest has greater prospecting *** results quantitatively identify the uplift and denudation of the deposit after mineralization,which provides a new theoretical reference for regional mineralization,deep prospecting and exploration.

The P-T conditions of auriferous and barren quartz veins from Kopylovsky,Kavkaz and Krasnoye gold deposits in Proterozoic black shales of Bodaybo ore region are presented the first time in this *** inclusions trapped in auriferous quartz are aqueous Na±K-Mg chloride with salinity of 6 wt.%-8.8 wt.%*** temperatures vary from 260 to 350℃,and calculated trapping pressures are 1.2-1.6 *** fluids trapped in barren quartz have more complicated compositions with Na,K,Mg and Fe chlorides,salinity up to 13 wt.%NaCleqv,and homogenization temperatures ranging between 140 and 280℃.The volatiles in fluids are dominated by H2O,followed by CO2 with minor amounts of CH4 and *** suppose that auriferous and barren quartz veins have been formed due to the basic metamorphogenic fluid as evidenced by the close slat and gas fluid composition.

Remote Sensing Technology for Identification of Alteration Information of gold deposits in the Eastern Tianshan Area, Xinjiang

Based on specific well-exposed rocks useful for high-quality remote sensing interpretation in the gold-prospecting area in the eastern Tianshan, this paper gives a detailed description of a remote sensing model for metallogenic prediction. The model reveals that multi-spectral remote sensing data are integrated with high-resolution remote sensing data, and enhanced extraction and visual description of weak remote sensing information are used for prospecting. This model has tested in the given gold deposit, and used successfully in Au-Cu prospecting in the Kalatage area.

Mineral assemblages formed during hydrothermal alteration reflect the geochemical composition of ore-forming fluids. gold is mainly transported in solution as Au-CI and Au-S complexes. The change of physicochemical conditions such as temperature, pressure, oxygen fugacity, and sulfur fugacity are effective mechanisms for gold precipitation. gold tends to be concentrated in the vapor phase of fluids at high temperatures and pressures. Au-As and Au-Sb associations are common in gold deposit. Native antimony and/or arsenic -- native gold assemblages may precipitate from hydrothermal fluids with low sulfur fugacity. Hydrothermal fluids forming epithermal gold deposits are Au-saturated in most cases, whereas fluids of Carlin-type are Au-undersaturated. Quasi-steady As-bearing pyrite extracts solid solution Au from hydrothermal fluids through absorption. The capability of As-bearing pyrite to absorb An from under-saturated fluid is the key to the formation of large-scale Carlin-type deposits. With increasing new data, studies on the geochemistry of gold deposits can be used to trace the origin of ore-forming fluids, the source of gold, and the transporting form of Au and other ore-forming elements, such as Si, S, F, Cl, As and Ag.

Based on palaeomagnetic studies of the Precambrian gold deposits in the Xiong'ershan area, Henan Province, the authors infer that the ore-forming processes of the Beiling alteration-type gold ore deposit and the Dianfang breccia-type gold ore deposit started in the Proterozoic, and was superimposed by later mineralization, whereas the mineralization age of the Jiguanshan quartz- vein type gold ore deposit is Yanshanian.

Cooling History of Mesozoic Magmatism and Implications for Large-Scale gold Mineralization in the Jiaodong Peninsula, East China: Constraints from T-t Paths Determined by U-Pb Thermochronology of Zircon and Apatite

The eastern North China craton contains the largest association of gold deposits in *** of gold deposits of different scales,commonly in groups or belts,constitute seven cluster *** contrast,there are no industrial gold deposits in the neighbouring areas to UHP Sulu region,and the northern Yangtze craton. The host rocks of the gold deposits are chiefly Precambrian high-grade metamorphic rocks and granites(anatectic melts derived from the Precambrian metamorphic rocks).Traditionally the gold deposits were considered to be of Archaean greenstone ***,recent geochronology of granitoid bodies and veins related to the gold mineralization and gold-bearing minerals in ore lodes reveals that the main metallogenic episode was at 110-130 Ma in all the seven cluster regions. Geochemical data also indicate that the metallogenic materials mainly came from the Precambrian basement of the North China craton and its underlying ***-Nb-Pb and S-O-H isotopic data of the ore lodes show crust-mantle mixing characteristics,corresponding to the metamorphic host rocks and basic-alkaline *** main structures controlling the mineralization are Mesozoic faults that trend～NE-NEE～***,the Precambrian rocks and Mesozoic magma-tectonic events provide the fundamental controls on the mineralization. Problematic relationships between the Mesozoic tectonic events(Yanshanian movements) and large-scale metallogenic activity have attracted substantial attention from Chinese and foreign *** tectonic inversion in eastern China mainly involved a thick lithosphere that was thinning at depth and a reconstructed basin-and-range structure at the surface,which have been the result of a catastrophic lithosphere-asthenosphere *** tectonic event led to a large-scale mantle upwelling,which induced disturbance and adjustment of thermal,density and chemical phenomena,resulting in large scale crustal remelting(especially the lower crust),material exch

The Mesozoic intrusions of the Jiaodong Peninsula,eastern China,host giant gold *** the genesis of these deposits requires the determination of the source of the parental auriferous fluid and the timing of gold mineralization,which are strongly influenced by the cooling/uplift histories of the hosting *** performed an integrated U-Pb geochronology study on both zircon and apatite from four major magmatic episodes of the Jiaodong *** zircon and apatite U-Pb ages are 156.9±1.2 and 137.2±2.4 Ma for the Linglong intrusion,129.9±1.0 and 125.0±3.8 Ma for the Qujia intrusion,119.5±0.7 and 117.2±1.8 Ma for the Liulinzhuang intrusion,118.6±1.0 and 111.6±1.6 Ma for the Nansu intrusion,*** coupled zircon and apatite data of these granitoids indicate a slow cooling rate(11.9°C/Ma)in the Late Jurassic,and rapid uplift and cooling(35.8-29.2°C/Ma)in the Early *** dramatically increased uplift and cooling period in the Early Cretaceous are contemporaneous with large-scale gold mineralization in the Jiaodong *** implies that thermal upwelling of asthenosphere and related tectonic extension played an important role in gold remobilization and precipitation.

The exploration of undersea resources becomes popular as land resources decrease. Researches were conducted with emphasis on the safety and efficiency of undersea mining of the large gold deposit in Xinli District of Sanshandao gold Mine. A series of tests for the physical and mechanical characteristics of rock mass were carried out, and the three-dimensional geo-stress distribution was tested in the mining area. Further, a similar experimental simulation platform, which revealed the mechanism of water inrush and ascertained the reason- able thickness of the safety isolate layer, was established for the undersea mining. Meanwhile, the feasibility of cancelling the ore pillars and the safety conditions was checked by numerical simulation. The simulation results show that it is safe to exploit the ore body below the -85 m level （presently, the exploitation level is below -160 m in Xinli District）, and the ore pillars can be cancelled below the -560 m level. Fur- thermore, a novel backfill method was designed to reduce the rock strata disturbance and settlement, and the settlement of roof strata was monitored during the mining process. Engineering practice shows that the settlement of roof strata was small and that no disaster happened. This indicates that the undersea safety mining technology of the large gold deposit is achieved in Xinli District.

Geochemical data of altered wall rocks are important for the metallogenic prognosis of hydrothermal gold deposits. Indicator elements of altered wall rocks such as K, AI, As, Sb, and Hg have been successfully used to assess gold anomalies in lithogeochemicai survey. However, such researches have rarely been done in stream sediment survey for the exploration of gold from various landscapes. On the basis of the geochemical analysis of altered wall rocks of gold deposits in the cold desert areas of Gansu （甘肃） Province in Northwest China, it is found that the combination of AI, K, and Sn could serve as an important indicator of hydrothermal gold deposits and can be used to evaluate the metallogenic prospective of gold anomalies in stream sediments. More studies performed in the cold grassland areas and the moderate-low relief mountainous areas showed that, both weak and strong geochemical anomalies can be extracted, if strictly abiding by the ways of calculation and addition of the binary values of the indicator elements with equal weight, and this provides the sound delineation of metallogenic perspective areas.
