We report a cw Er3+:Yb3+ co-doped phosphate glass laser pumped by a laser diode. The maximum output power of 78.3 mW and a slope efficiency of 15.25% were achieved. The laser spectral region was from 1532 nm to 1535 nm, with the peak laser wavelength at 1534 nm. The laser modes and time stability were also measured. The thermal effect had little influence on the output in our experiment.

We demonstrate a high power single-frequency fiber laser. By using phosphate glass fiber as its gain media, the laser can achieve high output power of 100 mW in centimeter-long linear cavity. Single-frequency singlepolarization operation with 〈5 kHz linewidth and 65-dB signal-to-noise ratio （SNR） is realized by using external cavity polarization feedback technology.

A high energy pulsed terahertz（THz） laser is studied *** laser cavity simply consists of a quartz glass waveguide,a coated GaAs input window,and a crystal quartz output ***3 is filled in the cavity as gain medium,and pumped by an 8-J line-tunable transversely excited atmospheric（TEA） CO_2 *** 9R（16） transition acts as the pump line,55.6-mJ THz radiation（90μm） is obtained at 730-Pa NH_3 *** corresponding conversion efficiency is 13.54%.Energy and optimal pressure of amplified spontaneous emission and laser oscillation are compared.

A single-frequency pulsed erbium-doped fiber （EDF） laser with master-oscillator power-amplifier configuration at 1 533 nm is developed. A short-cavity, erbium-doped phosphate glass fiber laser is utilized as a seeder laser with a linewidth of 5 kHz and power of 40 mW. The seeder laser is modulated to be a pulse laser with a repetition rate of 10 kHz and pulse duration of 500 ns. The amplifier consists of two pre-amplifiers and one main amplifier. The detailed characteristics of the spectrum and linewidth of the amplifiers are presented. A pulse energy of 116 μJ and a linewidth of 1.1 MHz are obtained. This laser can be a candidate transmitter for an all-fiber Doppler wind lidar in the boundary layer.
