Expression detection plays a vital role to determine the patient’s condition in healthcare *** helps the monitoring teams to respond swiftly in case of *** to the lack of suitable methods,results are often compromised in an unconstrained environment because of pose,scale,occlusion and illumination variations in the image of the face of the patient.A novel patch-based multiple local binary patterns(LBP)feature extraction technique is proposed for analyzing human behavior using facial expression *** consists of three-patch[TPLBP]and four-patch LBPs[FPLBP]based feature engineering *** representation is encoded from local patch statistics using these *** and FPLBP capture information that is encoded to find likenesses between adjacent patches of pixels by using short bit strings contrary to pixel-based *** images are transformed into the frequency domain using a discrete cosine transform(DCT).Most discriminant features extracted from coded DCT images are combined to generate a feature *** vector machine(SVM),k-nearest neighbor(KNN),and Naïve Bayes(NB)are used for the classification of facial expressions using selected *** experimentation is performed to analyze human behavior by considering standard extended Cohn Kanade(CK+)and Oulu–CASIA *** demonstrate that the proposed methodology outperforms the other techniques used for comparison.

People spend most of their time communicating their thoughts, ideas, attitudes, and emotions on social media platforms like Twitter, however, an important mode of communication as the nonverbal component which requires visual and audible cues is not allowed due to the nature of these text-based platforms. The aim of this research is to discover the alternative ways Arabs use across different dialects to compensate for the absence of the nonverbal component. To be able to discover that the researchers collected a corpus of tweets written in the Arabic language by using python through the Twitter application programming interface (API). The results can be summed up as follows: emojis helped Arabs to communicate their facial expressions and the top used emoji across the different dialects was Face with Tears of Joy, it was also apparent that the top used emojis reflected the universal emotions, regarding the usage of hand gestures, Egyptian dialect came in the first place and Emirati dialect in the second place. Prosodic features such as the tone and loudness of the voice are expressed by the mean of character repetition, Punctuation usage across the Arabic dialects was limited, and Lebanese seemed to use them the most, Arabs tend to replace punctuation marks with emojis, finally, Arabs used vocal expressions like Interjections to communicate their affective state.

We have developed a wearable system for mobile distributed collaboration called HandsInAir using emerging wireless and mobile technologies. This system was developed to support real world scenarios in which a remote mobile helper guides a local mobile worker in the completion of a physical task. HandsInAir consists of a helper unit and a worker unit. Both units are equipped with wearable devices having the same hardware configuration, but running different pieces of software to support the distinct roles of the collaborators (helper and worker). The two sides are connected via a wireless network and the collaboration partners can communicate with each other via audio and visual links. In this paper we describe the technical implementation of the system and present a preliminary evaluation of it. The paper concludes with a brief discussion of possible future work for further improvements and new developments.

A method for placing oil paint in metal tubes occurred in the early 1840s, which facilitated artists taking their materials out of doors to paint nature directly. In France in the 1860s, we know of painters like Claude Monet were working on beaches and port cities to capture the effect of scenes under natural light. By 1874 the Anonymous Society of Painters, Sculptors, Engravers, etc. （Impressionists） offered their first public exhibition to much criticism. A common complaint of the new work was that it lacked finish to be considered as a completed work for sale. It is the view of this paper that outdoor, or plein air painting, developed because of the circumstances this type of work developed in the artist naturally. I focus on two areas that outdoor painting forced the artist to consider： incidents and accidents. The incidents refer to the varied weather the painter had to deal with and the accidents identify the intuitive methods the plein air painters fell practice to when confronted by difficult passages or situations in nature. These experiences would shift the focus of the Impressionists from recording nature in a naturalistic way to self-expression, which would become a key idea in early modem painting. The finish the detractors of Impressionism called for would be replaced by an appreciation for the personal in painting as exacting images of landscape became predictable and lacked the vitality of the intuitive picture that could offer something new to art.

基于视觉的手势识别是实现新型人机交互的一项关键技术,有其现实的研究意义。针对动态手势识别过程,开发了一个用于捕获动态手势的gestures Visualizer系统,利用Leap Motion控制器采集数据信息和隐马尔科夫模型对手势模型进行多次训练和识别。该手势识别过程实现了动态手势数据的录制,通过对录制好的手势序列进行学习获得每个手势的模型,然后通过实验选取最优的特征集和参数,最后进行分类识别。实验结果表明,所提出的动态手势识别方法具有良好的识别率。
