Critical Behavior of the gaussian model with Periodic Interactions on Diamond—Type Hierarchical Lattices in External Magnetic Fields

The gaussian spin model with periodic interactions on the diamond-type hierarchical lattices is constructed by generalizing that with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices according to a class of substitution sequences. The gaussian distribution constants and imposed external magnetic fields are also periodic depending on the periodic characteristic of the interaction bonds. The critical behaviors of this generalized gaussian model in external magnetic fields are studied by the exact renormalization-group approach and spin rescaling method. The critical points and all the critical exponents are obtained. The critical behaviors are found to be determined by the gaussian distribution constants and the fractal dimensions of the lattices. When all the gaussian distribution constants are the same, the dependence of the critical exponents on the dimensions of the lattices is the same as that of the gaussian model with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices.

Wrist pulse contains important information about the health status of a *** pathological changes of organ could be perceived by pulse-feeling which has been popular for thousands of years in ***,the traditional Chinese medicine usually portrays the pulse types in a vague and general language,and the diagnoses from physicians often diverge greatly due to their subjective ***,the objectification of pulse diagnosis is imperative under the modern computer technology *** paper proposes a novel pulse feature extraction method based on improved gaussian model,the experiments has been done on a dataset which is collected from 148 healthy persons and 288 patients by using the self-designed pulse collecting system,the results show that the method is efficient for diagnosis.

Iran, as a developing country has been facing rapid growth in the energy demanding sectors and needs to achieve essential elements of sustainable development. Environmental impact assessment of factories which emit hazardous gases such as HF would promise a fruitful future to achieve sustainable development. This study reveals an environmental impact assessment that has been carried out for an Aluminum Complex to be located in south of Iran. Application of gaussian model showed that the highest concentration at the center of HF plume is 2.65 gr/sec; whereas the average wind speed is 9.1 Knots, the emission rate is 1.24 gr/sec, downwind distance 400 m and the atmospheric stability is in A class. For unstable atmospheric conditions the amount of HF emission comes to be one forth of Iran＇s national standard. It is also suggested that real-time monitoring of the pollutant particles and emissions, together with adapting proper mitigation plans and management skills, will lead to maximum efficiency with the least harmful environmental impacts.

To overcome the limitations of conventional speech enhancement methods, such as inaccurate voice activity detector(VAD) and noise estimation, a novel speech enhancement algorithm based on the approximate message passing(AMP) is adopted. AMP exploits the difference between speech and noise sparsity to remove or mute the noise from the corrupted speech. The AMP algorithm is adopted to reconstruct the clean speech efficiently for speech enhancement. More specifically, the prior probability distribution of speech sparsity coefficient is characterized by gaussian-model, and the hyper-parameters of the prior model are excellently learned by expectation maximization(EM) algorithm. We utilize the k-nearest neighbor(k-NN) algorithm to learn the sparsity with the fact that the speech coefficients between adjacent frames are correlated. In addition, computational simulations are used to validate the proposed algorithm, which achieves better speech enhancement performance than other four baseline methods-Wiener filtering, subspace pursuit(SP), distributed sparsity adaptive matching pursuit(DSAMP), and expectation-maximization gaussian-model approximate message passing(EM-GAMP) under different compression ratios and a wide range of signal to noise ratios(SNRs).

Application of the AERMOD modeling system for environmental impact assessment of NO_2 emissions from a cement complex

We applied the model of American Meteorological Society-Environmental Protection Agency Regulatory model（AERMOD） as a tool for the analysis of nitrogen dioxide（NO2） emissions from a cement complex as a part of the environmental impact *** dispersion of NO2 from four cement plants within the selected cement complex were investigated both by measurement and AERMOD simulation in dry and wet *** values of NO2 emissions were compared with those obtained during a 7-day continuous measurement campaign at 12 *** was predicted that NO2 concentration peaks were found more within 1 to 5 km,where the measurement and simulation were in good agreement,than at the receptors 5 km further away from the reference *** QuantileQuantile plots of NO2 concentrations in dry season were mostly fitted to the middle line compared to those in wet *** can be attributed to high NO2 wet *** results show that for both the measurement and the simulation using the AERMOD,NO2 concentrations do not exceed the NO2 concentration limit set by the National Ambient Air Quality Standards（NAAQS） of *** indicates that NO2 emissions from the cement complex have no significant impact on nearby *** can be concluded that the AERMOD can provide useful information to identify high pollution impact areas for the EIA guidelines.

Effects of Water-table Depth and Soil Moisture on Plant Biomass, Diversity, and Distribution at a Seasonally Flooded Wetland of Poyang Lake, China

Hydrological regime has been widely recognized as one of the major forces determining vegetation distribution in seasonally flooded wetland. Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, has been encountering dramatic changes in hydrological conditions in last decade, which greatly influenced the wetland vegetations. To explore the relationships between hydrology and vegetation distri- bution, water-table depth, soil moisture, species composition, diversity and biomass were measured at a seasonally flooded wetland section at Wucheng National Nature Reserve. Three plant communities, Artemisia capillaris, Phragmites australis and Carex cineras- cens communities, were examined which are zonally distributed from upland to lakeshore with decreasing elevation. Canonical corre- spondence analysis （CCA）, spearmen correlation and logistic regression were adopted to analyze the relationships between vegetation characteristics and hydrological variables of water-table depth and soil moisture. Results show that significant hydrological gradient exist along the wetland transect. Water-table demonstrates a seasonal variation and is consistently deepest in A. capillaris community （ranging from q）.5 m above ground to ＋10.3 m below ground）, intermediate in P. australis community （-2.6 m to ＋7.8 m） and shallow- est in C. cinerascens community （-4.5 m to ＋6.1 m）. Soil moisture is lowest and most variable in A. capillaris community, highest and least variable in P. australis community, and intermediate and moderate variable in C. cinerascens community. The CCA ordination indicated that variables of water-table depth and soil moisture are strongly related to community distribution, which explained 81.7% of the vegetation variations. Species diversity indices are significantly positively correlated with soil moisture and negatively correlated with moisture variability, while above- and belowground biomass are positively correlated with moisture.
