Given the institutional similarities between Romania and China in history,its experience in the field of foreign language education reform in colleges and universities can be used for reference in the reform of foreign language teaching of higher education in *** the help of Citespace,this paper presents a visual statistical analysis of 47 SSCI international journal articles on foreign language reform in Romanian universities and gives some suggestions on foreign language education reform in Chinese universities from four aspects:teaching environment,content,technology and cooperation.

foreign language education is an important part of Chinese education,but the overall foreign language education in China is still relatively *** language education and policies in contemporary China are closely related to China’s political,economic,and social *** contemporary Chinese foreign language education and policies,since the establishment of New China in 1949,can be divided into four *** first period is a period of domination by the Russian language(1949–1956),the second period is a period of exploration and transformation(1956–1966),the third period is a period of interruption(1966–1978),and the fourth period is a period of development and improvement(1978 to present).Understanding foreign language education and policies in contemporary Chinese universities can contribute to the future development of foreign language education and policies in China.

Students’evaluation of moral education is of great significance for improving the quality of *** a survey of 2715 undergraduates majoring in foreign languages,this paper analyzes their evaluation of the moral *** show that students speak highly of teachers’competence in moral education,teaching methods and the integration of moral education in the textbooks,but not in the course assessment and the overall effect of moral *** were proposed accordingly to improve moral education of foreign language education in China.

This review,which can be seen as a scoping review,highlights 92 empirical studies about the learning and instruction of reading Chinese as an additional language(CAL)published in English between 1976 and *** first identifies and evaluates the trends of CAL reading research over the past four decades,including the developmental trajectory of the field,topics that are hot versus those not-so-hot,populations that are widely studied versus under studied,research methods adopted in the selected studies,and the most widely cited ***,the review examines direct evidence that supports effective practices of CAL reading instruction and explores two tracks of studies:high-evidence versus low-evidence *** review concludes with thoughts on the future directions of CAL reading research inspired by trends in the areas of literacy,second language acquisition(SLA),and teaching Chinese as a second/foreign language(TSCL/TCFL).To be specific,there is a need for the field to pay equal attention to learning to read and reading to learn.

This paper presents a critical overview of studies on mobile assisted language learning(MALL)in teaching Chinese as a foreign language(CFL)during the period 2007−*** the review,keyword and reference searches were conducted to identify and select empirical studies during the review *** and frequency analyses were employed on the *** identified methodological trends and research outcomes in the reviewed *** shown in the results,most of the reviewed studies used qualitative methods to examine the effect of mobile CFL learning on formal learning in higher education *** studies document the positive impact that mobile technology has on CFL *** attention is primarily on the use of mobile learning in Chinese vocabulary acquisition,language skill development and mobile seamless *** are provided for further research to support continuous mobile assisted CFL teaching and learning.

foreign language education should integrate cultural teaching into the training of linguistic skills. Values, as the core of culture and moral education, should be paid enough attention to. During the study process of Chinese university English majors, they inevitably encounter enormous information of Western cultures and values, and their own values may come into conflict with the ones they meet. So the English teachers have the responsibility to help the students construct correct values. Such principles as cultivating critical thinking, offering the course of Chinese culture and using group discussions and activities should be followed during instruction to facilitate the value cultivation among English majors

This paper examines the teaching and learning of non-official languages in formal secondary education in Cameroon and the attitudes of learners to these languages. The data consist of a ten-item questionnaire administered in the University of Yaounde I during registration, a period when pupils from the ten regions of the country come to Yaounde to seek admission into this university＇. The informants, who were 432 learners having completed secondary education in Cameroon, were distributed as follows： 180 arts pupils, 192 science pupils and 60 parents. The findings revealed that these languages are compulsory school subjects that most learners hated but had to take them just to pass their examinations. As a result, they had very limited competence in them as most of them reported that they could not hold a three-minute conversation in these languages on completion of secondary education. They suggested that the pool of languages to choose from be increased from the current two languages to many others including Cameroonian, African and Asian tongues. Innovative ways for diversifying the pool of non-official languages and implementation strategies for a smooth integration of such a pool of languages in the school system are outlined.

This paper gives a comprehensive review of studies on foreign language anxiety. foreign language anxiety has been recognized in the past few decades as a situation-specific emotional reaction that potentially impedes foreign language learning. Research has shown that foreign language anxiety is not only prevalent among foreign language learners, but also has various negative effects on foreign language learning. In order to help learners cope with this problem, researchers have identified a large number of sources of foreign language anxiety, which generally fall into four major categories, namely, the classroom environment, learner characteristics, the target language, and the foreign language learning process itself. Researchers have also investigated quite a number of factors associated with foreign language anxiety （including categorical background variables and quantitative learner variables） and have produced mixed results. Based on a thorough review of foreign language anxiety, the paper concludes with recommendations for future studies on foreign language anxiety.
