The present paper addresses the megnetohydrodynamic Jeffrey fluid flow with heat and mass transfer on an infinitely rotating upright cone. Inquiry is carried out with heat source/sink and chemical reaction ***, constant thermal and concentration flux situations are imposed. Optimal homotopy analysis method (OHAM) is employed to achieve series solutions of the concerned differential equations. Important results of the flow phenomena are explored and deliberated by means of graphs and numerical tables. It is perceived that thermal boundary layer thickness possess contrast variations for the heat source and heat sink, respectively. The chemical reaction enhances the heat transfer rate but decline the mass transfer rate. Moreover, the precision of the existing findings is verified by associating them with the previously available work.

This work consider boundary integrability of the weak solutions of a non-Newtonian compressible fluids in a bounded domain in dimension three, which has the constitutive equartions as ■The existence result of weak solutions can be get based on Galerkin approximation. With the linear operator B constructed by BOGOVSKII, we show that the density ■is square integrable up to the boundary.

Numerical investigation of the dusty Williamson fluid with the dependency of time has been done in current disquisition. The flow of multiphase liquid/particle suspension saturating the medium is caused by stretching of porous surface. The influence of magnetic field and heat generation/absorption is observed. It is assumed that particle has a spherical shape and distributed uniformly in fluid matrix. The unsteady two-dimensional problems are modeled for both fluid and particle phase using conservation of mass, momentum and heat transfer. The finalized model generates the non-dimensioned parameters, namely Weissenberg number, unsteadiness parameter, magnetic parameter,heat generation/absorption parameter, Prandtl number, fluid particle interaction parameter, and mass concentration parameters. The numerical solution is obtained. Locality of skin friction and Nusselt number is deliberately focused to help of tables and graphs. While inferencing the current article it is clearly observed that increment of Williamson parameter, unsteadiness parameter, magnetic parameter, volume fraction parameter, and mass concentration parameter reduces the velocity profile of fluid and solid particles as well. And increment of Prandtl number, unsteadiness parameter,volume fraction parameter, and mass concentration parameter reduces the temperature profile of fluid and solid particles as well.

The boundary integral technique is used to study the effect of deformation on the steady,creeping, thermocapillary migration of a fluid particle under conditions of axisymmetry, negligiblethermal convection and an insulated tube wall. The spherical radius of the fluid particle (i.e. theradius as if the particle were a sphere, a '= (3Vp'/4π)1/3, Vp'is the particle volume) and that ofthe tube are denoted, respectively, by a'and b'. For small capillary number Ca = 0.05, only for alarge fluid particle (a'/b'= 0.8) is deformation significant. For a'/b'= 0.8, hydrodynamic stressessqueeze the particle, reduce the interaction of the particle with the wall and thereby increase theterminal velocity. For small particles a'/b'＜ 0.8 and Ca = 0.05 the fluid particles translate asspheres, due to the fact that the fluid particleis too far away from the wall to be subject to distend-ing hydrodynamic stresses. The deformable particle moves faster than a spherical one in thethermocapillary migration. The increase in velocity with capillary number is larger for thermocapil-lary motion than for buoyancy.

Tau protein, a microtubule-associated protein, has a high specific expression in neurons and axons. Because traumatic spinal cord injury mainly affects neurons and axons, we speculated that tau protein may be a promising biomarker to reflect the degree of spinal cord injury and prognosis of motor function. In this study, 160 female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham group, and mild, moderate, and severe spinal cord injury groups. A laminectomy was performed at the T8 level to expose the spinal cord in all groups. A contusion lesion was made with the NYU-MASCIS impactor by dropping a 10 g rod from heights of 12.5 mm(mild), 25 mm(moderate) and 50 mm(severe) upon the exposed dorsal surface of the spinal cord. Tau protein levels were measured in serum and cerebrospinal fluid samples at 1, 6, 12, 24 hours, 3, 7, 14 and 28 days after operation. Locomotor function of all rats was assessed using the Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan locomotor rating scale. Tau protein concentration in the three spinal cord injury groups(both in serum and cerebrospinal fluid) rapidly increased and peaked at 12 hours after spinal cord injury. Statistically significant positive linear correlations were found between tau protein level and spinal cord injury severity in the three spinal cord injury groups, and between the tau protein level and Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan locomotor rating scale scores. The tau protein level at 12 hours in the three spinal cord injury groups was negatively correlated with Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan locomotor rating scale scores at 28 days(serum: r =-0.94; cerebrospinal fluid: r =-0.95). Our data suggest that tau protein levels in serum and cerebrospinal fluid might be a promising biomarker for predicting the severity and functional outcome of traumatic spinal cord injury.

It has been proved to be a difficult problem to determine directly trapping pressure of fluid inclusions. Recently, PVT simulation softwares have been applied to simulating the trapping pressure of petroleum inclusions in reservoir rocks, but the reported methods have many limita- tions in practice. In this paper, a method is suggested to calculating the trapping pressure and temperature of fluid inclusions by combining the isochore equations of a gas-bearing aqueous inclusion with its coeval petroleum inclusions. A case study was conducted by this method for fluid inclusions occurring in the Upper-Paleozoic Shanxi Formation reservoir sandstones from the Ordos Basin. The results show that the trapping pressure of these inclusions ranges from 21 to 32 MPa, which is 6─7 MPa higher than their minimum trapping pressure although the trapping temperature is only 2─3℃ higher than the homogenization temperature. The trapping pressure and temperature of the fluid inclusions decrease from southern area to northern area of the basin. The trapping pressure is obviously lower than the state water pressures when the inclusions formed. These data are consistent with the regional geological and geochemical conditions of the basin when the deep basin gas trap formed.

The SW96 formulation explicit in Helmholtz free energy proposed by Span and Wagner(1996)is the most accurate multifunction equation of state of CO_2 fluid,from which all thermodynamic properties can be obtained over a wide temperature-pressure range from 216.592 to 1100 K and from 0 to 8000 bar with or close to experimental *** paper reports the applications of the SW96 formulation in fluid inclusions and mineral-fluid equilibria.A reliable and highly efficient algorithm is presented for the saturated properties of CO_2 so that the formulation can be conveniently applied in the study of fluid inclusions,such as calculation of homogenization pressures,homogenization densities(or molar volumes),volume fractions of vapor phase and ***,the univariant curves of some typical decarbonation reactions of minerals are calculated with the SW96 formulation and relevant thermodynamic models of *** computer code of the SW96 formulation can be obtained from the corresponding author.

We consider a one-dimensional continuous thermal model of nuclear matter, which is described by a compressible Navier-Stokes-Poission system with a non-monotone equation of state owing to the effective Skyrme nuclear interaction between particles. We prove the global existence of solutions in H^4 space for a free boundary value problem with a possible destabilizing influence of the pressure which is not always positive,provided a sufficient thermal dissipation is present and first obtain the existence of classical solutions.
