Ventilated Double Skin facades in Hot-Summer and Cold-Winter Zones in China

Double-skin facades(DSF)are a technique developed for colder climates,so few people think about whether or not it can also be used for hot-summer and cold-winter zones in *** analyzing the problems of using DSF for hot-summer zones,this paper explored on the possibility of applying DSF in hot-summer and cold-winter zones in *** main existing research methods for DSF were also collected and *** properly managed,the ventilated DSF with controlled shading devices can be used even in hot summer in China.

Stainless Steel Composite Integrated in Modern Facade Engineering

This paper shows the results of characterising a stainless steel composite material for applications in facade engineering. A number of possible shapes generated with pneumatic stretch forming are presented as a result of simulation studies. In this context a model of a possible facade combined from different shapes is created to show the optical effect of the simulated shapes. Additionally, the manufacturing of a device for pneumatic stretch forming is discussed and first results of transforming the stainless steel composite material with pneumatic stretch forming are shown.

This article deepens the theme treated in other1 that approaches the evolution of the productive chain and of the technology of application of stone cladding in Sao Paulo,*** the study of this productive chain it is noticed that there takes place growing improvement of the quality of these *** two important buildings are analyzed:Citicorp Center(1986)and RochaveráCorporate Towers(2012).This work is in the context of extensive research for realization of the thesis of doctorate of the author in the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Mackenzie Presbyterian University,Sao Paulo,Brazil,2 where is valued the quality of contemporary projects,executed in the last 30 years,which adopted claddings with stone plates in his facades and relevant aspects of the productive chain of the industry of the rocks.
