In slurry shield tunneling, the stability of tunnel face is closely related to the filter cake. The cutting of the cutterhead has negative impact on the formation of filter cake. This study focuses on the formation time of dynamic filter cake considering the filtration effect and rotation of cutterhead. filtration effect is the key factor for slurry infiltration. A multilayer slurry infiltration experiment system is designed to investigate the variation of filtrate rheological property in infiltration process. Slurry mass concentration CL, soil permeability coefficient k, the particle diameter ratio between soil equivalent grain size and representative diameter of slurry particles d(10)/D-85 are selected as independent design variables to fit the computational formula of filtration coefficient. Based on the relative relation between the mass of deposited particles in soil pores and infiltration time, a mathematical model for calculating the formation time of dynamic filter cake is proposed by combining the formation criteria and formation rate of external filter cake. The accuracy of the proposed model is verified through existing experiment data. Analysis results show that filtration coefficient is positively correlated with slurry mass concentration, while negatively correlated with the soil permeability coefficient and the particle diameter ratio between soil and slurry. As infiltration distance increases, the adsorption capacity of soil skeleton to slurry particles gradually decreases. The formation time of external filter cake is significantly lower than internal filter cake and the ratio is approximately 3.9. Under the dynamic cutting of the cutterhead, the formation time is positively associated with the rotation speed of cutter head, while negatively with the phase angle difference between adjacent cutter arm. Impact of carbon-based nutrient enhancement on biofiltration performance for drinking water treatment

Incorporation of a carbon-based nutrient enhancementstrategy for drinking water biofiltration is an attractive option, especially for source waters which contain recalcitrant organics. This study compared biofilters that were operated in parallel and individually enhanced with amino acids(including alanine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan), inulin, and sucrose to increase biomass concentration and promote biodegradation of dissolved organic carbon(DOC) in the source water, including disinfection by-product(DBP) precursors. Biomass activity was characterized by measuring adenosine tri-phosphate(ATP), dissolved oxygen(DO) consumption, and through the use of laccase and esterase enzyme assays. Performance was evaluated in terms of headloss,turbidity, p H, DOC, UV254, and DBP formation potential(DBP FP). The introduction of carbonbased nutrients significantly increased biomass activity, where ATP values peaked at 976 ng/g of filter media, 853 ng/g, and 513 ng/g for amino acids, inulin, and sucrose-spiked biofilters,respectively, while a non-spiked control only reached 104 ng/g. DO utilization by the enhanced biofilters was significantly higher than the control, with a strong correlation between ATP and DO uptake observed for all filters(R^2> 0.74). Laccase and esterase enzyme activities of enhanced biofilters were also elevated(p > 0.05), suggesting greater biodegradation potential. Operational parameters such as headloss development and turbidity control were not impaired by carbon supplementation strategies or an increase in biomass concentration and activity. However, the enhancement strategy did not provide improvement in terms of source water carbon removal(DOC and UV254) or DBP FP when treated filters were compared to a control.

Organic solvent nanofiltration(OSN)membranes have a great application prospect in organic solvent separation,but the development of OSN membranes is mainly restricted by trade-off between permeability and rejection *** this work,a TA/Fe^(3+)polymer was introduced into polyetherimide(PEI)ultrafiltration membranes crosslinked with hexamethylene diamine as the intermediate layer,and OSN membranes with high separation performance and solvent permeability were obtained through interfacial polymerization and solvent *** interlayer with high surface hydrophilicity and a fixed pore structure controlled the adsorption/diffusion of the amine monomer during interfacial polymerization,forming a smooth(average surface roughnessfiltration membranes,the PA-Fe^(3+)_(3)-HDA/PEI membrane can be manufactured from an economical and environment-friendly method and overcomes the trade-off between permeability and rejection rate,showing great application potential in organic solvent separation systems.

This paper interprets mixed multiplicities of good filtrations as Hilbert-Samuel multiplicities, and shows that （ε1,..., εm）-superficial sequences in [16] （2007） and superficial sequences in [15] （1973） are weak-（FC）-sequences in [19] （2000）. As consequences, we not only obtain generalized results for mixed multiplicities of ideals in [15, 16, 19] but also get an improvement of [19, Theorem 3.4] that seems to account well for the essence of [16, Theorem 1.4].

We obtain alternative explicit Specht filtrations for the induced and the restricted Specht modules in the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group (defined over the ring A = Z[g^1/2, q^-1/2], where q is an indeterminate) using C-bases for these modules. Moreover, we provide a link bet ween a certain C-basis for the induced Specht module and the notion of pairs of partitions.
