Objective To investigate the effect of external diaphragm pacemaker（EDP）for mechanical ventilation weaning after *** Included in this study were 40 patients treated with mechanical ventilation after stroke in our ICU between September 2015 and February *** patients were randomly assigned to Normal group（n=20）and EDP group（n=20）.All the patients received routine SBT training with T-tube when meet the requirements according to 2012 Guide on Mechanical Ventilation and *** addition,EDP group was subjected to EDP *** for weaning,rate of endotracheal tube withdrawal,rate of reintubation within 48 h,incidence of respiratory infections and length of ICU stay were compared in the two *** The time for weaning and endotracheal tube withdrawal rate is was significantly decreased in EDP group than that in Normal group（3.85±1.34 d 比 5.21±1.57,P＜0.05;75%比 35%,P＜0.05）.By the way,the length of ICU stay in EDP group was also less than Normal group（7.49±1.22 比 10.08±1.41,P＜0.05）.However,the incidence of respiratory infections between two groups showed no significant *** Combining routine SBT train with EDP therapy can improve self-respiration ability and do help to reduce endotracheal tube withdrawal within 48 h and length of ICU *** measures should be consider to control the incidence of respiratory infections since it’s related to multiple factors like age,aspiration,hand hygiene and so on.

Application Problems and Countermeasures of external diaphragm Pacer in Elderly Patients with Lung Cancer after Surgery

This article summarized the nursing problems and corresponding nursing strategies of 18 cases of external diaphragm pacemakers in the application of elderly patients with lung cancer after thoracic surgery. Timely psychological care, correct operation, close observation and infection prevention during treatment can effectively optimize the use of external diaphragm pacemakers, improve respiratory muscle function, and the quality of life after lung cancer surgery in elderly patients.
