Many engineering applications need to analyse the system dynamics on the macro and micro level,which results in a larger computational *** explicit-implicit asynchronous step algorithm is introduced to solve the structural dynamics in multi-scale both the space domain and time *** discrete FEA model is partitioned into explicit and implicit parts using the nodal partition *** boundary node method is adopted to handle the interface coupled *** coupled region,the implicit Newmark coupled with an explicit predictor corrector Newmark whose predictive wave propagates into the implicit *** the explicit subcycling process,the variables of boundary nodes are solved directly by dynamics equilibrium *** dissipation energy is dynamically determined in accordance with the energy balance checking.A cantilever beam and a building two numerical examples are proposed to verify that the method can greatly reduce the computing time while maintaining a high accuracy.

A PRACTICAL PARALLEL DIFFERENCE SCHEME FOR PARABOLIC EQUATIONS

A practical parallel difference scheme for parabolic equations is constructed as follows:to decompose the domain Ω into some overlapping subdomains, take flux of the last time layer as Neumann boundary conditions for the time layer on inner boundary points of subdomains, solve it with the fully implicit scheme on each subdomain, then take correspondent values of its neighbor subdomains as its values for inner boundary points of each subdomain and mean of its neighbor subdomain and itself at overlapping *** scheme is unconditionally convergent. Though its truncation error is O(T + h), the convergent order for the solution can be improved to O(T + h^2).
