With the development of China’s economy,environmental pollution has become cumulatively *** primary source of environmental pollution is thermal power generation,which has attracted the attention of governments and academia in recent *** effectively reduce environmental pollution,research should study how to constrain the undesirable output of thermal power plants,that is,to limit the total undesirable output of the plants to a certain fixed ***,few studies have suggested that these undesirable outputs should be fixed-sum ***,no previous research publication about thermal power plants has analyzed their environmental performance *** address these gaps,a novel Malmquist-DEA approach is proposed for evaluate the environmental performance of thermal power plants in this *** approach generalizes the equilibrium efficient frontier DEA model with fixed-sum undesirable outputs and incorporates the model into the Malmquist productivity index(MPI).The authors apply this approach to the analysis of provincial thermal power plant environmental performance in China and analyze such plants’trends based on panel data from2011 to *** empirical research shows that the environmental performance of regional thermal power plants was positively affected by efficiency change and negatively affected by technical ***,the authors provide policy suggestions based on our findings.

Empirical Research on the Relationship between Best Corporation Practices and environmental performance

In recent years, China’s economy has entered a stage of rapid development, but the problem of ecological environment is increasingly serious. The causes of haze in most cities in China are the smoke, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides emitted in the process of thermal power enterprises’ production and operation. In order to ensure that the profits can maintain growth in an environmental-friendly way, thermal power enterprises must consider the impact of environmental performance in the process of production, operation and management supervision. According to the framework of the environmental performance evaluation system under the selected GRI standards, this article discusses the construction of the environmental performance evaluation index system of thermal power enterprises, and organizes five representative and comprehensive environmental performance evaluation indicators. In the term of evaluation method, this article adopts the coefficient of variation method to analyze and determine the specific weight of each index. At the same time, the environmental performance scores of enterprises are calculated by combining the normalization of data and the decimal method. We make a descriptive analysis of environmental performance scores and compare the scores of eight selected listed thermal power companies horizontally. Finally, this paper draws research conclusions and puts forward policy recommendations.

Is the adoption of best practice in business associated with improved environmental performance？ And what methods can he used to assess and compare the environmental practices and performance of different companies？ In this paper, through case anatysis, the business environmental practices and performance of five companies in the manufacturing sector were examined and scored. Assessing these companies practices and performance according to “The best practice model” designed by Australian Manufacturing Council （AMC. 1994）. The finding shows that there is strong correlation between environmental practices and performance of companies （r=0.85, p〈0.05）, and indicates that corporate paying attention to environmental issue will improve its all performances in business.

The White Paper published in 2011, Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area [1], urges on a 30% modal shift of road freight over 300 km to other modes (rail, maritime and inland waterways) by 2030, and more than 50% by 2050. However the environmentally friendly performance of maritime transport regarding air pollutant emissions in comparison with road transport is in doubt. This paper presents a three dimension simulation model, in which performed transport work, arisen emissions and produced impact are estimated and inter-related for the assessment of the environmental performance of both road and maritime transport. The simulation model will be a valuable decision making tool for policymakers as it enables the precise assessment of considered transport alternatives in the EU27 until 2020, and hence supports the design of future intervening actions.

The second half of the 20th century was characterized by an increasing interest in the pace of economic growth and its impact on the environment. As a result, the concept of eco-efficiency as a philosophy of management has arisen, which combines the excellence of the environment and business. This paper uses the distribution-free approach to provide empirical evidence in relation to the eco-efficiency paradigm by studying the relation between environmental performance （measured by the level of emissions of air-contaminating substances） and economic performance （approximated by economic efficiency）, in 199 companies from mineral manufacturing industry in Spain between 2004 and 2007. The empirical analysis shows that the results are consistent with the paradigm of eco-efficiency and therefore it can be concluded that being responsible for the environment is positively related to economic efficiency.

Green supply chain is one of the trends of industry development. And performance measurement is the key to implementing the supply chain. So it is necessary to evaluate the environmental performance of supply chain .According to the connotation of green supply chain and the standards of environmental management, this paper designs green performance measurement systems which is composed of four main factors such as waste emissions and exposure hazard, resource utilization, product recovery, and environmental reputation. And the authors delve deeply these factors so that it forms a two-level measurement system. Then the effect on the traditional performance measurement of supply chain is studied after taking greening to the supply chain leveL At last the authors apply the method of multi-level fuzzy judgment to the environmental performance measurement system. An example is given to show the judgment process.

在全球气候变化与可持续发展需求日益迫切的背景下，绿色债券作为推动绿色金融发展和促进经济向低碳转型的重要金融工具，其市场快速发展的同时，也面临着标准不一、市场机制待完善、风险评估体系缺失等挑战。本综述通过对近年来国内外绿色债券在促进绿色技术创新、环境绩效提升、企业价值增加、市场溢出效应以及政策建议等多维度的研究文献进行综合分析，揭示了绿色债券在不同应用场景下的实际成效与存在的问题。研究发现，绿色债券对提升企业绿色创新和环境绩效有显著正面影响，其市场溢出效应有助于降低同行业企业融资成本并提升整体环保行动，但市场发展受制于标准不统一、认证机制不完善等障碍。因此，构建统一的绿色标准体系、加强政策激励与市场机制建设、完善信息披露与风险管理，对于推动绿色债券市场健康发展至关重要。本综述为政策制定者、市场参与者及学术研究提供了系统性的参考框架，以促进绿色债券市场的进一步成熟与全球绿色金融的协同发展。

Outward Foreign Direct Investment(OFDI)is a crucial decision in the internationalization strategy of firms and they confront diversified environmental policies and practices of host countries,when engaging in cross-border ***,there is a lack of research to investigate whether foreign direct investment(OFDI)is an important factor affecting the environmental commitment of *** study aims to empirically analyze the impact and mechanism by which firm outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)influences pro-environmental commitments,utilizing data collected from Chinese listed companies between 2010 and *** results show:1)there is a significant positive relationship between firm OFDI and pro-environmental commitments;2)mechanistic tests show that the OFDI can promote pro-environmental commitments through two channels:public attention and technological learning capacity;3)heterogeneity analysis reveals that the green effects of OFDI are more pronounced firms with institutional investors and state ownership,as well as in firms situated in host countries with more stringent environmental regulations;4)further analysis reveals OFDI-induced greater green commitments generated real environmental and economic outcomes:firms invested more in environmental protection and reduced CO_(2)*** the meantime,they experienced lower excessive debt risk and higher innovative *** findings have positive implications for the promotion of firms’pro-environmental behavior and sustainable development.

In the context of ongoing densification of cities and aging urban populations,public spaces are a crucial infrastructure to support the physical and mental wellbeing of urban *** design of public space furniture elements is often standardised,and not considered in relation to environmental conditions and mechanisms of social *** article presents a digital workflow to generate site-specific designs for shaded public seating,considering the relationships of local public places to their surroundings.A strategy for customised and site-specific design is developed through the use of multiple software tools,employing evolutionary algorithms and multi-objective *** method is applied to a small public space canopy prototype installed within a public housing estate in Hong Kong,incorporating additional criteria to achieve a low-cost and light-weight *** multiple stages of refinement and optimisation,a material,structural and social performance-driven outcome was achieved that creates a shaded space for public seating,people watching and social *** part of a larger research agenda exploring architectural form-finding and environmental psychology,the project represents potential new applications in the emerging field of socially driven computational design.
