Rice is the prominent food grain required by more than half of the world's population to fulfill their nutritional *** the continuous growth in the population at the global level,rice production has also been ***,high rice production also creates a new problem in waste management *** straw,generated after rice harvest,possesses meager nutritional value,due to which it is less preferred as fodder and burned in the *** burning is one of the major causes of air pollution,leading to lung,heart,eye,and skin-related diseases and even premature *** stubble burning also decreases soil *** this review article,we have discussed the various economic uses of paddy straw which will help to reduce air pollution through the decline in paddy straw *** is produced from paddy straw,which can be mixed into the soil to restore fertility and reduce toxic metals'*** generation of biofuels such as biobutanol,bioethanol,and biogas from rice straw with their mechanism of synthesis is also discussed in this *** straw can also be utilized in the preparation of solid *** with this,mushroom cultivation in paddy straw houses is also *** straw can be used for the pulp and paper industries,which will help to reduce the tree dependence of these *** from this,a bibliometric analysis of the Scopus database on rice straw uses for the last 20 years was done,including a bibliographic keyword analysis to show published documents'*** review will give an elaborated overview of the alternative uses of rice straw with a quantitative analysis of air pollution caused by paddy straw *** review will also help to improve the current uses of paddy straw for industrial and commercial benefits to make it more economical.

Aerosol leads to 30% reduction in solar radiation reaching the earth’s surface, and a similar reduction in crops yield for both wheat and rice. To determine the effect of aerosol wet deposition on crops, aerosol samples were collected in September, 2006 at Xi’an urban suburb （34 44 N, 109 49 E）, and wheat seedlings were treated with aerosol of different concentrations in laboratory conditions. Changes in physiological and biochemical parameters of wheat seedlings were measured. In comparison with the control, the activities of superoxide dismudase （SOD） and catalase （CAT） and the concentration malondialdehyde （MDA） and oxidized glutathione （GSSG） of wheat seedlings increased progressively with increasing concentrations of added aerosol, while the opposite trend was seen for the activities of nitric oxide synthase （NOS）, the concentrations of glutathione （GSH） and nitric oxide （NO）, and the ratio of GSH/GSSG. When the seedlings were treated with the aerosol of 1 and 2 mg/L, the coleoptile elongation, shoot elongation and biomass accumulation were increased, the effect at treatment of 2 mg/L was most significant. However, aerosol treatments with rates of 3 and 4 mg/L resulted in a decrease in coleoptile elongation, shoot elongation and biomass accumulation in seedlings, and significant effect was for the treatment of 4 mg/L. Hence, lower concentrations of aerosol wet deposition were in favor of crops growth, but its higher concentrations could result in deleterious effects for crops and decreased crops growth.

Shale gas and tight gas exploration and extraction processes create potential threats to the *** Poland,no comprehensive guidelines for environmental risk assessment have been prepared so *** paper presents a proposal of environmental risk assessment methodology which can be used for corporate risk management procedures during exploration and extraction of unconventional hydrocarbons in *** most frequent environmental threats that may occur during the exploration and exploitation of unconventional hydrocarbon deposits include degradation of soils through construction of drilling rigs and access roads,landforms change,local soil pollution caused by fuels,cleaning agents and materials used to prepare drilling fluids,rubble,cement,gravel,pollution of surface and underground water as a result of emergency discharges of sewage,infiltration of pollution from waste reservoirs,disturbance of hydrogeological equilibrium through significant water intake,noise and atmospheric pollution resulting from the combustion of *** check the level of these threats' six exploration sites form Pomeranian and Carpathian region of Poland(3 wells of shale gas and 3 wells of tight gas) have been evaluated in detail,and the risk quantification has been *** of a local,short-term and reversible environment impact,the environmental risks for the exploration and extraction processes of unconventional hydrocarbons have been found to be medium or negligibly *** is recommended that using the same methodology for other regions of Poland where we can find unconventional hydrocarbons and it can be enriched in dedicated application with spatial maps to give the investors a quick feedback on the potential environmental risks.

environmental risk due to excessive residual emission is rising. Greenhouse effect, ice melting in the Arctic, reduction of air quality are several concerns which need immediate development and change. Energy harvesting equipment is one of the key solutions. environment potential, e.g. water resource can be collaborated with mechanical equipment to harvest clean energy. Savonius turbine has been proposed and studied for this purpose and can be placed on several energy resources, i.e. water and wind. Still, real-world implementation of this technology is lacking,especially in tropical archipelago countries which have abundant water resources. In this work,assessment of Savonius turbine technology as instrument to harvest clean energy is conducted. A series of development on the turbine performance and technical modification is considered as reference to implement the technology in water and open air environments. It is noted that rotor design, operation depth and nozzle attachment are several key influencing factors.
