＜正＞A Morlet-like wavelet cluster-based method for band-pass filtering and envelope demodulation is described.Via appropriate choice of wavelet parameters, a wavelet cluster combined with multi-Morlet-like wavelets can be used as a band-pass filter with zero phase shift,flat topped pass-band and rapid attenuation in the transition band.It can be used to extract high frequency natural vibration components.The imaginary part of the Morlet-like wavelet cluster is the Hilbert transform of its real part.This can be used to implement envelope demodulation and extract the envelope component of the high frequency resonance band.The method is applied for fault diagnosis relating to bearing defects in a dry vacuum pump.it is shown that the fault characteristic frequencies can be extracted effectively. The efficacy of the method is demonstrated in experimental studies.

Fault diagnosis for gearboxes based on Fourier decomposition method and resonance demodulation

Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of gearboxes play an important role in the maintenance of mechanical systems.The vibration signal of gearboxes is characterized by complex spectral structure and strong time variability,which brings challenges to fault feature extraction.To address this issue,a new demodulation technique,based on the Fourier decomposition method and resonance demodulation,is proposed to extract fault-related information.First,the Fourier decomposition method decomposes the vibration signal into Fourier intrinsic band functions(FIBFs)adaptively in the frequency domain.Then,the original signal is segmented into short-time vectors to construct double-row matrices and the maximum singular value ratio method is employed to estimate the resonance frequency.Then,the resonance frequency is used as a criterion to guide the selection of the most relevant FIBF for demodulation analysis.Finally,for the optimal FIBF,envelope demodulation is conducted to identify the fault characteristic frequency.The main contributions are that the proposed method describes how to obtain the resonance frequency effectively and how to select the optimal FIBF after decomposition in order to extract the fault characteristic frequency.Both numerical and experimental studies are conducted to investigate the performance of the proposed method.It is demonstrated that the proposed method can effectively demodulate the fault information from the original signal.

Fault Diagnosis of a Rotor Based on a Lifting Wavelet and Local Wave

Aiming at the mode mixture in local wave decomposition（LWD） caused by a noise signal, the original data is preprocessed using the lifting wavelet transformation to suppress abnormal interference of noise and improve the quality of decomposition. It is employed to analyze the vibration signal of rotor rub-impact for extracting the weak impulsive feature. The signal is decomposed into intrinsic mode functions by LWD, then the high-frequency components are analyzed by Hilbert envelop demodulation. The period of the impulse response can be achieved, and the modulate fault feature of the vibration signal of a rotor system with rub-impact fault can be extracted exactly. Analysis results show that the proposed method is accurate and efficient, and is expected to be applied in engineering practice effectively.
