In China’s higher education system,the faculty and teaching quality of private colleges and universities have been consistently enhanced,as they play an essential role in the training of professional *** the context of“Internet+”and through a detailed analysis of the cross-cultural competence of english teachers in private colleges and universities in China,this paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of cultivating college teachers’cross-cultural thinking to constantly optimize and perfect the strategies for cross-cultural competence,as well as improve the practical application level of english teachers’cross-cultural knowledge theory,so that english teachers can be exposed to the latest educational ideas,constantly broaden their cultural horizons,strengthen professional sensitivity and environmental adaptability,pay attention to local culture,optimize critical thinking,and improve cultural literacy,thus laying a solid foundation for an all-round experience of cross-cultural communication.

Based on the questionnaires and interviews, this paper, in terms of target needs and learning needs, analyses the needs of professional development of the middle school english teachers in rural areas of western China. The analysis shows that all the subjects need to improve the Basic english language skills and knowledge. In-service training and retraining are the effective ways to help develop their professionalism, but due to the limitations of all kinds of obstacles, their learning needs cannot be met. Only by the concerted efforts by the society and the teachers themselves, the problems arising in their professional development can be solved.

With deepening of higher education reform in China and the pursuit of characteristics of school-running by various colleges and universities, english teachers in local medical colleges and universities are faced with great occupational pressure different from english teachers in other kinds of colleges and universities. By analyzing english teachers' pressure from teaching, scientific research, individual development and economical life, the paper puts forward a proposal from the perspective of english teachers and colleges to reduce english teachers' professional pressure in local medical universities, so as to provide reference for other english teachers' development in similar medical colleges and realize the sustainable development of english teachers and higher medical education in China.

Through teaching journals,teachers can actively conduct true and continuous record,description,reflection,and summary of experiences and teaching behaviors with reflection and research value in their own teaching activities in order to make progress in regard to their teaching skills and classroom *** is an effective way and tool to improve english teachers9 reflective practice in teaching along with their own professional development as well as to promote the role transformation as reflective *** the widespread concern of the reflective practice in teaching along with the fact that teaching journals are effective in reflective teaching,this paper explores this topic and suggests several implications for teaching via documentation and a case analysis of three samples obtained from an actual teacher's teaching journal.

With the wide spread of english in the global context, scholars increasingly call for the reshaping of english education towards teaching english as an international language. One oft-mentioned proposal is to increase students＇ exposure to more english varieties, in particular the variety of english used in their country or region. Against this backdrop, this study investigated the attitudes of Chinese university students and teachers towards China english （CE）, an emerging variety in China and the ideological underpinnings beneath their attitudinal responses. In the study, 33 english teachers and 31 students were asked to first evaluate the understandability and acceptability of CE features that are identified in literature and then provide reasons justifying their choices in a questionnaire survey. Results show that both teacher and student participants were reluctant to accept CE as a legitimate variety but their attitudes diverged as regards specific CE features. The in-depth exploration of their justifications revealed that native speaker english ideology, Chinglish stigma and the communicativeness of CE to the outside world were their major concerns in evaluating CE. Findings in this study have implications for educators who attempt to localize english language teaching.

The concept of ＂equality＂ and the importance of ＂rational and critical thinking＂ are essential components of humanism. New english Curriculum for Chinese Primary Schools and Junior/Senior High Schools indicates english is not only a ＂Tool＂, but also carries information and features of ＂Humanism＂. This article conducted one year-long qualitative case study of three high school english teachers from different districts in Beijing. Data were collected through class observation, teachers＇ office observation, and interviews with teachers, students, and parents Data analysis followed qualitative procedures. Findings show that the three english teachers do not have strong awareness of humanism： None of them believes students and teachers are equal. Two teachers incorporate ＂rational and critical thinking＂ when they work as head teachers, but neither applies it when they serve as english teachers. Humanistic education is not prevalent but effective in teachers＇ development training. More relevant trainings are expected to benefit more teachers.

This study uses the literature research method to search the domestic literature on english teacher feedback from 2011 to 2021,and reviews the research on the three main functions of english teacher feedback,namely language function,cognitive function,and emotional function,so as to explore the current situation of domestic research on teacher *** results show that:First,in terms of research methods,the study of teacher feedback mainly adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods,and reveals the characteristics of the use of teacher feedback in Chinese english ***,in terms of research objects,the research on teacher feedback in China is biased towards the research in universities and high school ***,in terms of research perspectives,the study of teacher feedback is mainly conducted from the perspective of classification,characteristics and functions of *** paper also finds existing problems in the current research and prospects for future trends in development for future research.
