Printed-circuit board (PCB) elliptic antennas with useful bandwidth exceeding 10:1 ratio are suitable for wideband radar, wireless ultra wideband (UWB) and other wireless communication applications. We present wideband PCB elliptic dipole antennas which are capable of achieving the bandwidth requirements for all the applications. A set of elliptic dipole antennas with varying eccentricities have been fabricated for demonstration. We find one specific size (specific eccentricity) dipole that can yield an impressive 1.5-16 bandwidth exceeding the currently available. A couple of elliptic dipole antennas suitable for UWB application have been presented. We have measured swept frequency response, impedance and radiation patterns of all dipoles. An empirical formula is given for calculating the starting resonant frequency within the operating band. The calculated values are found in good agreement with measured results.

The article proved the existence of H1 （R） ∩ L∞ （Rn） at the bifurcation λ= 0 by discussing the following nonlinear eigenvalue:—D-（ij）(aij（x,u）Dju) +1/2aiju（x,u）DiuDju — q（x）|u|σu = λu0≠u∈H1（Rn） ,0nMeanwhile the article studied the conditions of q（x） under which λ=0 was a bifurcation point for the nonlinear eigenvalue . Here aij are not required to be bounded as u varies.

In this paper is demonstrated a method for reduction of integer factorization problem to an analysis of a sequence of modular elliptic equations. As a result, the paper provides a non-deterministic algorithm that computes a factor of a semi-prime integer n=pq, where prime factors p and q are unknown. The proposed algorithm is based on counting points on a sequence of at least four elliptic curves y2=x(x2+b2)(modn) , where b is a control parameter. Although in the worst case, for some n the number of required values of parameter b that must be considered (the number of basic steps of the algorithm) substantially exceeds four, hundreds of computer experiments indicate that the average number of the basic steps does not exceed six. These experiments also confirm all important facts discussed in this paper.

In this article, we discuss the approximate method of solving the Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem for nonlinear uniformly elliptic complex equation of first order (0.1) with the boundary conditions (0.2) in a multiply connected unbounded domain D, the above boundary value problem will be called Problem A. If the complex Equation (0.1) satisfies the conditions similar to Condition C of (1.1), and the boundary condition (0.2) satisfies the conditions similar to (1.5), then we can obtain approximate solutions of the boundary value problems (0.1) and (0.2). Moreover the error estimates of approximate solutions for the boundary value problem is also given. The boundary value problem possesses many applications in mechanics and physics etc., for instance from (5.114) and (5.115), Chapter VI, [1], we see that Problem A of (0.1) possesses the important application to the shell and elasticity.

This paper mainly concerns oblique derivative problems for nonlinear nondivergent elliptic equations of second order with measurable coefficients in a multiply connected domain. Under certain condition, we derive a priori estimates of solutions. By using these estimates and the fixed-point theorem, we prove the existence of solutions.

Within the framework of the UrQMD model, by tracing the number of initial quarks in protons, we study the elliptic flow of protons with 3, 2, 1, 0 initial quarks and anti-protons in Au+Au collisions at SNN^(1/2)= 7.7, 11.5, 39,200 GeV. The difference of elliptic flow between protons with 2, 1, 0 initial quarks and anti-protons is smaller than 0,or consistent with 0, respectively. The difference of elliptic flow between transported protons(with 3 initial quarks)and anti-protons is larger than 0 at 7.7, 11.5 and 39 GeV. This is in good agreement with the STAR results at 7.7 and 11.5 GeV, but overestimates the STAR results at 39 GeV. The yield of transported protons with 3 initial quarks is smaller than of protons with 2 and 1 initial quarks, and v_2 of all protons is much smaller than the STAR results. The observation of the v_2 difference of elliptic flow between transported protons and anti-protons in the UrQMD model partly explains the difference between protons and anti-protons observed in the Beam Energy Scan program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider(RHIC).
