We study ^（87）Rb Bose-einstein condensation（BEC） loading into the pulse of the one-dimensional（1D） optical lattice *** lattice is turned on abruptly,held constant for a variable time,and then turned off *** measurement of the depth of the optical lattice is obtained by Kapitza-Dirac *** temporal matter-wave-dispersion Talbot effect with ^（87）Rb BEC is observed by applying a pair of pulsed standing waves（as pulsed phase gratings） with the separation of a variable delay.

Coherence of a squeezed sodium atom laser generated from Raman output coupling

The coherence of a squeezed sodium atom laser generated from a Raman output coupler, in which the sodium atoms in Bose-einstein condensate （BEC） interact with two light beams consisting of a weaker squeezed coherent probe light and a stronger classical coupling light, is investigated. The results show that in the case of a large mean number of BEC atoms and a weaker probe light field, the atom laser is antibunching, and this atom laser is second-order coherent if the number of BEC atoms in traps is large enough.

Effects of spacing on dynamics of two coupled Bose-einstein condensates in two finite traps

Interaction between two coupled Bose-einstein condensates （BECs） is investigated by the variational approach in two finite traps, and the effects of the spacing between the two traps on dynamics of the two BECs are analyzed. The spacing determines the stable condition of stationary states, affects the existence condition of each BEC, and changes the switching and self-trapping effects on the two BECs. The dynamic mechanism is demonstrated by performing a coordinate of classical particle moving in an effective potential field, and confirmed by the evolution of the atom population transferring ratio.
