This paper is attempted to develop a set of suitable principles and methodologies for urban ecological planning of land use,to analyze the ecological suitability of different kinds of land use patterns of Tianjin City, to help local decision makers to work out concrete ecological strategies for promoting a sound development of the city and for improving the life quality of the citizens, and to provide the decision makers with a new approach for solving the environmental problems brought about by the improper mixture of industry and residence.

This paper described the main four basic models of ideal landscape in the Mount Lushan National Park as Kunlunshan model, Xumishan model, Peach flower land model, Christian model. Five typical places in Mount Lushan with the ideal landscape characteristics like the East Grove Temple, White Deer Cave Academy, Simplicity and Tranquility Monastery, Lushan Valley, and Villa-cluster of the East Valley were analyzed, and the integration of the basic models for each place was discussed to make the realistic landscape conform to the ideal needs. Moreover, the discussions also involved the characteristics of ideal landscape that are featured in resource, culture, structure, function, process, scale and region. In conclusion, ideal landscape in the Mount Lushan National Park was the product of the interaction between human and nature. Mount Lushan inherits the essence of Chinese traditional culture with a history of more than 1000 years; and it also absorbs the manna of the Western culture as well as the exchanges between nature and humanities together with the conflict and adaptation among different cultures. The natural landscape could be satisfied with the survival demand and cultural taste of mankind by the way of ecological planning.

The geological environment is the basis of ecological planning. In this article, the factor analysis combined with Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and GIS(geographic information technology) was used. The method sets geological disasters, landform type,surface slope, soil type and erosion as ecological suitability of geology factor; distribution of surface water,precipitation distribution,hydraulic engineering and degree of groundwater development as ecology suitability of water resources. Huairou, located in Beijing, was set as an example through the method. The article evaluated the suitability of the geological environment to ecology and solved quantitative description about the key technologies of the degree of influence to ecology which is affected by the geological environment. In the end, a theoretical guidance and a kind of technical method of establishing a scientific ecological planning system and guiding ecological planning were provided.

Spartina alterniflora is a major invasive plant in the coastal tideland of China that has serious negative impact on local economy and *** paper took Hugang New Town in Xiangshan County,Zhejiang Province for example,concluded the method of controlling *** by integrating mechanical mowing and hydraulic reclamation in view of the threatening expansion of this species and serious land shortage in the local ***,it explored the ecological planning method of reclamation area based on this *** view of the ecological sensitivity of the reclamation area,urban ecological planning concept was introduced into both processes of the development:penetrative reclamation and urban *** reclamation project has to meet such requirements as site selection,scope,water surface ratio etc.,the planning ensures the ecological sustainability in functional orientation,spatial structure,green space system and development intensity.

The first area in China to which the McHargian approach to landscape planning was applied was the Hangzhou Bay area on the central coast. Using published maps and documents and analyzing remote sensing data, an ecological inventory (GIS) was first developed. Based on these data, several criteria for land and water use suitability evaluation were produced. These were then overlayed to evaluate the entire region for several categories of land and water uses, and a suitability synthesis map was produced. This map became the basis for developing several possible concepts and plans for the sustainable development of the region. It is a timely and much needed approach in a rapidly developing country like China if development is to fulfill both present needs and allow future generations to fulfill theirs too.

Land surface temperature(LST)is a significant component of the ecological health of any city and the LST is closely related to the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI).The present study evaluates the seasonal variability of the relationship of LST with NDVI by using a large dataset of Landsat sensors for different seasons from 1991-92 to ***’s correlation coefficient technique was used to obtain the LST-NDVI *** study also compares the ecological and thermal status of the city by applying the urban thermal field variance index(UTFVI).The results found that the mean LST increased *** post-monsoon season produces the best correlation(−0.59),followed by the monsoon season(−0.53),pre-monsoon season(−0.45),and winter season(−0.22).Apart from this relationship,the ecological status of the city has also been *** an equal portion of lands are under the excellent and worst categories of ecological *** study is beneficial for future ecological planning in any tropical city.
