Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of point application with De Huang(Rhizome Rhei Crude)powder at Shenque(CV 8)plus moxa-salt hot compress on the umbilicus for preventing gastrointestinal adverse reactions after chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL).Methods:A total of 60 cases with NHL under chemotherapy were divided into two groups by hospitalization order,with 30 cases in each *** control group was treated with routine nursing and the observation group was additionally given point application with Da Hueng(Rhizome Rhei Crude)powder plus moxa-salt hot compress on the umbilicus,to compare the effect in preventing gastrointestinal adverse reactions after chemotherapy between the two ***:The occurrence rates of constipation,nausea,vomiting and poor appetite on the second day and fifth day after chemotherapy were obviously lower in the observation group than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences between the two groups(all P〈0.05).Conclusion;The point application with De Hueng(Rhizome Rhei Crude)powder at Shenque(CV 8)plus maxa-salt hot compress on the umbilicus can produce more significant efficacy in preventing the gastrointestinal adverse reactions after chemotherapy for NHL than routine ***,it is simple and easy to be used and popularized.

The incidence of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) - Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) - has been increasing on a global scale, and progressively, more gastroenterologists will be included in the diagnosis and treatment of IBD. Although IBD primarily affects the intestinal tract, extraintestinal manifestations of the disease are often apparent, including in the oral cavity, especially in CD. Specific oral manifestations in patients with CD are as follows: indurate mucosal tags, cobblestoning and mucogingivitis, deep linear ulcerations and lip swelling with vertical fissures. The most common non-specific manifestations, such as aphthous stomatitis and angular cheilitis, occur in both diseases, while pyostomatitis vegetans is more pronounced in patients with UC. Non-specific lesions in the oral cavity can also be the result of malnutrition and drugs. Malnutrition, followed by anemia and mineral and vitamin deficiency, affects the oral cavity and teeth. Furthermore, all of the drug classes that are applied to the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases can lead to alterations in the oral cavity due to the direct toxic effects of the drugs on oral tissues, as well as indirect immunosuppressive effects with a risk of developing opportunistic infections or bone marrow suppression. There is a higher occurrence of malignant diseases in patients with IBD, which is related to the disease itself and to the IBD-related therapy with a possible oral pathology. Treatment of oral lesions includes treatment of the alterations in the oral cavity according to the etiology together with treatment of the primary intestinal disease, which requires adequate knowledge and a strong cooperation between gastroenterologists and specialists in oral medicine.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Fufang Huangqi decoction(复方黄杞汤剂) in combination with pyridostigmine bromide tablets, prednisone, and tacrolimus in the treatment of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ myasthenia gravis(MG) through changes in the clinical symptom scores of 100 patients with type Ⅰ and Ⅱ MG. This study also aimed to examine dose reductions and discontinuation of these 3 Western medicines after administration of Fufang Huangqi decoction. METHODS: The clinical data on 100 patients with type I or II MG who were treated in the outpatient department of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China, between June 2017 and June 2020 were collected. The patients were divided into 4 groups based on whether they had taken pyridostigmine bromide tablets, prednisone, and/or tacrolimus at the time of their hospital visit: the Fufang Huangqi decoction group(group A), the pyridostigmine bromide tablets + Fufang Huangqi decoction group(group B), the pyridostigmine bromide tablets + prednisone + Fufang Huangqi decoction group(group C), and the pyridostigmine bromide tablets + tacrolimus + Fufang Huangqi decoction group(group D). The average treatment time was(15.6 ± 11.5) months(range: 0.5-55 months). Changes in the clinical symptom scores of the 4 groups of patients after medication administration and dose reductions and discontinuation of the 3 Western medicines were analyzed. RESULTS: An overall effectiveness rate of 86.00% was achieved in the 100 patients after treatment for(15.6 ± 11.5) months(range 0.5-55 months). The effectiveness rates were 85.71% in group A, 88.24% in group B, 76.92% in group C, and 80.00% in group D. The dosage of pyridostigmine bromide was reduced for 69.12% of the patients in group B for the first time after(4.2 ± 4.1) months, and 45.59% of the patients in group B discontinued pyridostigmine bromide after(8.8 ± 6.1) months. Objective： To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking of Chinese medicine at Shenque （CV 8） for preventing spleenstomach disharmony caused by venous analgesia pump. Methods： A total of 120 post-surgery patients using venous analgesia pump and also conforming to the inclusion criteria were randomized into 2 groups by the random number table. There were 58 patients in the control group who received conventional post-surgery nursing care, and there were 62 patients in the treatment group who received acupoint sticking at Shenque （CV 8） on the basis of conventional nursing care. After treatment, the incidences of postoperative nausea and vomiting, and abdominal bloating were measured. Results： The total incidence of nausea, vomiting and abdominal bloating in the treatment group was 11.3%, versus 39.7% in the control group, and the difference of the incidence between the two groups showed a statistical significance （P〈0.05）. In comparison of the severity of spleen-stomach dishormony which happened during 72 h after surgery, cases in the treatment group showed lower severity than those in the control group （P〈0.05）. Conclusion： Acupoint sticking at Shenque （CV 8） can effectively prevent spleen-stomach disharmony caused by venous analgesia pump, which will alleviate sufferings of the patients.

Objective： To observe the therapeutic effect of scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture in treating cancer patients with intractable hiccups after radiochemotherapy. Methods; Thirty-two cancer patients with intractable hiccups after radiochemotherapy who met the inclusion criteria were selected. The Line 2 Lateral to Forehead （MS 3） of scalp stimulation areas as well as body acupoints including Danzhong （CV 17）, Zhongwan （CV 12）, bilateral Cuanzhu （BL 2）, Neiguan （PC 6）, Zusanli （ST 36） and Taichong （LR 3） were punctured. The treatment was given once a day, 5 treatments constituted a course, and the efficacy was evaluated after 2 treatment courses. Results： After 10 treatments, 26 cases were cured, 4 cases were improved, and 2 cases were invalid, and the total effective rate was 93.8%. Conclusion： Scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture in treating intractable hiccups in cancer patients after radiochemotherapy has reliable therapeutic effect, and it is easy-to-operate and can effectively alleviate the suffering of patients with less adverse reaction.
