Diversity and distribution of soil micro-fungi along an elevation gradient on the north slope of Changbai Mountain

Elevational changes in patterns of diversity are important to understanding of the influence of global changes, yet few studies have addressed the distribution of microorganisms, e.g. soil micro-fungi. We studied the diversity of the forest soil micro-fungi in four vegetation belts along an elevation gradient on the north slope of Changbai Mountain in Changbai National Nature Reserve. The four belts were characterized as coniferous-deciduous mixed forest, coniferous forest, Erman's birch forest, and alpine tundra. We estimated the quantity and distribution of the fungal species in each belt and calculated three indices, viz. Shannon-Wiener diversity (H'), Pielou's evenness (J'), and Margalef's abundance (E), to depict fungal species diversity. A total of 932 strains were recorded and identified, representing 53 genera, and 108 species. Among these, Penicillium, Aspergillus, Trichoderma, Mucor, Rhizopus and Fusarium were the dominant genera. With increasing elevation, the quantity of fungi and values of H', E, and J' gradually declined.

What Hinders the Way of Chinese to Be an English Master——Concerning Differences between English and Chinese

What hinders the way of Chinese to be an English master？ The issue has been puzzling language learners for many years. This paper, by discussing some similarities and diversities between English and Chinese, offers an approach to understand the two languages in full length. A brief analysis about the features of English and Chinese by way of linguistics, cultural comparison, and cognition shows that in learning English or Chinese, one should follow its rules and laws, and figure out its corresponding expressions under the condition that the tone, the attitude, the stress of the text are greatly emphasized and taken into consideration. Bewar.e of these laws between the two languages will make learning easier. Meanwhile, this paper also offers a translation tip differences and awareness after the discussion of each topic about the features of English and Chinese as regarding they may serve as some useful tips in translation.

Based on the findings from a background questionnaire administered to Chinese and *** students,this paper describes a number of similarities and diversities concerning body language between the peoples of China and the *** purpose is to understand how important it is to know the specific gestures that often accompany ones knowledge of a *** is suggested that the study of body language should be complementary to the study of English as a second *** the correct body language can make communication with Americans easier and better.
