Multi-Scale Prediction of RUL and SOH for Lithium-Ion Batteries Based on WNN-UPF Combined Model

The prediction of Remaining useful life(RUL) and the estimation of State of health(SOH) are extremely important issues for operating performance of Lithium-ion(Li-ion) batteries in the Battery management system(BMS). A multi-scale prediction approach of RUL and SOH is presented, which combines wavelet neural network(WNN) with Unscented particle filter(UPF)model. The capacity degradation data of Li-ion batteries are decomposed into the low-frequency degradation trend and high-frequency fluctuation components by discrete wavelet transform(DWT). Based on the WNN-UPF model, the long-term RUL of Li-ion batteries is predicted with the low-frequency degradation trend data. The high-frequency fluctuation data and RUL prediction results are integrated effectively to estimate the short-term SOH of Li-ion batteries. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves high accuracy and strong robustness, even if the prediction starting point is set to the early stage of Li-ion batteries’ lifespan.

A novel adaptive watermarking algorithm in discrete wavelet transform （DWT） based on quantization index modulation （QIM） technique is presented. The host image is decomposed into wavelet subbands, and then the approximation subband is divided into non-overlapping small embedding blocks. The secret watermark bit is embedded into singular value vector of each embedding block by applying QIM. To improve the invisibility and robustness of watermarking system, the quantization step for each embedding block is set by combining statistical model with particle swarm optimization （PSO） algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm not only preserves the high perceptual quality, but also effectively stands against joint photographic experts group （JPEG） compression, low-pass filtering, noise addition, scaling, and cropping attacks, etc. The comparison analysis demonstrates that our scheme has better performance than the previously reported watermarking algorithms.

A three-dimensional （3D） wavelet coder based on 3D significance tree splitting is proposed for hyperspectral image compression. 3D discrete wavelet transform （DWT） is applied to explore the spatial and spectral correlations. Then the 3D significance tree structure is constructed in 3D wavelet domain, and wavelet coefficients are encoded via 3D significance tree splitting. TbSs proposed algorithm does not need to use ordered lists, moreover it has less complexity and requires lower fixed memory than 3D set partitioning in hierarchical trees （SPIHT） algorithm and 3D set partitioned embedded block （SPECK） algorithm. The numerical experiments on AVIRIS images show that the proposed algorithm outperforms 3D SPECK, and has a minor loss of performance compared with 3D SPIHT. This algorithm is suitable for simple hardware implementation and can be applied to progressive transmission.

Using power spectral density （PSD） function to specify large aperture optical components＇ quality of laser system is universal. But it cannot provide effective guidance to eliminate certain frequency segment error. In order to solve this problem, two-dimensional discrete wavelet transform （2D-DWT） is used to separate frequency segment error and detect the corresponding region of certain frequency segment error, which is used as feedback to a machining process. The experimental results show that the corresponding region of certain frequency segment can be found and machining can be guided effectively by using wavelet.

Assuring medical images protection and robustness is a compulsory necessity *** this paper,a novel technique is proposed that fuses the wavelet-induced multi-resolution decomposition of the discrete wavelet Transform(DWT)with the energy compaction of the discrete wavelet Transform(DCT).The multi-level Encryption-based Hybrid Fusion Technique(EbhFT)aims to achieve great advances in terms of imperceptibility and security of medical images.A DWT disintegrated sub-band of a cover image is reformed simultaneously using the DCT ***,a 64-bit hex key is employed to encrypt the host image as well as participate in the second key creation process to encode the ***,a PN-sequence key is formed along with a supplementary key in the third layer of the ***,the watermarked image is generated by enclosing both keys into DWT and DCT *** fusions ability of the proposed EbHFT technique makes the best use of the distinct privileges of using both DWT and DCT *** order to validate the proposed technique,a standard dataset of medical images is *** results show higher performance of the visual quality(i.e.,57.65)for the watermarked forms of all types of medical *** addition,EbHFT robustness outperforms an existing scheme tested for the same dataset in terms of Normalized Correlation(NC).Finally,extra protection for digital images from against illegal replicating and unapproved tampering using the proposed technique.

Face recognition issue gained more interest recently due to its various applications and the demand of high *** researches with contradicting results were published concerning this *** paper compared three popular face recognition projection methods:（eigenfaces）,（fisherfaces）,and *** also applied some data transformations:（discrete wavelet and cosine transforms） preceding methods to see their *** researches based their results on the FERET *** and AT＆T databases were used here to see if the same results *** also compared the results of two sets of experiments with the second set using half the training images used in the first to observe if the results may *** conclusion is it can’t be stated that specific algorithm outperforms others,though ICA and Eigenfaces respectively showed better results than fisherfaces for both experiments sets and both *** algorithms with transformations yield better results for some algorithms.
