A digital control of pulsed gas metal arc welding inverter was proposed. A control system consisting of analogue parts was replaced with a new digital control implemented in a TMS320LF2407A DSP chip. The design and constructional features of the whole digital control were presented. The resources of the DSP chip were efficiently utilized and the circuits are very concise, which can enhance the stability and reliability of welding inverter. Experimental results demonstrate that the developed digital control has the ability to accomplish the excellent pulsed gas metal arc welding process and the merits of the developed digital control are stable welding process, little spatter and perfect weld appearance.

The purpose of this paper is to present a novel trajectory prediction method for proximate time-optimal digital control DC-DC converters. The control method provides pre-estimations of the duty ratio in the next several switching cycles, so as to compensate the computational time delay of the control loop and increase the control loop bandwidth, thereby improving the response speed. The experiment results show that the fastest transient response time of the digital DC-DC with the proposed prediction is about 8/μs when the load current changes from 0.6 to 0.1A.

A small-signal model of current programmed mode pulse width modulation converter including the equivalent sampling effect is introduced and analyzed. In this model, an addition pole is brought out by the sampling effect in the current loop gain, and it affects dynamic bandwidth and stability of the inner current loop. By selecting the appropriate stability parameter which determines the additional pole and describes the degree of peaking in closed loop transfer function, a control model of current programmed full bridge arc welding inverter with maximum frequency bandwidth and stability can be obtained. Small and large amplitude pulse current outputs are employed in simulations and experiments and results validate the design method.

Software has been developed for digital control of WDW series testing machine and the measurement of fracture toughness by modularized design. Development of the software makes use of multi-thread and serial communication techniques, which can accurately control the testing machine and measure the fracture toughness in real-time. Three-point bending specimens were used in the measurement. The software operates stably and reliably, expanding the function of WDW series testing machine.

The device switching frequency is low and the output voltage fundamental frequency is high in high power middle frequency 400Hz/115V inverters, so the control bandwidth is limited and it is hard to promise a good waveform quality. The delay induced by the implementation of sampling, computing and PWM during digital control has bad impact on the system transient and steady state performances. In this paper, the cascaded topology with two H-Bridge units which can get a higher equivalent switching frequency and reduce harmonic content in output voltage and P+resonant controller which can eliminate steady state error were adopted in a single-phase inverter. The delay resulting from the processes of sampling, computing and digital PWM was analyzed. The control parameters were designed in the continuous domain design by introduced an equivalent time delay. Finally, the discrete simulation on a single-phase 100kVA, 400Hz/115V inverter model was presented, and the simulation verified the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

＜正＞This paper describes an adaptive scheme based on zero phase error tracking controller（ZPETC） and zero phase prefilter（ZPF） in a digital tracking servo system.The overall system with ZPETC has the following frequency characteristics:the phase is zero for all frequencies;the gain is unity at only zero frequency and about unity for low frequencies.To improve the bandwidth of servo tracking system,then introduce a ZPF ahead of the ZPETC which realizes that:keep zero phase for all frequencies;improve gain characteristics of system.Because the parameters of closed loop system are unknown or varying,the ZPETC and ZPF are implemented in an adaptive control scheme.Simulations result on a dc servo motor with different controllers indicate that,the present adaptive ZPETC and ZPF achieve the best tracking performance where the desired output to be tracked is unknown and the parameters of plant change.

This paper presents a single chip CMOS power amplifier with neutralization capacitors for ZigbeeTM system according to IEEE 802.15.4. A novel structure with digital interface is adopted, which allows the output power ofa PA to be controlled by baseband signal directly, so there is no need for DAC. The neutralization capacitors will increase reverse isolation. The chip is implemented in SMIC 0.18 μm CMOS technology. Measurement shows that the proposed power amplifier has a 13.5 dB power gain, 3.48 dBm output power and 35.1% PAE at P I dB point. The core area is 0.73 × 0.55 mm2.

A digital prediction algorithm for a single-phase boost PFC

A novel digital control algorithm for digital control power factor correction is presented, which is called the prediction algorithm and has a feature of a higher PF （power factor） with lower total harmonic distortion, and a faster dynamic response with the change of the input voltage or load current. For a certain system, based on the current system state parameters, the prediction algorithm can estimate the track of the output voltage and the inductor current at the next switching cycle and get a set of optimized control sequences to perfectly track the trajectory of input voltage. The proposed prediction algorithm is verified at different conditions, and computer simulation and experimental results under multi-situations confirm the effectiveness of the prediction algorithm. Under the circumstances that the input voltage is in the range of 90-265 V and the load current in the range of 20%-100%, the PF value is larger than 0.998. The 0.02 s without overshoot. The experimental results startup and the recovery times respectively are about 0.1 s and also verify the validity of the proposed method.
