The crystal structure of the deuterium(hydrogen) L-arginine phosphate monohydrate D(H)LAP has been determined by neutron diffraction technique.[( D2N)2CND (CH2)3CH (ND3)CO2]+·[D2PO4]1-·D2O,Mr=302.3,monoclinic space group P21,Z=2,α=10.843(3),b=7.913(2),c=7.321(2),β=97.99(3)°,V=622.0(3),Dc=1.602 g/*** atoms were located by block diagonal matrix least-squares technique.A final Rf value of 0.048 was obtained for 1040 observed independent *** crystal structure consists of alternate layers of phosphate groups and arginine molecules stacked along the axis a and held together by hydrogen bonds.

Transmission and diffraction of radiation through a monolayer of monodisperse opaque spherical particles at different particle concentrations are studied theoretically and by numerical calculation. It is found that the transmission and the diffraction pattern are strongly dependent on the receiving aperture and the monolayer density.

diffraction patterns of a rotated grating are investigated from both theoretical and experimental points of view. It is shown that as the grating rotates, the angle of deviation of each diffracted line relative to the incident light goes through a minimum, and that the angle between any two successive diffracted lines goes through a minimum value which is the same for all adjacent diffracted lines. It is also shown that the angle between diffraction lines with n=1 and n=-1 is not sensitive to small variations of the grating from being normal to the incident light. Finally, a method is suggested for determining the line distance of a diffraction grating with high accuracy.

Using coherent light, we analyze the temporal diffraction at a single point from real-time living C. elegans locomotion in three-dimensional space. We describe the frequency spectrum of single swimming nematodes in an optical cuvette at a single sampling point in the far-field diffraction pattern. An analytical expression of the double slit is used to model the frequency spectra of nematodes as oscillating segments. The frequency spectrum in the diffraction pattern expands discretely and linearly as a multiple of the fundamental frequency with increasing distance from the central maximum. The frequency spectrum of a worm at a single point in the frequency spectrum contains all the frequencies involved in the locomotion and is used to characterize and compare nematodes. The occurrence of resonant frequencies in the dynamic diffraction pattern increases with the distance from the central maximum. The regular spacing of the resonant frequencies is used to identify characteristic swimming frequencies.

The four point bending method was applied to measure X ray elastic constants(XEC) of (422) and (331) planes of TiN coating. Elastic Modulus and XECs of all the crystal planes were calculated by Kroner method. The results from the calculation and the experiment were compared. It is concluded that the XECs values of same film prepared by different techniques scatter a little because of the effects of stoichiometric proportion and microstructure of films. [

We propose an iterative reconstruction scheme for optical diffraction tomography that exploits the split-step nonparaxial(SSNP)method as the forward model in a learning tomography *** with the beam propagation method(BPM)previously used in learning tomography(LT-BPM),the improved accuracy of SSNP maximizes the information retrieved from measurements,relying less on prior assumptions about the sample.A rigorous evaluation of learning tomography based on SSNP(LT-SSNP)using both synthetic and experimental measurements confirms its superior performance compared with that of the *** from the accuracy of SSNP,LT-SSNP can clearly resolve structures that are highly distorted in the LT-BPM.A serious limitation for quantifying the reconstruction accuracy for biological samples is that the ground truth is *** overcome this limitation,we describe a novel method that allows us to compare the performances of different reconstruction schemes by using the discrete dipole approximation to generate synthetic ***,we explore the capacity of learning approaches to enable data compression by reducing the number of scanning angles,which is of particular interest in minimizing the measurement time.
