In this paper, we present the uniform interaction potentials for helium atoms and halogen hydride molecules (HF,HC1 and HBr). The differential cross sections are calculated using the above interaction potentials for the He-HF,HCl and HBr systems, respectively, and the results of the calculations are found to be in agreement with the existingtheoretical results and experimental data.

The N＋H2 reaction has attracted a great deal of attention from both the experimental and the theoretical community, and most of the attention has been paid to the first excited state N （2 D） atoms in collisions with hydrogen molecules and the scalar properties of the reaction. In this paper, we study the stereo dynamical properties and calculate the reaction cross sections of the N（4S）＋ H2 （v=0, j=0, 2, 5, 10） → NH（X3∑-）＋ H using the quasi-classical trajectory （QCT） method on an accurate NH2 potential energy surface （PES） reported by Poveda and Varandas [Poveda L A and Varandas A J C 2005 Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 7 28671, in a collision energy range of 25 ***-1 -140 ***-1. Results indicate that the reactant rotational excitation and initial collision energy both have a considerable influence on the distributions of the k-j＇ correlation, the k-k＇-j＇ correlation and k-k＇ correlation. The differential cross section is found to be sensitive to collision energy.

This paper studies the quantum stereodynamics of the F ＋ HD（v = 0, j = 0）→ HD ＋ F/HF ＋ D reaction at the collision energies of 0.52 and 0.87 kcal/mol. The quantum scattering calculations, based on Stark-Werner potential energy surfaces, show that the differential cross sections for the HF（v′= 2）＋ D and DF（v′= 3）＋H channels are consistent with the recent theoretical results. Furthermore, the product rotational angular momentum orientation and alignment have been determined for some selected rovibrational states of the HF＋ D and DF＋ H channels.

Quantum state-to-state dynamics of the N(4S) + H-2(X1+Σ) → NH(X3Σ) + H(2S) reaction is reported in an accurate novel potential energy surface constructed by Zhai et al.(2011 J. Chem. Phys. 135 104314). The time-dependent wave packet method, which is implemented on graphics processing units, is used to calculate the differential cross sections. The influences of the collision energy on the product state-resolved integral cross sections and total differential cross sections are calculated and discussed. It is found that the products NH are predominated by the backward scattering due to the small impact parameter collisions, with only minor components being forward and sideways scattered, and have an inverted rotational distribution and no inversion in vibrational distributions; both rebound and stripping mechanisms exist in the case of high collision energies.

The plasma screening of fast-electron-impact-ionization by excited state（3p） of Hydrogen-like ions was investigated in the first Born approximation with a plasma screening length δ varying from 1000a0 to 10a0. The generalized oscillator strength densities showed dramatic changes： some accessional minima occurred along with a remarkable enhancement in certain continuum-energy domains. The double-differential cross sections exhibit not only the same structures as the Bethe surface for moderate and large momentum transfers, but also a broadened enhancement for small momentum *** single-differential cross sections exhibit a near-zero-energy-enhancement and prodigious multiple-shape resonances,depending on the continuum energy and the plasma screening length. These features are analogous to those of the photoionization cross section. These findings, for both types of cross section, can be explained by processes associated with continuum electrons, as long as the potential has a short-range character.

We report ab initio scattering calculations results of electron-methanethiol collisions using R-matrix approach within the static-exchange and static-exchange-polarization approxima- tions. The calculated elastic integral cross sections are in agreement with the experimental data. Two shape resonances of2A′symmetry located at 4.06 and 8.32 eV are detected within static-exchange-polarization model. For this dipole molecule, Born-closure procedure was used to account for the higher partial waves (l>4) for the convergence of the cross section. The effective collision frequencies over a wide electron temperature range (200?30000 K) are calculated using the data of the momentum-transfer cross section.

The elastic scattering of p-^14Be system at Elab = 200 MeV is evaluated within the relativistic impulse approximation. We discuss the effects of the halo neutrons on the three observables of the elastic scattering system, such as differential cross section dσ/ dΩ, analyzing power Ay and spin rotation Q. The results of the three observables of the elastic scattering of p-^14Be system are compared with those of p-^12C and p-^16O systems at the same energy as E1ab = 200 MeV. We have found that in the small angular region the Ay and Q, as well as dσ/dΩ, are quite sensitive to the nucleon density distributions on the surface of the target nucleus and offer some unique behaviors of halo nuclei.

The interaction potentials between electron and atom play an important role in electron- atom scattering. Using three potential models, the absolute differential cross section has been calculated by the second Born approximation theory. Results show that these model potentials are successful in the laser-assisted e-Ar scattering system. The influence of static potential, exchange potential and polarization potential on the absolute differential cross section is also analyzed and discussed.
