MDKB-Bot:A Practical Framework for Multi-Domain Task-Oriented dialogue system

One of the major challenges to build a task-oriented dialogue system is that dialogue state transition frequently happens between multiple domains such as booking hotels or ***,the encoder-decoder model based on the end-to-end neural network has become an attractive approach to meet this ***,it usually requires a sufficiently large amount of training data and it is not flexible to handle dialogue state *** paper addresses these problems by proposing a simple but practical framework called Multi-Domain KB-BOT(MDKB-BOT),which leverages both neural networks and rule-based strategy in natural language understanding(NLU)and dialogue management(DM).Experiments on the data set of the Chinese Human-Computer dialogue Technology Evaluation Campaign show that MDKB-BOT achieves competitive performance on several evaluation metrics,including task completion rate and user satisfaction.

Humanity has fantasized about artificial intelligence tools able to discuss with human beings fluently for *** efforts have been proposed ranging from ELIZA to the modern vocal *** the large interest in this research and innovation field,there is a lack of common understanding on the concept of conversational agents and general over expectations that hide the current limitations of existing *** work proposes a literature review on the subject with a focus on the most promising type of conversational agents that are powered on top of knowledge bases and that can offer the ground knowledge to hold conversation autonomously on different *** describe a conceptual architecture to define the knowledge-enhanced conversational agents and investigate different domains of *** conclude this work by listing some promising research pathways for future work.

Combating with extremely noisy samples in weakly supervised slot filling for automatic diagnosis

Slot filling,to extract entities for specific types of information(slot),is a vitally important modular of dialogue systems for automatic *** responses can be regarded as the weak supervision of patient *** this way,a large amount of weakly labeled data can be obtained from unlabeled diagnosis dialogue,alleviating the problem of costly and time-consuming data ***,weakly labeled data suffers from extremely noisy *** alleviate the problem,we propose a simple and effective Co-WeakTeaching *** method trains two slot filling models *** two models learn from two different weakly labeled data,ensuring learning from two ***,one model utilizes selected weakly labeled data generated by the other,*** model,obtained by the Co-WeakTeaching on weakly labeled data,can be directly tested on testing data or sequentially fine-tuned on a small amount of human-annotated *** results on these two settings illustrate the effectiveness of the method with an increase of 8.03%and 14.74%in micro and macro f1 scores,respectively.

With the success of new speech-based human-computer interfaces,there is a great need for effective and friendly dialogue agents that can communicate with people naturally and ***,the lack of personality and consistency is one of critical problems in neural dialogue *** this paper,we aim to generate consistent response with fixed profile and background information for building a realistic dialogue *** on the encoder-decoder model,we propose a retrieval mechanism to deliver natural and fluent response with proper information from a profile ***,in order to improve the efficiency of training the dataset related to profile information,we adopt a method of pre-training and adjustment for general dataset and profile *** model is trained by social dialogue data from *** to both automatic and human evaluation metrics,the proposed model significantly outperforms standard encoder-decoder model and other improved models on providing the correct profile and high-quality responses.

dialogue policy learning(DPL)is a key component in a task-oriented dialogue(TOD)*** goal is to decide the next action of the dialogue system,given the dialogue state at each turn based on a learned dialogue *** learning(RL)is widely used to optimize this dialogue *** the learning process,the user is regarded as the environment and the system as the *** this paper,we present an overview of the recent advances and challenges in dialogue policy from the perspective of *** specifically,we identify the problems and summarize corresponding solutions for RL-based dialogue policy *** addition,we provide a comprehensive survey of applying RL to DPL by categorizing recent methods into five basic elements in *** believe this survey can shed light on future research in DPL.
