In recent years, owing to abuse of antibiotics, extensive use of antitumor drugs and immunosuppressive agents and other reasons, an increasing number of people suffered from fungal infection. In this situation, researchers proposed new diagnosis methods,such as G test, galactomannan (GM) test, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). G test is simple, quick, and highly sensitive and can detect multiple fungi; however, it cannot distinguish fungal types and may result in false positive and false negative results. GM test is less time consuming and feature highly positive detection rates but can simply be used in inspection of invasive aspergillosis. However, optimal positive critical values of GM test remain controversial. PCR is currently one of the fastest methods but is not formally used in clinical practice because of its lack of standardized operation and evaluation *** study reviews the above three methods with the aim of discovering and summarizing their advantages and disadvantages to facilitate research and development of new diagnosis methods.

A new online system of monitoring yarn quality and fault diagnosis is presented. This system integrates the technologies of sensor, signal process, communication, network, computer, control, instrument structure and mass knowledge of experts. Comparing with conventional off-line yarn test, the new system can find the quality defects of yarn online in time and compensate for the lack of expert knowledge in manual analysis. It can save a lot of yarn wasted in off-line test and improve product quality. By using laser sensor to sample the diameter signal of yarn and doing wavelet analysis and FFT to extract fault characteristics, a set of reasoning mechanism is established to analyze yarn quality and locate the fault origination. The experimental results show that new system can do well in monitoring yarn quality online comparing with conventional off-line yarn test. It can test the quality of yarn in real-time with high efficiency and analyze the fault reason accurately. It is very useful to apply this new system to upgrade yarn quality in cotton textile industry at present.

As a novel ultrasound diagnostic contrast agent, the preparation, characterization and ultrasound imaging in the body of dog about poly(lactic acid) (PLLA) microcapsules have been studied. The behavior of this kind of contrast agent in the microcirculation was also investigated. Prepared by (water/oil/water) emulsion-solvent evaporation protocol, the PLLA microcapsules with hollow structure can enhance the ultrasound image both in vitro and in vivo, and the enduring time can last as long as 3 h. The microcirculation examination shows that the PLLA microcapsules with a diameter ranging from 2 to 8 mm could pass through the pulmonary capillaries without retention. All the results prove the PLLA microcapsules for potential use for the clinical application.

Immunophenotype is critical for diagnosing common B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (common ALL) and detecting minimal residual disease. We developed a protocol to explore the immunophenotypic profiles of common ALL based on the expression levels of the antigens associated with B lymphoid development, including IL-7Rα (CD127), cytoplasmic CD79a (cCD79a), CD19, VpreB (CD179a), and sIgM, which are successive and essential for progression of B cells along their developmental pathway. Analysis of the immunophenotypes of 48 common ALL cases showed that the immunophenotypic patterns were highly heterogeneous, with the leukemic cell population differing from case to case. Through the comprehensive analysis of immunophenotypic patterns, the profiles of patient-specific composite leukemia cell populations could provide detailed information helpful for the diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring, and individualized therapies for common ALL.

In order to develop the nonlinear echo image system to diagnose pathological changes in biological tissue , a simple physical model to analyse the character of nonlinear reflected wave in biological medium is postulated . The propagation of large amplitude plane sound wave in layered biological media is analysed for the one dimensional case by the method of successive approximation and the expression for the second order wave reflected from any interface of layered biological media is obtained . The relations between the second order reflection coefficients and the nonlinear parameters of medium below the interface are studied in three layers interfaces. Finally, the second order reflection coefficients of four layered media are calculated numerically. The results indicate that the nonlinear parameter B/A of each layer of biological media can be determined by the reflection method.

为提高BP神经网络诊断发动机气路故障的准确率,利用遗传算法对BP神经网络的初始连接权值和阀值在解空间内进化寻优,再将优化结果赋给网络以梯度下降算法进行二次训练,再对待检故障样本进行诊断。结果表明:GA-BP网络在输出精度、收敛速度及收敛曲线平滑性上明显优于普通BP网络,为航空发动机故障诊断领域的研究提出了新的思路和方法,具有一定研究价值。
