Impact of the residues of detergents and disinfectants used in dairy farms on the results of inhibitor tests for raw milk

The aim of the study was to determine the impact of residues of detergents and disinfectants on the results of most commonly used inhibitor tests for raw milk. Microbiological test (Delvotest SP-NT) and three rapid tests (Charm 3 MRL BL/TET2, Charm ROSA MRL BL/TET and Penzym) were used in the study. Three concentrations (recommended by the manufacturer, 10 times lower and twice higher) of 36 detergents and disinfectants in raw milk were investigated. All methods did not detect concentrations of detergents and disinfectants of alkaline and acid origin 10 times lower than recommended by the manufacturer. 39% of the investigated substances of alkaline origin were detected by Delvotest SP-NT and Penzym;Charm tests showed non-typical results only. Delvotest SP-NT did not detect substances of acid origin;Penzym detected 50% of these substances, Charm tests showed only non-typical results. Delvotest SP-NT and Penzym appeared to be more sensitive to the substances used for teat hygiene and disinfection. The scope of rapid tests (receptor or enzymatic) does not cover the detection of detergent and disinfectant re- sidues in milk. However, according to the non-typical results of the test, it is possible to suspect the presence of these substances in milk. McNemar’s and Cochran’s Q tests were used for statistical analysis of the data.

Through tracking the net content of household liquid detergent under different experimental conditions,it was found that the storage temperature,the storage humidity,the packing material,the thickness of the packing material and the inner-packing detergent all had some effects on the net content,and there is a certain relationship between the mass loss and time in a certain storage *** was found that the higher the temperature and the lower the humidity,the greater the mass loss of the household liquid detergent;and The barrier property of the PE bottle is better than that of the PET *** the case of the same material,the thinner the material is,the greater the mass loss will be;Different liquid household detergents have different mass loss under the same storage temperature and humidity conditions,and due to different composition and proportion of the contents,the mass loss of liquid household detergents was different too.

The present study describes the characterization of crude protease extract from Arthrobacter arilaitensis Re117 and its evaluation in solid and liquid detergent. One caseinolytic protease clear band was observed in zymogram. The crude alkaline protease showed optimum activity at pH 9.0 and 50°C, and it was highly stable over a wide range of pH from 8.0 to 9.0. Proteolytic enzymes showed extreme stability towards non-ionic surfactants (Tween 80, Tween 20 and Triton X-100) and stimulate activity towards oxidizing agents such as sodium perborate. They also showed high stability and compatibility with various laundry solid detergents from Tunisian market. The protease of A. arilaitensis Re117, was also tested for shrimp waste deproteinization to produce chitin. The protein removal with a ratio E/S of 20 was about 83%. The novelties of the Re117 protease include its high stability to organic solvents and surfactants. These unique properties make it an ideal choice for application in detergent formulations and enzymatic peptide synthesis. In addition, the enzyme may find potential applications in the deproteinization of shrimp wastes to produce chitin.

To evaluate the safety of detergents,the toxicological test results of 580 collected detergents were *** results showed that,in the acute oral toxicity test,94.4%and 5.6%of the samples were classified as non-toxic and toxic *** skin irritation test,95.1%of the samples were mild irritation or below,and 4.9%were moderate irritation or *** the vaginal mucosa irritation test,79.0%of the samples were very mild irritation or below,while 21.0%were mild irritation or *** the acute inhalation toxicity test,the proportion of the samples classified as actually non-toxic and toxic were 87.9%and 12.1%*** the eye irritation test,95.7%of the samples belonged to mild irritation or below,and 4.3%of the samples belonged to moderate irritation or *** products at risk in category A,B and C products account for 6.3%,7.7%and 14.2%*** the 580 tested samples,90.9%were relatively safe,while 9.1%were at *** data showed that most of the tested samples meet the safety requirements for use.
