Purpose:dental and orofacial trauma among the adult population constitutes a major public health *** impact is not just physical but also *** analyse the impacts of dental and orofacial trauma on oral health-related quality of life(OHRQoL)in adults and determine whether the 2 variables are closely ***:This is a systematic *** terms“dental trauma”,“orofacial trauma”,“oral health”,“oral health related impact life”,“OHRQoL”,“positive and negative affect scale”,“quality of life”,“facial injuries”,“adults”,and“young adults”were researched in the databases of PubMed,ScienceDirect,Scopus and Google Scholar for associated studies up to December 30,2022.A comprehensive search was designed and the articles were independently screened for eligibility by 2 *** included studies’author,year of publication,the country where the study was conducted,population demographics(number and age),an instrument used for assessing OHRQoL and the relevant result were recorded and *** quality of the evidence was assessed using Joanna Briggs Institute checklist for observational ***:Out of 482 unique records,3 articles were included for data *** studies were *** studies did not mention confounding *** scales were used for dental and orofacial trauma and *** has a directly proportional relationship with orofacial *** with orofacial trauma have a significant impact on this value with a prevalence of 88.4%.Conclusion:The highest impact on OHRQoL was seen immediately after the diagnosis of an orofacial *** impact increases with the severity of the ***,to promote overall dental and general health,health education initiatives should include information on the causes,prevention,and requirement for prompt responses by the populace in seeking dental intervention.

BACKGROUND Complicated crown-root fracture is considered a severe dental trauma and is unlikely to heal without ***,dentists have to remove the loose coronal fragment of the fractured tooth and treat the remaining part with multidisciplinary ***,we observed spontaneous healing of fracture in two pediatric cases with a history of complicated crown-root fractures over 4 years *** SUMMARY In case 1,a 12-year-old boy complained of pain at tooth 11 following an accidental fall 1 d *** examination showed a crack line on the crown of tooth *** beam computed tomography(CBCT)images of tooth 11 showed signs of hard tissue deposition between the fractured *** patient recalled that tooth 11 had struck the floor 1 year ago without seeking any other *** case 2,a 10-year-old girl fell down 1 d ago and wanted to have her teeth *** examination showed a fracture line on the crown of tooth *** images of tooth 21 also showed signs of hard tissue deposition between the fractured *** also had a history of dental trauma 1 year ago and her tooth 11 received dental treatment by another *** to her periapical radiograph at that time,tooth 21 was fractured 1 year ago and the fracture was overlooked by her *** of these two cases showed spontaneous healing of complicated crown-root *** over 4 years of follow-up,both fractured teeth showed no signs of *** These findings may provide new insights and perspectives on the management and treatment of crown-root fractures in children.

Background: Alveolar ridge resorption still continues to be a problem in oral surgery. Cause of bone resorption is including tooth extraction, periodontal disease and inflammatory periapical pathologies. Various methods and materials have been suggested to minimize this resorption. Aim: Goal of this case report is to present alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) following horizontally fractured maxillary lateral incisor with allograft in the aesthetic zone. Case presentation: 30-year-old female patient with fractured tooth was treated by grafting and insertion dental implant. Fractured tooth extraction was performed and extraction socket augmentation was performed by allograft and covered with collagen membrane. Augmented area was treated with bone-level implant. Definitive prosthesis single-tooth porcelain-fused-to-zirconia restorations were fabricated. Conclusions: Before implant insertion, extraction and grafting socket procedure is appropriate treatment for of fractured teeth with granulation tissue.

Analysis of Types and Causes of traumatic dental Injuries to Permanent Dentition among Patients Attending Tertiary Care Hospital of Pakistan

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the age, gender, causes, place of trauma, and type of crown fracture in permanent dentition among patients attending Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Hospital (LUMHS), Jamshoro, Pakistan. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at the Operative Dentistry Department of LUMHS hospital over a period of six months. All patients (6 - 40 years of age) who had a history of dental trauma and attending dental OPD were included in this study. The data for all patients were recorded in a predesigned proforma. Data were collected on age, gender, place of trauma (playground, road, home), cause of trauma (fall, playing, road accident, bicycle accident, collisions, fighting) and associated symptoms. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. Mean and the standard deviation was computed for a quantitative variable like age. Frequency and percentage were calculated for qualitative variables like gender, risk factors, and pattern of trauma. Results: A total of 82 patients were enrolled. The most frequent age group involved was 13 - 20 years (46%) with males (58.5%) predominance. The majority of trauma cases were due to fall (36.6%) while playing and 19.5% were bicycle accidents. The most commonly affected tooth was right maxillary central incisor (46.6%) followed by left maxillary central incisor (28.4%). Of the 116 teeth examined, 56.0% had a complicated crown fracture and 44.0% had an uncomplicated crown fracture.
