since 1978, rural urbanization has been accelerated in the Zhujiang (Pearl) River delta because of the rapid development of commodity agriculture, industrialization and tertiary industry. Its natural urban population increase had been mostly mechanical before now, and the towns have been transformed from traditional centers into those serving various functions, particularly industrial *** the Zhujiang River delta, population density and the level of economic changes are high in central areas, and low in outlying area, but on the other hand, urban population has increased slowly in central area and fast in outlying area. In the central areas more industrial towns emerge. So the gap has been greatly reduced. The reform of the construction of the region’s economy, the improvement of transportation, the adjustment of the standard of town setting have promoted the distribution of the towns in the Zhujiang River delta from being centralized to balanced.

The sedimentary history of a Huanghe(Yellow)River delta lobe can be divided into four *** the first stage,the crevasse splays and short-lived distributary channel deposits in the subaerial deltaand sheet silt in the subaqueous delta were well *** the second stage,further differentiationof sedimentary environments occurred in the subaerial delta lobe(distributary channel,natural levee,flood plain,central lower delta plain and lateral lower delta plain)and the subaqueous delta lobe(prodelta,delta front and delta lateral).In the third stage,crevasse splay and short-lived distributarychannel deposits mostly occurred in the lower or lower-middle part of the subaerial delta lobe,andsheet silt accumulated off the river *** the fourth stage,the abandoned lobe was *** common vertical sequence of the modern Huanghe River delta showed alternating clayey silt andsilt layers.A complete sequence from prodelta to upper delta plain was commonly composed of twoor more delta lobes.

In this paper, Shunde City is selected as a typical region standing for the Zhujiang delta because of its excellent location and dike-pond *** are three main characters of agricultural land use in this region. First, the most typical land use form is dike-pond system. It is a special form of artificial ecosystem of land-water interaction. Second, sandy field is also an important land type in this region. Third, land use is greatly influenced by export-oriented economy. Recently, with economic reforming and the opening up of the Zhujiang delta, the structure of agricultural land use has been changed greatly. The area of mulberry dike has decreased and a variety of planting crops has *** structure of dike-pond farming has emerged in the Zhujiang delta such as 'fruit dike-fish pond', 'flower dike-fish pond', 'grass dike-fish pond', 'vegetable dike-fish pond'. The area of water has slightly increased and its development tends to modernization due to the use of modern equipment and advanced breeding ways. The area for 'three high'(high yield, high quality and high efficiency) agriculture has increased greatly.

ABSTRACT: The potential evapotranspiration of specific crops in the Changjiang delta is calculated by using Pen-man-Monteith method, and an agricultural water consumption model in the area is developed on the basis of agricultural production situation. This model has higher precision compared with actual data and can reflect the actual status of agriculture water need. Considering the meteorological, hydrological, economical development situation of the Changjiang delta, this paper calculates and analyzes the volumes of agricultural water consumption in 2000, 2010, 2030 and 2050 under different climate change conditions and different development speeds of urbanization in future. The result shows agriculture water demand increases with temperature rising and decreases obviously with cultivated area reducing. For the Changjiang delta, the volume of agricultural water consumption in the future will less than that of present.

The STEPHI (STEllar PHotometry International) network was set up to obtain long runs of high quality photometry data of a representative set of δ Scuti type *** sites are involved: Observatorio del teide (hereafter OT), Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain;Xinglong Station (hereafter XL), Hebei Province, China; Observatorio Astronomico Nacional de San Pedro Martir (hereafter SPM), Baja California Norte, Mexico. The interval of 120°in longitude between the 3 sites allows uninterrupted observations and it improves greatly the spectral window of the frequency analysis. The instrumentation is characterized by two main, choices: the four-channel photometers and the 1.5 to 2 m telescopes. The

Corridors are special patches with narrow and long shape, and often have the functions as transportation,protection, resources and aesthetics. Corridors in the study area can be classilied into 8 types, with a total length of 5167. 2 km, and conidor density of 1. 25 km/km2. The conidore are mainly composed of irrigation and drainag canals,the total length of which is 2794 km,about 54. 1% of all the corridors. The conidors have segmented the landscape, and changed the original situation of the natural landscapes. The types of conidors are clooely related to the landscape types they are distributed in. Canals are maily distributed in the wetland landscapes, while roads are mainly in the built-up area. Dikes are always along rivers or coastlines. The conidors are most densely distributed wherever human activity occurs most bouendy, such as in the artifical wedlands of paddy fields.

Guangdong CDC published in preprint a critically important study of the effectiveness of China’s inactivated vaccines against the B.1.617.2(delta)variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)—a strain of the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and is circulating globally(1–2).The delta variant managed to get through China’s strong international border quarantine protection and spark an outbreak in Guangdong Province in May–June *** the outbreak was being stopped using guidance of the Protocol for Prevention and Control of COVID-19(3),the investigators took advantage of provisions in the Protocol that identified close contacts of anyone infected with SARS-CoV-2。
