Integrated River Basin Management(IRBM)has been a long discussed way to sustainably manage water and land resources;yet,very few examples of effective IRBM are found because there is a lack of sufficient scientific support,as well as institutional accommodation,to successfully implement *** paper overviews the major challenges with IRBM,the promising scientific approaches for the implementation of IRBM,and the areas of needed research,with considerable issues and experiences from *** is expected that novel research will draw together disparate disciplines into an integrated scientific framework,upon which better modeling tools,stakeholder involvement,and decision-making support can be ***-edge new technologies will bring ideas of IRBM forward to theory and finally to *** paper will prompt scientists to undertake research to fill in the gaps in the current IRBM knowledge base and provide practitioners guidance on how to incorporate scientifically based information within the IRBM decision process.

The paper presents an important aspect of Neural Nets application, i. e., their usefulness for decision support. The essential feature of the neural net approach to decision making is that it is a black-box approach, which means one does not try to model the underlying processes, but only looks for a tuning of the parameters of the neural net such that the black-box mimics the sensible behavior. Through the existing widespread applications in industry, business and science, the paper emphasizes their common property as a paradigm for decision support.

Background:Although thermal indices have been proposed for swine,none to our knowledge differentiate by reproductive stage or predict thermal comfort using behavioral and physiological *** study objective was to develop a behavior and physiology-based decision support tool to predict thermal comfort and stress in multiparous(3.28±0.81)non-pregnant(n=11),mid-gestation(n=13),and late-gestation(n=12)***:Regression analyses were performed using PROC MIXED in SAS 9.4 to determine the optimal environmental indicator[dry bulb temperature(TDB)and dew point]of heat stress(HS)in non-pregnant,mid-gestation,and lategestation sows with respiration rate(RR)and body temperature(TB)successively used as the dependent variable in a cubic function.A linear relationship was observed for skin temperature(T_(S))indicating that TDB rather than the sow HS response impacted T_(S)and so T_(S)was excluded from further *** stage was significant for all analyses(P<0.05).Heat stress thresholds for each reproductive stage were calculated using the inflections points of RR for mild HS and TB for moderate and severe *** HS inflection points differed for non-pregnant,mid-gestation,and late gestation sows and occurred at 25.5,25.1,and 24.0℃,*** HS inflection points differed for non-pregnant,mid-gestation,and late gestation sows and occurred at 28.1,27.8,and 25.5℃,*** HS inflection points were similar for non-pregnant and mid-gestation sows(32.9℃)but differed for late-gestation sows(30.8℃).These data were integrated with previously collected behavioral thermal preference data to estimate the TDB that non-pregnant,mid-gestation,and late-gestation sows found to be cool(TDB

Research into medical artificial intelligence(AI)has made significant advances in recent years,including surgical *** scoping review investigated AI-based decision support systems targeted at the intraoperative phase of surgery and found a wide range of technological approaches applied across several surgical *** the twenty-one(n=21)included papers,three main categories of motivations were identified for developing such technologies:(1)augmenting the information available to surgeons,(2)accelerating intraoperative pathology,and(3)recommending surgical *** many of the proposals hold promise for improving patient outcomes,important methodological shortcomings were observed in most of the reviewed papers that made it difficult to assess the clinical significance of the reported performance *** limitations,the current state of this field suggests that a number of opportunities exist for future researchers and clinicians to work on AI for surgical decision support with exciting implications for improving surgical care.

Large amounts of documents are exchanged during the construction phase of projects, which covers the important management information. To utilize the exchanged documents to support decisionmaking of the management staffs, the requirement analysis was carried out based on the interviews to the practitioners. A decision support system called Explyzer+ was developed based on the previous prototype system Explyzer. The latter was enhanced by adding the functions to automate the whole process and the techniques of data mining including decision tree analysis and clustering analysis. A case study for in-depth information analysis was conducted based on the data obtained from a large construction project to demonstrate its feasibility and effectiveness. The system could effectively assist the management staffs to carry out in-depth information analysis for decision-making in construction projects.

Along with the gradual maturity of Pickup and Delivery Customers to Airport service （PDCA）, transactional management can’t meet the needs of Flight Tickets Sale Companies （FTSC） which implemented PDCA. In fact, company urgently demands statistical information from the accumulated data of service to make correct decisions. Therefore, the aim of the research is to evaluate and analyze the historical data of PDCA platform to help companies successfully decide how to arrange their operational tactics. According to the feature of PDCA, importance and content of statistical information of PDCA is proposed. By our implemented platform, we show how to use the statistical information to provide decision support for the companies which implemented PDCA. These results of the analysis also prove that the statistical information make the company easily master the whole condition of PDCA and adjust the operation method to obtain the better profits.

Firstly this paper analyses some questions of R&D, socio-economic coordinated development in the regional development, and then establishes a mathematical description of the coordinated development decision objective. Secondly, it proposes an hierarchical fuzzy comprehensive judgmental method for quantitative appraisal which is based on AHP. Finally, according to the historical data of Shaanxi province, the paper takes advantage of qualitative reasoning and quantitative computing meta-synthesis method for decision simulation. A series of satisfied policy assemblages are given for decision reference.

The system created aims to produce an online vaccination appointment scheduling system with geo-tagging integration and a decision-support mechanism for neighborhood health clinics. With a decision support mechanism that suggests the essential vaccines based on their account details, it is made to meet the unique vaccination needs of each patient. The system includes immunizations that are accessible locally, and patients and midwives can manage their own corresponding information through personal accounts. Viewers of websites can visualize the distribution of vaccines by purok thanks to geotagging. The Agile Scrum Methodology was modified by the researchers for early delivery, change flexibility, and continual system improvement in order to accomplish the study’s main goal. In order to assess the system’s acceptability in terms of functional adequacy, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability, it was designed in accordance with the ISO 25010 Product Software Quality Standards. Following the assessment, the system was given an average total weighted mean score of 4.62, which represents a verbal interpretation of “strongly agree”. This score demonstrates that the evaluators were in agreement that the system met the requirements of ISO 25010 for Product Software Quality Standards.
