CONSENSUS control DESIGN FOR MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS USING RELATIVE OUTPUT FEEDBACK

This paper studies the consensus problem of multi-agent systems in which all agents are modeled by a general linear system. The authors consider the case where only the relative output feedback between the neighboring agents can be measured. To solve the consensus problem, the authors first construct a static relative output feedback control under some mild constraints on the system model. Then the authors use an observer based approach to design a dynamic relative output feedback control. If the adjacent graph of the system is undirected and connected or directed with a spanning tree, with the proposed control laws, the consensus can be achieved. The authors note that with the observer based approach, some information exchange between the agents is needed unless the associated adjacent graph is completely connected.

Adaptive variable structure control for large-scale time-delayed systems with unknown nonlinear dead-zone

The problem of adaptive fuzzy control for a class of large-scale, time-delayed systems with unknown nonlinear dead-zone is discussed here. Based on the principle of variable structure control, a design scheme of adaptive, decentralized, variable structure control is proposed. The approach removes the conditions that the dead-zone slopes and boundaries are equal and symmetric, respectively. In addition, it does not require that the assumptions that all parameters of the nonlinear dead-zone model and the lumped uncertainty are known constants. The adaptive compensation terms of the approximation errors axe adopted to minimize the influence of modeling errors and parameter estimation errors. By theoretical analysis, the closed-loop control system is proved to be semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded, with tracking errors converging to zero. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

Scalable coordination of photovoltaic(PV)inverters,considering the uncertainty in PV and load in distribution networks(DNs),is challenging due to the lack of real-time *** PV inverter setpoints can be achieved to address this issue by capitalizing on the abundance of data from smart utility meters and the scalable architecture of artificial neural networks(ANNs).To this end,we first use an offline,centralized data-driven conservative convex approximation of chance-constrained optimal power flow(CVaR-OPF)in which conditional value-at-risk(CVaR)is used to compute reactive power setpoints of PV inverter,taking into account PV and load uncertainties in *** that,an artificial neural network(ANN)controller is trained for each PV inverter to emulate the optimal behavior of the centralized control setpoints of PV inverter in a decentralized ***,the voltage regulation performance of the developed ANN controllers is compared with other decentralized designs(local controllers)developed using model-based learning(regressionbased controller),optimization(affine feedback controller),and case-based learning(mapping)*** tests using real-world feeders corroborate the effectiveness of ANN controllers in voltage regulation and loss minimization.

In this paper,a decentralized adaptive iterative learning control algorithm for reconfigurable manipulators is *** dynamics of reconfigurable manipulators is represented as a set of interconnected subsystems.A local learning controller for each subsystem is constructed by a neural network learning component and a robust learning component to adaptively compensate for the unknown dynamic functions and *** a bounding condition on the nonlinear interconnections,the iterative learning controller guarantees that all the internal signals are bounded during the learning process and the state tracking errors of each subsystem converge asymptotically to a tunable residual set over a finite time *** simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized adaptive iterative learning control scheme.

Based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach, a decentralized backstepping adaptive iterative learning control scheme is proposed for a class of interconnected nonlinear systems with strict feedback form. The interconnections among subsystems are assumed to be bounded by high order polynomials. The proposed controller of each subsystem depends only on local state variables without any information exchange with other subsystems. The adaptive parameters are updated along both iteration axis and time one to counter the effects of the interconnections. It is shown that by using the proposed decentralized controller, the outputs of the subsystems can track the desired reference outputs iteratively. Our simulation results also show that the output tracking errors of each subsystem converge along the iterative axis.
