This paper is first to exemplify the problems caused by culture difference. After this, a survey is made on Chinese-western culture difference and its main aspects, followed by the Chinese and western culture difference on the layer of language. In the second part the discussion of the relationship between language and culture reveals the importance of culture education in language teaching. The author is of the opinion that one cannot really master a target language without adequate knowledge of the culture related to that language. The paper concludes with several suggestions about useful ways to get culture fusion in ELT and points out that human beings do not live in the objective world alone, nor alone in the world of social activity as ordinarily understood but are very much at the mercy of the particular language which has become the medium of expression for their society. It is quite an illusion that language is merely an incidental means of solving specific problems of communication or reflection.

This theoretical paper presents the influence of learning styles and culture values on facilitating undergraduate students＇ learning. Learning styles describe the way people process information. Many learning style inventories have been developed and applied widely, for example, Kolb＇s Learning Style Inventory （LSI） and Honey and Mumford＇s Learning Styles Questionnaire （LSQ）. However, limited research has been conducted in the field of hospitality and tourism higher education, particularly in eastern culture. Past research in the hospitality and tourism higher education did not reveal if certain learning styles can contribute to better learning outcomes, however, there is a significant difference in preferred learning styles of students in terms of different cultural values. Therefore, it makes it pivotal to consider the influence of culture difference when examining how learning styles contribute to better learning outcomes in future research. Therefore, hospitality and tourism educators can properly plan useful strategies to accommodate different learning styles and enhance students＇ learning.

Language is the most important tool in the communication of human beings. The appropriateness of language means the clear and accurate utterance, the smooth expression and the proper expression effect. Language context refers to the real situation in which language is used, which is a significant factor during the translation activities. This thesis studies the appropriateness of language under the context theory through cases and comparison and proposes some ways to better achieve the appropriateness of language under the English-Chinese context.
