Synthesis and Herbicidal Activity of Novel N-Allyloxy/Propargyloxy Aryloxyphenoxy Propionamide Derivatives

A series of novel N-allyloxy/propargyloxy aryloxyphenoxy propionamide compounds was designed and prepared. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by means of 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS, elemental analysis and IR. The bioassay results indicate that when against Digitaria sanguinalis and Echinochloa crus-galli, （R）-N-（propargyloxy）-2-{4-[（6-chloroquinoxalin-2-yl） oxy] phenoxy}propanamide（1m）（IC50=6.8 and 6.5 g/hm2, respectively） and （R）-N-（allyloxy）-2-{4-[（6-chloroquinoxalin-2-yl） oxy]phenoxy}propanamide（1r）（IC50=7.4 and 6.0 g/hm2, respectively） are much more effective than commercial aryloxyphenoxypropionic ester herbicide clodinafop-propargyl（IC50=46.5 and 14.6 g/hm2, respectively）. The results of crop selectivity show that compounds 1m and 1r are safe to soybean, rape and cotton and can be used as herbicides for soybean, rape and cotton crop.

4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase(EC 1.***.11.27,HPPD) is an important enzyme in the catabolism of tyrosine,which converts 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate(HPPA) into homogentisate(HGA).In plants,HGA is an important precursor for the biosynthesis of tocopherol and plastoquinone,two compounds crucial for the normal growth of *** HPPD is inhibited,the plant will be severely damaged by sunlight,becoming bleached and eventually undergoing necrosis and death. Inhibition of HPPD is one of the most promising modes of action of *** is widely reported that quinazoline-2,4-dione is an important chemical scaffolds,because these derivatives often posses a variety of biological activities,such as antitumor,anti-inflammatory,antidiabetic,anti-infective,and antiobesity properties. Although the derivatives of quinazoline-2,4-dione are extensively studied in medical chemistry,the research of them in agrochemicals is very scare,especially the herbicidal activity of them need to be further *** explore the herbicidal activity of quinazoline-2,4-dione derivatives,and study their HPPD-inhibiting activity,we designed and synthesized a series of novel triketone-containing quinazoline-2,*** in vitro tests indicated that many of the newly synthesized compounds displayed good AtHPPD inhibitory activity with K values ranging from 0.005 to 0.668 μ*** addition,the greenhouse experiments indicated that most of the synthesized compounds showed good or excellent herbicidal activity against broadleaf and monocotyledonous weeds at the dosages of 37.5-150 g ai/*** promisingly,some compounds showed significantly improved crop selectivity compared with mesotrione.
