In this work,we have reported the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of captopril(Cap)coordination compounds:Cu(Cap)·2H 2O,Cr(Cap)·H 2O,Zn(Cap)·3H 2O and Mg(Cap)***,it is worthily mentioned that the FTIR spectroscopic technique was employed to recognized the nature of coordination between captopril ligand and copper,chromium,zinc and magnesium(Ⅱ)metal *** view of the infrared spectroscopic tool,the copper(Ⅱ)metal ion coordinated toward captopril drug ligand through sulfur atom of SH group dependent on the absent of stretching vibration band of—*** on this result,the stretching motion ofνa(COO)shifts clearly indicates that Cu 2+,Cr 2+,Zn 2+and Mg 2+the carboxylic group is employed as coordinative site for all compounds as a metal-ligand coordinative *** a general behavior,it is verified that the coordination compound thermal stability(considering the release of captopril molecules,not the release of water molecules)is affected by the metal cation radius:minor radius is associated with higher thermal stability,probably due to a higher metal-captopril bond dissociation enthalpy.

The present work describes the synthesis of a novel heterocyclic azo dye by general diazonization of 2-amino-4,5-dimethylthiazole followed by the diazo- coupling of the resulting diazonium ion with 5-methyl-2-(propan-2-yl)phenol to obtain ligand L. This was characterized using Fourier-transformed infrared and electronic spectrophotometry. Ligand L was further coordinated with five metal ions, M:L, 1:2 [M = Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Ni(II) and Co(II)]. A Study on coordination compounds of Diacetylpyridine bis （semi-carbazone） with Some Transition, Metal Ions by Spectrophotometry

We synthesized 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis（semicarbazone）（DAPSC） and studied its coordination reaction with Cu, Co, Ni and Zn, in ethanol and in DMF spectrophotometrically. We realized that the ligand DAPSC in ethanol and in DMF does not dissociate and exists in ketonic form by conductometry and IK. The composition and stability constants of coordination compounds were calculated by graphic method and by self-written program. The results obtained by the two methods are in agreement with each other. The results showed that complexes of ML type were formed in ethanol and those of M3L2 tyPe in DMF. The sequence of lgβ is as follows: Co > Cu >Ni >Zn.

Coordination compounds of 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one with iron(III), cobat(III) and chromium(III) were synthesized with M:L (1:2). Mixed ligand coordination compounds of 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one and 1,2-diaminocyclohexane using the same metal ions were also synthesized M:L1:L2 (1:1:1) where L1 is 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one and L2 is 1,2-diaminocyclohexane. The coordination compounds obtained were characterized using electronic and infrared spectral analyses, magnetic susceptibility and percentage metal analysis. They were also evaluated for their cytotoxic and antioxidant activities. The result obtained suggested that octahedral geometry was obtained for all the compounds, as a result of additional two molecules of the solvent coordinated to the metal ions. Both the primary and secondary ligands coordinated in a bidentate fashion. The synthesized compounds exhibited moderate cytotoxicity, although none was as active as the standard. The cobalt(III) mixed ligand complex elicited the highest activity. The synthesized compounds all exhibited good to moderate antioxidant activity.

Coordination compounds of 2-amino-3-methylbutanoic acid were synthesized with chromium(III) and oxovanadium(IV) ions. M:L;1:2. Adducts of these complexes using 1,10-phenantroline and ethylenediamine were further synthesized, M:L, (1:2). These compounds were characterized using electronic, infra-red spectrophotometry, magnetic susceptibility measurement and percentage metal analyses. The zones of inhibition and minimum inhibitory concentrations of the compounds against eight microbes were studied. The results obtained indicated an octahedral geometry for the Cr(III) complexes, indicative of additional coordination of two water molecules. On the other hand a square pyramid geometry was obtained for the binary oxovanadium complex and its 1,10-phenantroline adduct. However, for the oxovanadium ethylenediamine adduct a distorted octahedral geometry was proposed. The result for the antibacterial studies indicated that both mixed ligand complexes of 1,10-phenantroline exhibited good antibacterial activity, and in some cases better activity than the standard, streptomycin.

Well-defined crystalline coordination compound catalysts have showcased distinct advantages in the regulation of the species and selectivity of electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction ***,the systematic study of the crystal-facet effect of crystalline coordination compounds on the performance of electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction has not yet been ***,a stable hexanuclear copper cluster(Cu6)catalyst model system is designed and *** effectively regulating the growth size(micro-nano size)and morphology of the Cu6 single crystal,Cu6(P)with the main(100)facet,Cu6(H)with the main(100)and(001)facets,and Cu6(S)with the main(001)facet are *** Cu6(P)via Cu6(H)to Cu6(S),there is a shift from the predominantly exposed(100)facet(involving two non-adjacent active Cu sites)to the(001)facet(involving three adjacent active Cu sites),which directly affects the adsorption direction of the key*CO intermediate and the potential of C-C coupling,thus enabling effective regulation of the selectivity of C1(CO and CH4)and C2(C2H4)reduction *** work provides an essential molecular model system and a novel design perspective for the systematic study of the crystalfacet effect of coordination compounds on the species and selectivity of CO_(2)reduction reaction products.

Two New coordination Complexes Based on Eosin Y Dye Ligand：Syntheses,Crystal Structures and Magnetic Properties

Two novel coordination compounds formulated as [Co2（EY）2（L1）]·2C2H5OH（1） and [Mn2（EY）2（L1）]·2C2H5OH（2）（EY = Eosin Y dianion, L1 = 4,4＇-bipyridine） based on Eosin Y dye ligand have been prepared by solvothermal reactions and structurally characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies reveal that compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural. They show weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the adjacent Co^Ⅱ and Mn^Ⅱ ions, respectively.
