Improving accuracy of damage quantification based on two-level consistency control of PZT layers

Structural health monitoring-based quantitative damage diagnosis technique plays a key role in real-time condition monitoring.Among the current research,piezoelectric(PZT)sensor and Guided Wave(GW)based damage quantification methods are promising,which normally establish a calibration model between GW feature and damage degree by experiments on batch specimens,and then conduct the calibration model on the monitored specimen.However,the accuracy of PZT and GW based damage quantification is affected by dispersion introduced by sensor network performance,structural material,and damage propagation among the adopted batch specimens.For improving the accuracy of damage quantification,this paper adopts PZT layer as sensor network and creatively implements theoretical and experimental research on batch PZT layers consistency control.On one hand,a two-level consistency control method based on multidimensional features-Euclidean distance is proposed to ensure the performance consistency of PZT layers placed on different specimens.On the other hand,experimental research on typical aircraft lug structures is also carried out to evaluate the requirement on performance consistency of PZT layers when performing quantitative damage diagnosis,and further verify the proposed two-level consistency control method.Experimental results show that the accuracy of damage quantification raises by 38% when the dispersion of different PZT layers is controlled within 5%.

An autotuning PID method based on modified relay feedback for stable process is presented.The modified relay is made up of a standard relay followed by a PI controller.The proportional gain of the PI controller is set as a unity and the integral time constant of it is chosen so as to ensure a minimum loop phase margin of p/6.The PID controller is designed in terms of the limit cycle output data generated by the modified relay.The derivative time constant is determined by maintaining the loop phase margin mentioned above.Minimizing the distance of Nyquist curve of the loop transfer function from the imaginary axis of the complex plane gives the proportional gain.The integral time constant of the PID controller is set equal to the integral time constant of the PI controller of the modified relay.The resulting PID controller is used to pulp consistency control of a papermaking machine and good effectiveness is obtained.

Customer’s request becomes more various and the order transaction becomes larger due to the globalization of E- commerce. Strategic alliance and collaboration should be formed by complementary merger since the order transaction process has been changed from a traditional portal to the collaboration between enterprise platforms. A B2X middleware is introduced to support collaborative E-business by strategic alliance. consistency of order transaction processing from different ERP interfaces with the B2X middleware is analyzed and related solutions are proposed to make sure the distributed order transaction is consistent during the process with B2X middleware.

This paper presents a distributed control method based on consistency control for unmanned aerial vehicles（UAVs） formation flight in three-dimensional space. Aiming at leader-follower model, an elastic distance vector is designed based on the positional relation between the leader and followers and the instantaneous velocity of UAV, which gives the formation speed adaptability. What’s more, a consensus control protocol including communication gain and feedback gain is proposed for the formation. Simulation results verify the correctness and validity of the given controller and show the feasibility and operability of the elastic formation method.
